Dreaming of You
Just Friends? Or Something More?
I sat outside the door as I heard the two of them mumbling. Rian and Zack were chatting with some groupies. I wanted to know what Jack was asking or talking about. I trusted both of them, I'm just kind of nosey.
After a while Jack opened the door and let me in. I walked straight to Serenity and sat next to her. Waiting for someone to say something, anything to me.
"She's legit man" Jack said, I smiled and draped my arm around her.
"Yeah, I know" I said, she blushed.
"Look guys, this whole thing is so bazar and I don't want either of you to get hurt so just...tread lightly" Jack said. He was a great guy.
"We will" I said, Jack smiled and left the dressing room. Leaving me and Serenity alone for the first time since I realized that she was real.
"He's nice" She spoke softly.
"He's my best friend" I said, still staring at the door.
"Yep" She said, I could tell she felt awkward.
"What's the plan from here?" I asked, removing my arm and facing her. She looked so surprised.
"What do you mean?" She asked, I could tell she was so scared. I laughed a little bit.
"I mean what is going to happen? are we going to continue talking? Are we going to be friends? Something more? are we going to never talk again? I just, just want to know what exactly to expect" I said. I hoped she was going to say something along the lines of dating, but I knew her better than that. She was going to blush awkwardly and say she didn't know.
"Alex, Let’s try dating and see where is goes" She said confidently. I was completely surprised.
"What?" I said. One of the reasons I did like her is because she could always find a way to surprise me.
"I never had a boyfriend and, I mean, we have talked so why not try...I mean if you want too" She said, She started off strong but went all insecure towards the end.
"of course I want too" I said, I hugged her and she hugged me back. I haven't felt this way for a girl in a long time.
It did not matter how I met her, it only mattered that I did. Serenity and I were going to take a shot at this. I had two months off to make this work.
