Chapter 18
School was canceled today. At 12:00, Vic drove me home. I walked into the house only to be bombarded by my brothers friends. "Stella," Kellin said squeezing me. I laughed. Jordan attacked me next. "I missed you squirt," Chris said as he pulled me into a hug. Cameron and Rian sandwiched me in a hug. We all stood there laughing. Jack walked in followed by Alex. It got quiet. "Look Stella," Alex said walking towards me. I slapped him across the face. "Whoa," Kellin said holding me back. Alex held his face, "I deserved that for being an asshole." "Stella calm the fuck down," Jack said to me. I looked at Jack hurt. I got all choked up. I broke free from Kellin's grip as looked at Jack. "I hope this is what you wanted," I said storming up the steps to my room. "Stella," I heard Lydia call from her room. "I'm not in the mood," I said harshly. I heard soft whimpers and some crying. I walked into her room and saw her sitting there crying "Lydia I'm sorry," I said walking to her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I pulled her up. She cried a bit. "I'm sorry baby girl," I said rubbing her back. "It's okay," she said rubbing her eyes, "I know you don't mean it." I laid her down in her bed. "Why don't you take a nap," I said pushing her bangs out of her eyes. She yawned and closed her eyes. I pulled her blanket over her. I gently rubbed my thumb over her forehead. Lydia was basically like my daughter. My mom is never really home to keep an eye on her and Jack is never around anymore, he's off with Gasslut. Her eyes fluttered closed and I kissed her forehead. I gently closed her door behind me and walked into my room. Zack was laying on my bed staring at the ceiling. "Zack," I asked confused. He sat up and ran to me. He hugged me and of course I hugged him back. "Stella I've been thinking. I don't want you to be with Vic, Stells. I don't care if you think it's wrong Stella. I'm in fucking love with you. You don't need Vic, Stella. Listen to me. He will never ever love you as much as I do Stella. He only wants you for you're body Stella. I want you for so much more than just sex," he continued ranting. "Don't say that about Vic. You don't know him like I do Zack," I said defending him. "Stella you don't understand," Zack said. "Get out," I said looking at him. Zack's eyes hardened, "If that's what you want I'll go. When he breaks your heart Stella, don't come looking for me." I watched as he walked out of my room. I sat on my bed and put my head in my hands. There was a part of my that believed Zack was right. He is my best friend after all. Well, Jack was my best friend, key word WAS. Truth was Zack was the only friend I had left that wasn't buying any of Alex's shit and I let him leave without ever wanting to see me again. I screwed myself.
So I originally found this on Mibba, but came over to this site once I saw it wasn't finished on there (and seeing you said you had a profile on here in an author's note), to see if you maybe finished it on here...
You didn't, which is a bummer. :( But you did get one more update up on here in comparison to Mibba, so that's something.
I really like what you have of this story, and bummed that you didn't continue/finish it. Especially after reading this last update; I had a feeling what all was between her and Vic was kind of rigged, but wasn't sure. Now... :O
I'm just wondering why Alex hates her so much. I mean, at first I thought it was because he liked her, so he teased her, but then he just started getting awfully harsh and then like almost took advantage of her... like WTF. I also can't believe Jack would be friends with him after seeing him hit his sister, just because he seemed "alright"... that was a bit weird.
But I think you're a really great writer, other than those missing factors. Some of those you were probably leading into explaining more and just didn't get to, which is really unfortunate.
If you ever find yourself wanting to write for this story again, I will be here to read. I also subscribed to it on Mibba too, although this seems to be the most up-to-date version. But regardless of which platform you post on, I will read. :) I think it's a really intriguing plot line and I would love to see how it all ends.
