Does Anyone Even Read the Forums?

I check in pretty often to see if there's anything new, but there rarely is. Anyway, I've become quiet fond of this website and the people I've had the pleasure of meeting here. So I was just thinking, it really sucks that we can comment on each other's profiles. I'm aware that we can do such things on mibba, however that site has changed so much that I'm rarely ever on there anymore. Then I was thinking, well crap, why can't we do blogs/journals on here, either? Because when I know it's going to take me a while to update or I'm stuck and need a little help from my readers, I'd have to post a whole chapter full of rambling just to get their attention! That blows!

Then, get this, I started to wonder.. Since we're all so in love with All Time Low and we all clearly enjoying writing things that involve them, why in heck aren't we doing contest on here?! Are there rules that apply to this website that I'm missing out on?! I know this website is just supposed to be a 'branch' to mibba, but it's so much more personal because we're all connected by one thing: Our love for one band.

I feel like this website is so personal because there really is just a handful of active readers (who comment, I mean), and authors. Admit it, we're all reading and commenting on each other's writing. I've even included my amazing reading family in my story, just because I love them that much. Even if we're going away for a while and we know we won't be able to update, the most we can do is say a few words about it at the end of chapter. THAT ALSO BLOWS!

So I suppose the point I am trying to make is this: Let's bring this website even closer together. Let's make it even more fun and get everyone even more involved. I want to start a writing contest, and then I want someone else to start a writing contest so I can enter, haha! Obviously since this site is so small there won't be many awards to offer the winner, most of the 'cool' stuff would be on mibba, but! The top three winners of my writing contest would be awared a one-shot, where they could even create their own plot. Perhaps first place would get a full story? I don't know, I'm not really sure. Maybe if the other judge is any good at graphics, they could get a banner for their story?

Oh, about that. As stated: I want to do a writing contest, but I will need another judge to help me read, rate and create rules. Their opinion would be equally as important as my own, naturally. I'm thinking we could do an All Time Low songfic contest. Those are pretty fun and simple. (:

Seeing as I'm taking up a lot of your time by ranting on and on, I'll bring this to a close. If anyone is interested in being in this contest or helping me judge, that would be fantastic! For the other judge, it's first come, first serve! Just post a comment below so I can see what thoughts are and such.

I love this idea. I would also love to help out with a contest! It doesn't seem like there are any "rules" here saying it can't happen, so lets make it happen! Do you have a twitter/tumblr?

Sara, you'd join if we started one? Because I'm not going to lie, I already came up with theme, rules and prizes to start one, I was just waiting to see if anyone would actually join, also I wanted another judge to make it a little more fair, ya know?
Sammy, I'm going to message you with ideas and such. If you're gonna judge with me I'd like to involve you in everything I've thought of so far, ya know? That way you can have an input and tell me if you dislike anything. (:

Well if you join, you can't judge. >.<<br /> However, after we complete the one I'm starting, I would absolutely LOVE if someone created another one so I can write for it... Perhaps that person would be you?! Sure thing. Take a head count of how many would join or send them here. As soon as Sammy messages me back to tell me what she thinks of my ideas so far, I'm probably going to go ahead and start getting it going. I'm so stoked! This will be the first time I've ever created one! :D

@BreakingJessie_x I might start my own contests then with my own topics so you can write for it, problem is: I have no idea what I would do for prizes :L but I'm super excited to start writing for yours. I should be posting another chapter of Stay Strong either tonight or tomorrow night so I'll direct everyone in the notes to this page then c:

I think we need to create a book club forum here so everyone can jsut chat about each other's stroies and offer help when some of us get stuck. I know I need help with that. I get writer's block like a bitch and I end up having to make new stories (half of which are in my Fan Fic folder on my computer) because the block got so bad and i needed to write.
And if anyone wants I am so up for a co-author story. I think they would be fun to do and I'd love to get a partner for that. Maybe I can get someone in on one of my stories that is sitting at a stand still due to my writer's block. Hit me up if anyone wants to jumpp in on a co-author.

Luckily with my academic year coming to a close tomorrow with my french final in the evening, I'll be able to get the writing juices flowing and I might get my writer's block to go away. I had it so bad, it effected my french composition I had to do a coupl weeks ago. It sucks when I get it so bad it messes with my school writing.

Oh I have a glitch in my alerts. I have the button on my drop down, but not alerts are there. It's weird and I wish I could fix it. It's really annoying sometimes.
