Alex's POV:

I sat up from the couch, my neck hurting from the awkward position I was stuck sleeping in. Also my ass fucking hurt, just to make this day that little bit less bearable. I padded into the kitchen in only boxers. Jack was up and sitting at the table prodding at his bowl of coco pops with his spoon. I cleared my throat and his head shot up. To say he looked rough would be an understatement. Black circles drooped at his eyelids, his skin was sickly pale and his eyes were pink and puffy from crying. His hair was flat and hung across his forehead, his eyelashes brushing the tips as he blinked. I grimaced making my way towards the coffee maker. I turned it on the loud noise slicing through the swallowing silence. I rubbed my eyes which only made me feel more sleepy. Once I had finished making my coffee I sat down at the table. Jack's eyes were locked on me, but I wouldn't look up. I couldn't. I sipped at my coffee setting off pins and needles in my tongue from the heat. I ignore it though as it was the only thing I could do to keep myself busy. "Alex?" Jack said, his voice cracking slightly. I hummed in response, looking up from my mug. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

I widened my eyes and put my mug down on the table, "Jack, do you realize how stupid that sounds? I'm the dick here, I'm the one who should be sorry I'm the one who-"

"No, I went over the top. I didn't even give you a chance to explain. So I guess, here's your chance." Jack interrupted then shrugged.

I fiddled with my thumbs, biting my lip. "He, I, er..." Jack sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Zack is a new nurse in our ward. My boss told me I had to take him round and show him where everything is. We were at the last bit of my 'tour', in the storing cupboard, and he locked the door. This was the first out of two days, the second being yesterday. He barely did anything though, but I planned on telling him I had a boyfriend and that I couldn't do this and I did tell him that. But he once again locked the doors and told me my only options were lube or without lube. He raped me Jack. He fucking raped me." I was now crying, my face buried in my hands. "But I still let him do it and I understand if you want to leave. I'm a horrible person. I'm sorry." I heard Jack get up, as I removed my hands from my face he took one in his, shuffling closer to me in his chair.

He fished his phone of his pocket, "What's his name?" He said, phone pressed against his ear.

"Zachary Merrick." I said, the name sending shivers down my spine.

Zack's POV:

(night before)

I stopped at the cliff, walking out of my car. If Alex hasn't called the cops yet Jack will have, I think. I chuckled to myself at the fact Alex didn't recognize me at all, although I have worked out a fair bit since I knew him and changed my name. That puny little british kid he turned down, even though Alex had came out as gay. I guess I got him back. I got what I had wanted for all those years.

Now it's my time to go. I stepped out to the ledge, smiling, taking in my last breath. Then I jumped, feeling a rush of adrenaline fill my body. Then I hit the rock hard floor, a rock slicing through my stomach. My vision began to fade, and the physical and emotional pain began to finally end.

Alex's POV:

Jack had a confused look on his face, listening intently to the person on the other end of the phone. "Oh right, thanks I guess." Jack said ending the call.

"Well?" I said ushering Jack on.

"Zack's, er, Zack committed suicide last night." Jack said.

I froze, "Oh."
