Sanctuary - Side 2

Could Life Get Any Better?

The following morning was the one of a Saturday that Abby didn’t have to work, so I was in heaven having her all to myself.

“Good morning.” I said, waking up.

“Good morning.” she mumbled into my chest.

“You sleep good?”

“Mmhmm.”

She didn’t lift her head.

“Comfy, I assume?”

“The comfiest. Can we stay here?”

“I think we should use the bathroom before we do anything else.”

“And I should take my meds.”

Once we did both things, she crawled back into me just as nude as we were when we woke up.

“Any ideas as to what we can do? We can stay here if you’d like.” I asked.

"Mmm... I don't know. What time is it?"

"Ten."

"Ugh."

I laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" she asked while lying her head on my bare shoulder.

"Because you're cute. That's why."

She playfully rolled her eyes then moved onto my lap.

"How about now? Am I still cute?" she asked kissing my jaw.

I groaned as I closed my eyes and rolled my head back and off to the side; I love when she does this. She proceeded to kiss and bite my neck; she placed my hands on her hips which I immediately gripped.

"No."

"What was that?" she asked looking at me

"No. You're not cute."

"Good. That's all I wanted to hear."

She decided to be a tease and got off of my lap, along with the bed and dashed out the bedroom, all the way laughing.

"Abby! Abby, get back here!"

I went off running and tried to find her in a game of hide-and-seek. She went into the laundry room and locked the door with me knocking on the door seconds later.

"Abby. Let me in."

She continued to laugh and had trouble stopping.

"This isn't funny."

Once I heard her cave in and unlock the door, she backed away from the door and into the dryer which was off to the right.

"You think you're so funny." I said.

"I know I'm funny. I'm hilarious, actually."

She was still in laughter mode.

"You are ridiculous."

I was still trying to remain serious, but I was failing at an epic rate.

"And you love it like you love me." she said, placing her hands on my shoulders.

"You're not wrong." I said, picking her up and placing her on the dryer.

She smiled and pressed her lips onto mine. I pressed my hands onto her hips pushing myself closer to her and she looked at me seductively, licking her lips.

"Ready?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Always."

I entered her and soon, she was in heaven. Aside from having sex in the laundry room and on top of the dryer, this was different because it wasn’t the usual sex we have. It was slower and much more intimate making it more romantic and it wasn’t just sex, it was making love. She wrapped her arms around my neck and placed her head in the crook. We looked straight into each other’s eyes several times and I could just feel the love between the two of us. When we orgasmed, she dug her nails into my back and moaned into my neck while I placed pressure onto her hips.

“We need to make love in here more often, I truly enjoyed it and felt the love.” she breathed.

“So did I.” I said, pressing my forehead up against his.

A lone tear ran down her face causing me concern.

“Why you crying?”

“I don’t know.” she said in a quiet voice.

She placed her head back into the crook of my neck. I picked her up off the dryer and opened up the door, leaving the laundry room and making our way down to our bedroom. A few more tears ran down my collar bone.

“Abby.” I whispered.

I set her back onto the bed and kneeled in front of her and took her hands.

“Are you okay? Did I do something?”

Seeing I was worried, she touched my face.

“I’m beginning to think it’s normal, maybe not for me, but sex is an emotional act after all.”

I nodded.

“That makes sense. Plus, you’ve been through so much over the past month.”

“I hate the crying though. I’ve had enough of that.”

“I know you are, baby.”

“I’m gonna shower. Okay?”

“Okay.”

We kissed and off she went to the bathroom. After her shower, I walked into the bathroom.

“Hey.” she said.

“Hey. How you feeling?”

“Wonderful.”

“Well, you look wonderful.”

She blushed as she began to dry off.

“Thank you. I love you.”

“I love you, too, beautiful.” I said hugging her.

She hugged me back.

“I’m gonna go get dressed.”

By the time she got dressed, she heard her phone ring.

“Hello?” she asked sitting on the bed.

“Abigail Shaw?”

“Yes. This is her.”

I walked into the bedroom.

“I have news that the jury should have a verdict on Monday.”

“Thank you for letting me know.”

She hung up and set her phone down on the bed.

“What’s going on? Who was that?”

“They should have a verdict on Monday.”

“That’s great news.” I said, sitting beside her.

“It is, but it isn’t any less nerve-wracking. I wanna be there when they read it.”

“So do I.”

“I don’t wanna get too ahead of myself, but I wanna celebrate when we win.”

“I am 100% up for that.”
