He laughed and kissed my temple. When Scarlett began getting fussy, I knew she was done, but even after putting my breast away, she was still unhappy. “Anytime.” he said kneeling in front of me and kissed me.

Nine hours later, I was getting ready to take Scarlett to her maternal grandparents house and was almost done as I made a list for them on how to take care of her while we’re away for the night.

“Is she ready?” Alex asked walking into her nursery.

“Almost. Just making them a list.”

He walked over to her crib and saw that she was sleeping.

“I’m gonna miss her too. You have no idea how hard it is being away from her.”

You could hear the sadness in his voice. I sat my tablet and pen down then walked over and wrapped my arms around his stomach, pressing a kiss to his back. He touched my hands and sighed.

“I love you, Scarlett.” he said.

“I love you, too.” I said to her.

After a moment, we separated and he turned around.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah.”

“Good because we have a big night ahead of us.”

That’s when his sexy smirk showed up.

“Damn. I love that smirk of yours.”

“And I love yours.”

A moment later, I placed her in my baby wrap and grabbed her baby bag before walking down the steps.

“I’ll be back soon.” I said placing her in her car seat.

After another goodbye and ‘I love you’, she was buckled in and I got into the driver’s seat.

“Be careful. Love you.”

Ten minutes later, I arrived at my mom and Tyler’s house.

“Hi honey.” she said hugging me.

“Hi Mom.”

“How’s my granddaughter?”

“Great, but she wasn’t exactly happy about leaving her daddy. Can’t blame her. I get the feeling.”

“She’ll be fine. She has the coolest grandparents to watch after her. Won’t she?” my mom said in a baby voice.

“I know. Here’s a list of instructions...” I said, handing them to her.

“Love you, Mom. Thank you. Oh, and if you need anything, please let us know.”

“Ok. Love you, too, Abigail.”

I nodded and finally turned around after giving my mom one last item, her baby bag. The drive was long, but I finally made it home and walked upstairs with my heart a bit heavy. When I ventured into our bedroom, I heard his footsteps coming out of the bathroom. The second I saw him in with a towel around his waist with his messy blond hair still sopping wet, I licked my lips; he looked delicious. I hoped he didn't notice me ogling at him like that.

“Hey Abby.” he said, catching sight of me.

“Hey. Nice shower?"

"Yeah, but it was missing you."

"Sorry I had to miss it." I said, walking toward him and placing a hand on his chest.

He pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me; I couldn't help but wind my arms around his neck and kiss him.

"You have no idea how good you fucking taste." he said huskily.

He smirked and proceeded to attach his lips to my neck nearly causing me to forget our argument. I ran my hands through his hair, then he quickly pulled my legs further down and he got on his knees once he pried them apart.

“Any complaints?” he asked.

“Absolutely not.”

“You won’t mind then if I do this.”

He was close to my entrance and moving forward.

“I won’t mind at all.” I smirked.

"Perfect."

He went straight in quite forcefully and kept moving at a fast and rough pace just how I like. I figured my pussy could handle this level of activity again.

I could hardly get any words out. When I came, I didn't want to move; all I wanted to do was lie around with Alex despite the wonderful dinner we had planned.

He laughed from above me.

“I know we have dinner reservations, but I don’t wanna get up.”

He laughed again and pulled me up with both hands and to my knees, so we were both at eye level.

“Ok. I have to shower then.”

“So do I... again.”

“You are too irresistible. As soon as you stepped into the bedroom with your wet hair and you in a towel, I simply couldn’t handle myself.”

“Someone’s a little full of himself. Isn’t he?”

He shrugged with a smirk.

“I’m gonna go shower now if you wouldn’t mind.”

“How about I shower again with you?”

“Just showering?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes.”

“Good. Because I don’t want us to miss our reservation.”

“Neither do I. I’m looking forward to seeing you in a dress and heels.”

“It’ll be a new one. I’m not at my prebaby weight yet. I’m halfway there.”

“A new dress. I love the sound of that.”

I kissed him again before taking his hand and getting off the bed. After a quick and sexless shower, he grabbed his clothes and ventured off to the guest bedroom to change while I searched for
my new and quite flattering dress that was in the back of the closet. I smiled once I found it. I laid it on the bed before I did my hair and makeup.

“Abby?” Alex said knocking on the door.

“Yeah?” I asked checking myself out in the mirror.

“Are you about ready? Reservation is in less than a half hour.”

“Just five minutes. Meet you downstairs.”

I adjusted myself and checked my hair and makeup before grabbing my purse and headed out of the bedroom. I was over the moon excited about showing Alex my whole ensemble. It’s hard to lose weight enough as it is, but after becoming a mother, the task is even harder. The fact that I’ve lost half of the weight I’ve gained aka fifteen pounds is somewhat of a miracle.

“Alex?” I called out when I reached the bottom of the stairs.

“Ab-“

I turned my head slightly and saw his jaw slack which was what I was hoping for.

“Hey.”

He was still speechless as he walked the short distance between us and kissed me.

“You are breathtaking.”

I blushed and now I was speechless.

“You like?”

“I love. I don't know how I'm supposed to keep my hands off you until after dinner."

"You're just gonna have to. I'm sorry."

"No. You're not."

"You're right. I'm not. I love you, though."

We headed out the door with Alex’s arm around my waist and a hand securely on my hip... very securely. When we were in his car, he had a hand on my thigh, traveling upward.

“Alex, control yourself please...” I said giving him a look.

“Or what?”

“I think you know the answer to that question.”

“Ok.” he said, slipping his hand to the steering wheel.

I had to hold in my laughter. Walking into the restaurant, I felt several eyes on me with too many on my chest and nearly as many on my ass. I squeezed his hand as my heart began to race.

“It’ll be okay.” he whispered into my hair.

Why I was having this sudden insecurity? I’ve never had it before. And how did he know I was feeling like this? I stayed silent until we were seated.

“What’s going on?” he asked.

“Didn’t you notice all those eyes? I’ve never seen anyone look at me like that and I just felt uneasy.”

“Of course I did and it’s absolutely disgusting. It makes me sick.”

“I don’t need this insecurity. I’ve never had look at me in the way all those men have... besides you.”

Before Alex could respond, our waitress came for our drink orders. When she left, he smirked and placed a hand on my knee.

“You’re the only one who can look at me like that.”
