Lullabies

I was laying in bed lazily wishing I could go back to sleep. Unfortunately for me, I had school that I had to get ready for. Luckily, it was Friday, and I was going to be able to hang out with my 3 buds Jack Barakat, Zack Merrick and Rian Dawson. I decided to get out of bed and get myself ready for the day. I threw on some clothes that I could find laying around my room, went in the bathroom and made sure I looked decent and left the house in a matter of 5 to 10 minutes. I hopped in my car and was on my way to school.

When I got there, I instantly met up with the rest of the guys and we chilled till we had to head to first period. We have been best friends since freshman year and with us being in a band together, I guess you could say were inseparable. Oh, I forgot to mention my name. I'm Alex Gaskarth, of course being the most awesome of the 4 of us, just saying. The bell rang and all 4 of us headed to our 1st period. The 4 of us had almost all of our classes together. There was maybe 1 or 2 classes that we didn't have together. Oh, and of course, being in high school, I had a crush on a girl. Her name was Megan Reid. She was in a couple of my classes that were towards the end of the day. Jack also had a crush on a girl. Her name was Kayla Caesar. I knew this because Jack and I are closer than we are with Zack and Rian, as we met each other first. Kayla and Megan are best friends from what I can tell, which makes this almost seem ironic. Zack and Rian were also single so were all able to bond through that.

Before I knew it, I was in 4th period Chemistry. I personally don't care for it, but it was a fun class because we all were in that class together. All of us being the 4 of us, and Kayla and Megan. We were randomly chatting about small things when I had this feeling I was being watched, so I look back and notice that Kayla and Megan had been staring at us. They would occasionally look away, but they kept looking back. I then couldn't stop staring at Megan now that I had seen her sitting there.

"Hey Jack, look." I whisper nudging Jack to get his attention without making a huge scene. We both look back and I mentioned how they were staring at us. We then noticed that it looked like they were talking about something. They occasionally laughed, and all I could do was wonder what they could possibly be talking about.

"What do you think they're saying?" Jack asks me.

"I don't know dude. I'm wondering the same thing." I respond. I then see Kayla get up and walk this way. We were doing partner work so Jack, Zack, Rian and I were in a group and it looked like Kayla and Megan were possibly partners. Kayla then says to us,

"Hey, Megan and I are kind of confused about the assignment. Could you guys possibly help us?" I kind of had a feeling that they were onto something. They could've asked anyone in the class, they could've asked the teacher, but they asked us for help. I then give Jack a look, and I whisper,

"Jack, let's do it." Trying to imply that maybe we can get somewhere with this.

"Yea, definitely." Jack tells Kayla. We all get up and walk over to where they had been seated when I noticed Megan become awkward and hide behind her hair while she stared at her work.
