I sighed as I realised Alex had left the room while I was napping. I fidgeted with my thumbs trying to fill the empty space of time I seemed to have free these days. The creaking of the handle broke silence that seemed to swallow the dull room. I smiled as I saw Alex walk through the door. He sat in the pulled out chair beside my bed. I pulled on his cheeks exclaiming, "You shaved!" He chuckled shaking his head.
"Yes that's what men do." He winked at me and I felt my whole body tense, if you know what I mean.
"Hey!" I shouted. He chuckled again, that chuckle I've found myself falling in love with. Through this whole week of me being conscious again me and Alex have grown closer and closer. We have all of the same interests, turns out he loves music as much as I do and likes all the bands I do to. Lets just say he's really grown on me. "To make up for that you have to sing me something!" I said grinning.
"Why do you like my voice so much?" He asked, his eyebrows knitted in confusion.
"Because you're fab, now sing!" He grinned picking up my battered guitar from the corner of the room, the only object projecting any colour in this dull room.
He played random chords until I realised he was playing I Miss You. He sang it an octave higher and I grinned at the way his closed eyes scrunched up as he sang the song perfectly. The way his dimples appeared when his mouth stretched upwards was possibly the most adorable thing I have ever seen. Once he was done my mouth had dropped into and O shape.
"What?" He asked grinning.
"You're perfect." I mumbled quietly, hoping he hadn't heard it. By the look of his burning cheeks I'm guessing he had. Well fuck.
