Alex’s POV
“What the fucking hell was you playing at!” Dakota shouted at me as we got back to the camp and I looked at him confused.
“What do you mean something I have done!? I wasn’t the fucking one in full wolf form nearly ready to rip his bloody head of his body. If it wasn’t for Sansa standing in front of Jack while I shifted back and got him out of the woods we would be the ones the humans will be after!” I said loudly and Dakota hands went into a fist ready to punch me but a the same time he knew better than not to punch me.
“He shouldn’t of been in the woods.” Rudi said and I looked at him.
“He got lost in the woods.” I said and Dakota scoffed loudly.
“He’s probably just saying that because he’s one of them.” Dakota said and I was going to say something when Sansa spoke up.
“He has kind eyes. The hunters don’t have kind eyes like he does.” Sansa said and Rudi rolled his eyes.
“You’re just saying that because you like Alex more than us and that Alex has a soft spot on him.” Rudi said and I laughed sarcastically.
“I haven’t got a soft spot for him. Barely even know him because when I go and talk to someone you lot are giving me the glare.” I said and Sansa looked at me.
“Also, if he was a hunter he wouldn’t of been ready to shit his little panties when he saw us. He would of shot you right between the eyes.” I said as I walked over to Dakota and pressed my finger between his eyebrows.
“And you know it as well.” I said coldly as I turned round and headed towards the lake.
I was busy looking out at the lake and because it was a full moon you could seen everything pretty much everything because of the moonlight.
“Mama and papa want us home.” Rudi said as he sat next to me.
“The hunters are far away from here. I can’t hear them talking anymore.” I said quietly as I rested my chin on my knee.
“That could mean nothing Alex and you know that.” Rudi said and I looked at him.
“Okay to make it more clearer for you. I can’t hear there hearts pounding in their chest and I can’t hear the buzz they can’t help but let off because they are so excited to kill us Rudi. So we are perfectly safe.” I said and Rudi frowned at me because yes I can get a little snappy and touchy with everyone but I’m normally not this bad.
“What’s going on Lex?” Rudi asked carefully.
“I have no bloody clue Rudi. I mean he’s just stuck in my head and nobody has ever been like that. Even the fuck buddies, they never was this stuck in my head.” I said as I looked at Rudi.
“You know what that means don’t you.” Rudi said and I groaned as I nodded.
“Yep, means the messed up wolf claim is kicking in. Christ this is going to make school a whole lot harder now.” I said and Rudi chuckled.
“And fucking trust it to be me that could have bloody feelings for a human.” I said and Rudi pulled me into his side and he kissed the top of my head.
“You are the strange one. So I think we’re just going to accept it a bit better from you than if it was me, Dakota and Sansa because you are different to the rest of us.” Rudi said and it made me smile.
“Don’t over think it alright. You need to come home now.” Rudi said and I sighed as I stood up and we went home.
“You four are just fucking stupid!” Papa said loudly as we all stood in the sitting room getting told off for even being in the woods late at night.
“But we was careful though.” Dakota said and I scoffed.
“Yeah because nearly ripping Jack to shreds was you being careful.” I said sarcastically and Dakota glared at me.
“Zip It Alex.” Dakota growled because if papa knew that we showed any signs of harming the humans we weren’t allowed out in the woods at night or during the day in wolf form.
“Don’t zip it Alex, blurt it out.” Papa said and to be honest I would rather get a beating of Dakota than getting shouted at by papa.
“This boy at school that I’m talking too got himself lost in the woods. Dakota here scared the shit out of him by standing close to him with his teeth showing and growling at him. Sansa stood in front of Jack to make sure Dakota didn’t do anything while I quickly shifted back to human to get him out of the woods.” I said and papa nodded at me as he glared at Dakota.
“You are 19 years old Dakota you should know better by now to control your temper. I mean for god sake Alex is pretty hot headed and even he can keep his cool better than you can.” Papa said.
“Also you dumbass, what would you of done if this human was a hunter. You could of been killed p, you could of put your brothers and sister in danger. All because you wanted to prove a point.” Papa said and I had to resist the urge to say told you so.
“But the kid wasn’t a hunter so I’m good.” Dakota said cockily and that pissed papa off and before we knew it Dakota was pinned to the floor getting put back in his place and I looked at Sansa who shrugged her shoulders at me because normally that was me.
“You 3 out now.” Papa growled and we pretty much left the sitting room pretty quickly as Dakota was going to get a good telling off by papa.
I went to my room and found something to watch to kill some time.

I was standing at my locker getting what I needed for my lessons when someone stood by my locker and I looked and I saw Jack.
“Hey Jack.” I said happily and Jack smiled but he had his head looking down.
“Hey Alex.” Jack said quietly which made me frown.
“Why do you have a hoodie on? It’s like 30 degrees and it’s only mid morning.” I said and Jack looked at me and quickly looked round before he took his hood down and there I saw he had a black eye and a split lip.
“Who the fuck did this Jack?” I whispered as Jack put his hood back up again.
“It doesn’t matter okay, look I have no friends and you seem to be the only person who likes me so your my go to person at the moment.” Jack said and I smiled slightly.
“You want to skip the rest of classes?” I asked and Jack nodded.
I looked up and I could see Sansa from a mile a away since she was the only pretty ginger in this school and she noticed me and she headed towards me and Jack.
“Hey you two.” Sansa said happily but she was looking at Jack in a worried way and Jack flinched a little when Sansa came over.
“This was Dakota was it?” Sansa asked as she looked at me since she could see Jack’s black eye better than what I could.
“No it’s wasn’t whoever you said it was.” Jack said quietly as he looked at me and I smiled and saw Rudi and Dakota watching from a distance.
“Stay here a minute.” I said as I walked over to them.
“What’s wrong with him?” Rudi asked.
“Black eye and a split lip. That wasn’t you Now was it.” I growled as I looked at Dakota who frowned at me.
“I wouldn’t touch him. Christ if you do have that thing on him I don’t have a bloody death wish.” Dakota said and I nodded as I knew Dakota did respect me despite him and Rudi being the oldest and I was the youngest.
I just nodded as I turned round and went back over to Jack and Sansa looked at me and she nodded at me.
“Hey, let’s go to my favourite spot and we can talk about this.” I said and Jack looked at me and smiled as he nodded.
“Tell mama and papa I might be late back.” I said to Sansa and she nodded as me and Jack walked off and I went to my favourite spot which wasn’t the woods.
I took us up this bit of a mountain that over looked the little town below.
“It’s gorgeous here.” Jack said quietly as he took the view in.
“I know many beautiful places. Ones which aren’t meant to be shared.” I said and Jack looked at as he took his hood down.
“Why?” Jack asked quietly and I shrugged my shoulders.
“Humans have destroyed enough of the world, why show them somewhere beautiful when their just going to destroy it.” I said and Jack smiled.
“Wish I could get my dad to see that Instead of him being so obsessed with hunting.” Jack said as he sat down and looked back out to the view and I sat down as well, hoping Jack May open up about his dad.
“Did he give you the black eye?” I asked carefully after a moment of silence and Jack looked at me as he looked down.
“Yeah.” Jack whispered as a tear rolled down his cheek and I resisted the urge to wipe it but the urge got the better of me and I reached out and wiped the tear away which made Jack look at me.
“Why?” I asked quietly.
“He was drunk after being out hunting most of the night last night.” Jack said quietly as he carried on looking at me.
“Nobody should be laying a finger on you.” I said and Jack looked down.
“It doesn’t matter okay. It’s not as if anyone cares what would happen to me anyway.” Jack said quietly which made me frown at him.
“I would care.” I said and Jack looked at me.
“I’m just someone you’ve met.” Jack said and I shrugged my shoulders at him.
“Don’t see you having any other friends, so you’ll have to put up with me.” I said which made Jack smile.
“I’d like that.” Jack said quietly which made me smile.
“So you have siblings?” Jack asked and I nodded.
“Yep There’s Dakota and Rudi their twins and they’re 19, then there’s Sansa who is 18 and then there’s me. Baby of the family.” I said and Jack chuckled.
“You got siblings?” I asked and Jack shook his head.
“Nope, just me and my dad.” Jack said quietly as he looked away from me.
“Although I’m close to walking out now to be honest.” Jack whispered which made me frown because in my family everyone is close and we are all a tight unit but that was the wolf side of us, so this was strange to hear from Jack.
“Is it because he is hitting you all the time?” I asked and Jack shrugged his shoulders as he turned round and looked at me.
“My dad is obsessed with hunting and killing wolves. He wants me to go hunting with him all the time but I don’t agree to it. I mean I’m a bloody vegetarian for that reason. He knows my views on it but he keeps on pushing me. Just like what he did with mum until she walked out and I never saw her again.” Jack said and I smiled at him which he returned and he sighed loudly.
“What about you? I said a lot about me but you’ve hardly said anything about yourself.” Jack said quietly.
“Me and my family are close, we all get along and fight a lot but that’s because we’re all pretty much the same age.” I said and that was when I heard a howl and my head snapped up as I stood up and looked around to see where the howl was coming from.
“There is wolves here, I saw 2 last night before you came by and now their howling.” Jack said as he stood up and stood beside me.
I was trying to work out what this howl meant but whoever it was, was too far away for me to understand the howl.
“Are there wolves here Alex?” Jack asked quietly and I looked at him.
“You know the answer to that Jack.” I whispered and Jack frowned at me slightly.
“I want to hear it from you.” Jack said and I shook my head.
“I am not allowed to say. Now I will take you home but you are not to follow me or you are not allowed in the woods when it gets dark.” I said seriously and Jack nodded at me and he looked at the view one more.
“Promise me something though.” Jack said as he looked at me again.
“Please show me all the beautiful places you’ve found.” Jack said and I smiled as I walked over to him and he didn’t flinch away from me like he did with Sansa.
“I’ll see what I can do.” I said quietly which made Jack smile and we went back to Jack’s house.
When we got to Jack’s house his whole body language changed from being opened to being closed and hard to read his emotions.
“I promise I won’t say nothing to my dad about you know what.” Jack said quietly.
“I never said anything.” I said and Jack looked at me.
“I’m not stupid or blind Alex, the way you reacted to that howl earlier. I know and I won’t say nothing.” Jack said quietly.
“If you do tell about whatever the fuck You think I am, just don’t expect to see me in the future.” I growled as I walked off and I could feel Jack watching me walk off.
I got back to camp when I saw everyone was around one of the omegas and with mama who was the healer in our pack.
“What happened?” I asked quietly as I stood next to next Dakota.
“One of the omegas wondered off and then got attacked by something.” Dakota said quietly as he looked at me.
“Where was you?” Dakota asked and I looked at him.
“I was up the mountain with Jack because something had happened.” I said and I looked over and saw papa walking over.
“I need a word with you Alex.” Papa said quietly and I nodded as I followed him out to the lake and we stood there.
“Where was you today Alex?” Papa asked.
“I was with a friend up on the mountains.” I said and papa looked at me.
“Why was you up there and not at school?” Papa asked.
“Because he has had a hard time at home and he has no friends and I wanted to be a friend to him.” I said and papa nodded.
“Please don’t shoot me when I say this papa.” I said quietly and papa put a hand on my arm which made me look at him.
“Just say it.” Papa said.
“I think he’s a son of a hunter.” I said quietly and papa frowned at me.
“But he isn’t like his papa though, he believes in the same sort of things as I do. He doesn’t like the fact the humans are destroying beautiful places and he doesn’t believe in what his papa is doing. He is a kind and thoughtful human and if he did work us out then he wouldn’t say nothing.” I said and papa nodded.
“Papa please he is a good lad, he has had it rough he hasn’t got a family like us, his papa beats him when he is drunk.” I said and papa frowned at me.
“Alex do you get this strong urges inside you to protect whoever this lad is.” Papa said and I looked down and nodded because for me it was hard not to want to kill jack’s dad earlier.
“I know this has something to do with this strange wolf claim thing we have but that never happens until we’re like Rudi and Dakota age.” I said and papa smiled at me.
“You was always the one who was a bit more developed than the others, a bit more mature than the others. I mean Rudi and Dakota was just fucking around at your age. You push my buttons but never as bad as those two.” Papa said and I chuckled softly as I looked down.
“Look all I’m going to say is go careful alright. You know I can never stop you loving someone who you are claimed too. But because he is a human you need to go more careful because you are heading towards a human.” Papa said and I chuckled.
“He isn’t the first human I’ve tried to woo.” I said and Papa just rolled his eyes.
“We’ve got to get going.” Papa said and I nodded as I followed him back to camp.

I was sat by the lake but a different area of the lake which was away from the camp when I heard someone running over and I looked over my shoulder and saw Rudi.
“Why you here?” I asked and Rudi caught his breathe as quickly as he could.
“The humans are close to camp. Papa wants us all back at the camp.” Rudi said and I sighed as I looked at the lake and I went with Rudi back to the camp.
Sure enough when we got back I could literally smell the humans.
“Jesus they smell bad.” Sansa said as we all stood together.
“They’ve been sweating a lot, but their not going to find nothing.” I said as I walked over to the camp fire and sat on the log and looked into the fire.
I heard them before I saw them and I looked up and saw them entering the camp and I stood up and walked over to where papa was stood and the humans walked over to us and stood a distance from me and papa.
“Why are you on my land?” Papa asked as I stared at on of the hunters as he looked a lot like someone but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
“We heard there was wolves in the area.” One man said and papa looked at him.
“As in werewolves? Please they died a long time ago. The only wolves in these woods are the wild ones. So I will ask you nicely not to set foot back on my land. The animals on my land are not to be killed and if I find out you have been on my land I will have to do something about it.” Papa said seriously and I managed to find my eye contact with this person and I wasn’t going to back down.
“We are sorry to intrude.” The man said and he turned round and everyone followed him but this one man.
“Enough Alexander.” Papa growled quietly into my ear and I broke the eye contact and walked over to Sansa, Rudi and Dakota.
“What was that about?” Sansa asked.
“It’s nothing.” I said quietly as I walked off and went to my room.
I was sat in my room reading when Dakota came in and sat on my bed.
“If your Here to give me a life lesson I don’t want it.” I said as I looked at Dakota.
“Jack’s dad really bothers you doesn’t he?” Dakota asked.
“What human being thinks it’s possibly okay to hurt a member of their family. I mean tonight he’ll go out and get drunk and he’ll got home and hurt Jack. How is this remotely okay to anyone.” I said and Dakota chuckled.
“Humans are just different to us, they don’t understand the meaning of family. Yeah some of them do but most of them don’t. They enjoy hurting things Alex and they don’t appreciate anything.” Dakota said and I sighed slightly.
“But Jack isn’t like them though.” I said quietly.
“All I can say is Lex is get to know him first before jumping into anything with him. Yeah you might feel like this now but maybe he’s no different to anyone else.” Dakota said and I looked at him.
“I know he is different though Kota, he has kind eyes and nobody I have slept with have had eyes like Jack’s.” I said and Dakota sighed as he got comfy on my bed.
“All I can say is that I hope he’s worth it.” Dakota said as he looked at the book I was reading.
“I think he is.” I said and Dakota looked at me and smiled.
“Hey can you cover for me for about an hour?” I asked as I pulled a hoodie on which made Dakota frown at me.
“Why would I do that?” Dakota asked as he sat up and watched me.
“Because I’m your favourite brother and you love me.” I said as I walked over to my bed and sat next to Dakota.
“Your only the favourite because Rudi is my twin and he’s annoying sometimes.” Dakota said and I smiled at him.
“Fine I bloody cover for you. But you owe me.” Dakota said and I kissed his cheek and I went off to Jack’s.
I got to Jack’s and I saw someone sat outside on the porch so I walked over and saw Jack so I cleared my throat which made Jack look up.
“What you doing here?” Jack sniffed as he wiped his eyes with his sleeve as I walked over and sat next to him.
“Well I was bored so I went for a walk, found myself here.” I said as Jack sniffed and he looked at me.
“But you have the woods to explore though.” Jack said quietly.
“Felt like being a people’s person.” I said and Jack smiled as he looked down and messed with his hands.
“Was he bad again?” I asked quietly and Jack nodded.
“I don’t know how much more I can take this Alex.” Jack whispered as he sniffed.
“I would offer you to come round mine but my lot are bit funny with people who aren’t family.” I said and Jack looked at me and smiled.
“That’s fine, when I go back inside he’ll be passed out on the sofa hugged a bottle of beer.” Jack said sadly and I pulled him into my side and gave him a hug which made Jack sigh.
“Could you stay the night? I don’t want to be on my own with him.” Jack said quietly as he pulled away and looked at me.
“Yeah I’ll stay round. Just give me an hour and I’ll be back okay.” I said and got up and went back home and told someone where I was and then I went back to Jack’s.
