Lullabies

"So, when did you guys start dating?" Zack asks. Already from this weekend, Zack's seemed to open up to them. Quicker than I had expected him to. I didn't even hesitate to answer him.

"I was texting her yesterday and I finally thought it was time to tell her I liked her, and then I found out that she likes me too." Alex explains. I was so happy to be able to finally announce that I was with her and not have to be harmed about it.

"Yah, what he said." Megan says sort of laughing. "As soon as he found out I liked him back, it made him ask me out and here yah go." Yep, sounds about right. We continued to hang out for the day, and after the time going fast yet again, we had to go home. Well, Jack, Zack, Rian and Kayla did. Megan was allowed to hang till about 9 or 10, because now that her mom knew we were dating, she didn't care how long she was over as long as she got home. We were in my room, just Megan and I snuggling and talking about little things just to get to know each other a little more one on one. Just then, Megan's phone rang. I saw her look down to see who it was.

"Hang on just a sec kay Alex?" She says looking at me and answering the phone. I let her answer, but still left my arms wrapped around her. "Yellow." was her way of saying hello on the phone. For whatever reason, I thought it was funny, so I smiled trying to hold back my laughter. I was curious what the conversation was and who it was for that matter. "What? What happened? Is everything ok?" Each time she spoke I wondered who it was. "Oh my God yay!" Things are working out perfect huh?!" Also, each time she spoke I got more curious about what was going on. "Well I'll call ya later, I'm still with Alex." Ok, I was finally going to figure out what it was about. She then got off the phone and looks at me.

"It was Kayla. Apparently Jack and Kayla are dating now. Pretty awesome huh?" She asks me. Hm, seems like things really worked out for Jack and I. All in one weekend too, it's intense.

"Yah, I guess. Jack's liked her for quite a while. But I've like you much longer." I say smiling and snuggling her closer. I didn't realize how cheesy that sounded till after I said it. Though I saw that she had a huge smile on her face, so I guess it wasn't so bad. Before I knew it, I was driving her home. When we got to her house, I let her out of the car and took her up to the door as I usually did. She was just about to grab the door handle and go in and I grabbed her arm stopping her. She let go of the door handle and came back to me. I grabbed her hands and held her really close to me. I began to get nervous because I had something huge planned, and could only hope that it would work out.
