Alex’s POV
I woke up and I rolled over to see that Jack was still sound asleep facing me which made me smile slightly and I sat up and quietly got out of the bed and I made my way downstairs.
I walked to the kitchen and frowned as Jack had all this stuff and I have no idea on how to use it.
I walked over to the coffee machine and frowned at it as I had no clue on how to use the bloody thing.
“Now how the fuck does this work.” I said to myself and a arm reached over and pushed a button which made me jump and I spun around and saw Jack in just his trackies and he had some serious bed hair on the go.
“Push the button that how it works.” Jack said sleepily as he got a mug and put it under the coffee machine and I just stared at him.
“You was like fast asleep about 5 minutes ago.” I said and Jack chuckled.
“I felt you get up.” Jack said as he stood beside me and he looked at me as I was also topless.
“Well I’m sorry that I woke you up.” I said as I looked away from Jacks stare.
“Don’t be, you saved me hearing my alarm screaming at me.” Jack said and I smiled slightly as Jack passed me over a mug off coffee.
“Thanks.” I said as I watched Jack walk outside to where I guess he was having a cigarette but I noticed his phone was missing so he might of been taking a phone call.
I was nosing around the apartment since Jack had disappeared somewhere and I found some photos on the side and I looked at them and smiled at the pictures as I picked one up of Jack and a man who looked at lot like Jack.
“That was me and my bother, 2 weeks before he got killed.” Jack said which made me jump as I spun around.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t being nosey.” I said as I looked anywhere but in Jacks direction.
“It’s fine, look I have to go work because apparently I’ve employe fucking monkeys who can’t cope when I’m gone for a day. You going to be okay here?” Jack said and I nodded as I looked at Jack who was now in a suit.
“Yeah I’ll be okay here, I mean there’s food in the fridge and I’m allowed to use the tv aren’t I?” I said and Jack smiled.
“You have the full run of the house, oh and my cleaner Karen is coming in at some point today. Just make sure you have clothes on.” Jack said and I looked down at myself and looked back at Jack.
“Please tell me Karen has a sense of humour because right now that name isn’t doing it for me. Also it’s not as if I’m naked, I’m just half naked here.” I said and Jack rolled his eyes at me.
“Karen is very nice so don’t be mean. Just make sure you have a top on.” Jack said.
“I’m not mean thanks, also remember I’m not your property so I’ll wear what I like thanks.” I said as I walked past him and headed towards the sitting room.
I was busy making myself food in just my pants because wearing trousers are over rated when I heard the door open and shut and I turned round and saw this woman staring at me.
“Who are you, does Mister Barakat know your here?” The woman asked and I frowned at her slightly.
“I’m Alex and I’m Jacks male companion. You must be the cleaner.” I said and the woman returned my frown.
“Mister Barakat didn’t mention he had anyone staying round.” The woman said as she walked towards me.
“Spare of the moment thing. Anyway I’ll keep out of your hair and let you clean.” I said as I walked out of the kitchen with my bowl of food and I felt the woman look at me so I stopped and looked at her.
“Can I help you with something?” I asked sarcastically and the woman shook her head and she started her cleaning.
I was watching this program when Karen came in the room.
“Is it okay if I clean in here?” Karen asked and I looked at her.
“Course it is, you don’t have to ask me I’m just the guest here.” I said and Karen smiled at me as she walked in the room and started to clean.
“Hey, maybe you can help me a bit.” I said and Karen stopped and looked at me.
“What with Sir?” Karen asked and I frowned at her.
“Alex, call me Alex as this isn’t my house.” I said and Karen didn’t seem completely comfortable about calling me just Alex.
“Sam, what was he like?” I asked and Karen sighed loudly.
“Being honest with you that man was the worse, I was glad when Mister Barakat got rid of that waste of space.” Karen said and she looked down.
“Just don’t tell Mister Barakat that I said that, I need this job and I work 3 jobs, this is the better paid job and I have 2 young children at home.” Karen said and I smiled at her.
“Don’t worry it’s safe with me, I won’t tell Jack what you said about Sam.” I said and Karen smiled at me.
“Have you finished with the bowl? I can wash it up for you.” Karen said and I shook my head.
“You’ve got enough to do, you don’t have to clean my mess up. I’m a grown man I know how to clean up after myself.” I said and Karen smiled at me as she carried on what she was doing and I did the same.
Jack came home and he went to his office to do some more work.
I put some clothes on and I made Jack a drink and went into his office.
When I walked in Jack was speaking another language and he sound really pissed off so I put down his drink and quickly got out of the room and I went outside and sat there enjoying the somewhat peace it brought.
I was miles away when Jack came outside.
“It’s freezing out here, why don’t you come inside.” Jack said and I looked at him and then looked back down again.
“I’m used to the cold.” I said quietly as I messed with my hands.
“Are you mad at me?” I asked as I looked at Jack who looked at me confused.
“No, why would I be mad at you?” Jack asked as he sat down next to me.
“I can’t say, I don’t want to get anyone into trouble.” I said quietly and I felt Jack make me look at him.
“Did you speak to Karen about Sam? If so I’m not mad about that, Karen never liked him and if you want to know anything about that then you can talk to me about it.” Jack said and I looked anywhere but in Jacks eyes.
“Hey, look at me okay.” Jack said softly and I looked at me.
“Nobody is in trouble okay. I was just dealing with some business over seas and they just pissed me off a little that’s all.” Jack said and I smiled slightly.
“I’m going to sort us out some food, there anything I need to know about?” Jack said and I shook my head.
“Okay, I’ll just be inside if you want me. Just don’t stay out here for too long.” Jack said as he got up and walked inside.
I sighed loudly and stayed out until I was bored and went inside.
When I walked inside and over to the kitchen Jack was shirtless and in his work jeans.
“Something smells good.” I said which made Jack jump and turn round and look at me with a smile on his face.
“I’m hope you’ll like it.” Jack said and I smiled as I looked at the time.
“Don’t worry, you’ll have time to eat before going to work.” Jack said and I looked down feeling ashamed on what I have to say next.
“I won’t be coming back tonight.” I said quietly and I felt Jack look at me.
“Why?” Jack asked as he dished the food up.
“Because I need money Jack.” I said as I looked at Jack who was frowning at me.
“So you’re going to the streets? Alex I have told you that you don’t need to go on the streets for money. Whatever you need I’ll give it to you.” Jack said.
“So I’ll be in your debt, I’ve been down that road Jack and I’m fucked if I’m doing it again. I might only be young but I have been through some fucking shit in my short shit show of a life and I am never going back down that road of having people feeling sorry for me and giving me money.” I said and Jack sighed.
“You won’t be in my debt Alex.” Jack said and I shook my head as I felt tears rolled down my face.
“He said that and he fucking ruined me and I’m not doing it again.” I said and I walked off and went upstairs and got changed and went back downstairs again.
Jack was stood by the stairs and looked at me.
“I don’t know who he is nor do I care who he is, but I do care about you and if you need money then I will give you money. I know somewhere deep down you want help but because of your experience you won’t trust me to help you. I know what it’s like to have someone use me for money and I can see that you aren’t like those people.” Jack said and I looked at him.
“I’m just a street kid, I’m nothing special if anything your kind see as nothing as shit on your shoe. How can I possibly believe for a second you’re not like them.” I said.
“Yeah your past is you being a street kid but you don’t have to be that person anymore. Yes people with money will look at you like shit on their shoe, but I never did nor will ever look at you like shit on my shoe. You are a living person and you are my equal no matter what your background is.” Jack said and I shook my head.
“You don’t understand.” I whispered as I went to walk off and Jack caught hold of my hand which made me stop walking.
“I don’t understand what happened to you, but I promise you I will try and understand you and that I will never treat you like those people treated you. I mean it when I call you my equal because you are a equal to me.” Jack said and I smiled slightly at him.
“I have to go to work.” I said quietly and Jack frowned at me.
“I’ve got to go to the club, I’ve got to cover a shift for someone.” I said and Jack nodded at me.
“Will you be coming back here?” Jack asked and I looked down and thought about it and I looked back up at Jack and smiled.
“Yeah, I’ll come back here.” I said quietly which made Jack smile and he let me go and I went to work.

The club was closed but me and Alec had to stay behind to clean and do inventory so we was on our own.
“Why do you look so unhappy? Would of thought having that posh dick would cheer you up a little.” Alec said as he stood next to me as we both dried some glasses.
“Just got a lot on at the moment and getting into Jack’s pants is the least of my worries right now.” I said and I felt Alec looked at me.
“What’s up?” Alec asked unsure if I was going to share or not.
“I like him okay but I’m scared that my past is going to come and bite me on my ass and fuck everything up.” I said and Alec smiled at me.
“What you need to do is stop selling yourself on the streets and trust Jack when he says whatever he says. It’s clear he likes you Alex, you just got to knock down a few of the walls you’ve built around yourself and go for it.” Alec said and I put this glass away and looked at him.
“That’s easy for you to say.” I said quietly as I walked from behind the bar and went to put the chairs on the table.
“Don’t forget to lock up Lex, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Alec said and I looked up and smiled at Alec.
“I won’t, see you tomorrow Alec.” I said and Alec smiled as he walked off and once I heard the door shut I sighed loudly and started to sing to myself since the club was too quiet and singing helped me cleared my mind.
I was miles away when I finished singing and someone clapped which made me jump and spin around when I saw Jack standing by the bar.
“We’re closed.” I said as I walked over to the bar and went to put the cleaning products away.
“Never told me you could sing.” Jack said and I turned round and looked at him.
“I didn’t feel like that it was information to share.” I said as I cleaned the bar.
“Why not? You’ve got a voice and it’s wasted in this place.” Jack said and I looked at him as I rolled my eyes.
“Because it’s my coping mechanism, I sing when I’m stressed, I sing when I’m feeling down. Ness said I could be on that stage if I keep myself on the straight and narrow.” I said and Jack nodded as I went back to cleaning the bar.
“Do I get a drink?” Jack asked and I looked at him.
“What part of we’re closed don’t you understand and I’ve already taken the money out so Nope, you don’t get a drink.” I said as I turned round make sure Jack could see my ass.
“So I am now done for the night, is it time to go home now?” I said as I turned round and looked at Jack who smiled at me.
“Yeah we can go home, but first I’m going to go and get you something to eat.” Jack said and I frowned at him.
“What’s going to be open at 2 in the morning? Hardly any where to be honest.” I said and Jack chuckled.
“Well I wasn’t meaning going out to eat, I was thinking about super noodles on the sofa and watch films.” Jack said and I couldn’t help but smile.
“But you have work in the morning.” I said as I got my stuff and walked round the bar where Jack put his arm over my shoulder as we walked out the bar.
“I said I won’t be in this week but I’m working from home because I got you moving in.” Jack said and I looked at him.
“But I haven’t made my mind up if I was going to move in though.” I said and Jack smiled at me as I locked up.
“I mean the spare room is a mess of all your stuff in it.” Jack said as I turned round and looked at him.
“Just because it’s a mess doesn’t mean I agree on moving in.” I said and Jack chuckled as he turned round and walked towards his car.
“It clearly means your moving in.” Jack said and I frowned at the back of his head.
“And if you haven’t forgotten I’m also a very messy person.” I said as I walked after Jack and met him by his car.
“You have a whole wardrobe and yet all your clothes are on the floor.” Jack said and I just rolled my eyes as I got in the car.
“Didn’t say I was the tidiest of people.” I said and Jack chuckled and we went home.
I was sat on the sofa slowly losing the battle to keep my eyes open but at the same time I just wanted some food.
“Hey, here’s some food.” Jack said softly as he touched my knee which made me look at him as I reached out for the bowl and set it down between my knees and my chest and smiled as it was my favourite super noodles.
“You don’t have to eat it all, just have something to go to bed on.” Jack said softly and I nodded and started to eat the food.
Jack sat down next to me and I looked at him.
“You’re not eating?” I said quietly and Jack smiled at me.
“I’m still full from dinner.” Jack said and I nodded and carried on eating zoning out to whatever crap we was watching on the tv.
I must of fell asleep as I felt myself being picked up so I opened my eyes and found myself in Jack’s arms.
“I’m just putting you to bed.” Jack said softly as he walked into a room and I felt myself being placed into a bed which I worked out was Jack’s bed.
I got myself comfy and I opened one eye and watched Jack get undressed and smiled slightly to myself as I slowly fell asleep until I felt Jack trying to quietly get into bed which didn’t work in his favor.
“You could be a bit more graceful when getting into bed.” I mumbled sleepily which made Jack chuckle as he moved closer to me.
