Jack seems like a pretty cool guy, but you're very right with the whole ego thing. Especially since Stevie and Travis are still very close (they literally told each other they loved each other), so it might spark some jealousy in Jack?
They’re cute. I want to see what happens when they go away with each other!
im skeptical about how seemingly well it went when Jack was in the same room as her ex. Neither one of them have a reason for it not to have gone well but you know how fragile men and their egos can be, lol. I’m sure that won’t be the last of it.

Nobody really wants their partner to be jealous of an ex (except maybe a few people) especially if they are still close friends. So I'm pretty sure Stevie won't make it seem like Jack's jealous on purpose. However, she might be blinded?
There are specific ways I worded things (whether it be in speech or in her thoughts) that do point in one direction. They might not be all too obvious, but I'm totally working with the biased narrator thing here. It's just up to you to decide whether I want it to be positive, negative, or neutral ;)

I hope he wasn't! lol. That is very true that we do have a biased narrator, I would like to believe that she is able to read him pretty well a few months in though. lol

I guess it helps if the person who had the 'problem' isn't all too upset and emotional themselves. If Stevie had started crying, I'm sure Jack would have had a very different reaction. But she seems to have accepted it, so he does too.

Thank goodness for that! You never know how people are going to react. It’s kind of a big topic ( even though it’s wayyyy too early for them to be discussing having a baby really) and people do get emotional about that topic.

'Gut instinct', I love your word choice. It is pretty cute she did call him first, although her reasoning behind it was that Judy and David were both away... Maybe she wouldn't have called them, but then again maybe she wouldn't have been alone then.
Can you find what it is that I'm doing wrong, though? I can't find it. Like it's missing its quirkiness or something.

Aaaah. Yes! It's back! I've been waiting patiently since you finished You Leave Me With a Dangerous Taste (like, a week ago, but still).
I actually loved that she called Jack first, purely on gut instinct. Not the healthiest thing to do since she should have called an ambulance, but cute.
Also, I totally know what you mean about the writing style. It takes a while to get back to it!
Holy Shit. Thank goodness she got to the hospital in time!! Jack handled the news really well too. I was worried he was going to be upset.

Same. I was first going to make her love the beach, but then I thought having a beach house and hating the beach was quite ironic. It's exactly the person I imagine Stevie to be.
Some drama has to happen. We'll see if the paparazzi is what causes it ;)
