Home
Alex is coming home today and I could not be more excited. I made sure Scarlett looked extra adorable before heading to the airport although I don't know how that's even possible.
"You ready to go see Daddy?"
She was all smiles as I buckled her into her carseat. The drive to the airport was longer than what I would've liked, but all that matters is that I got there with just ten minutes before his plane was set to arrive. Miranda somehow got here before me and we waited together for our men. The second I saw him, I had to control the urge to dash over and kiss him. Instead, I stood up and walked only a few steps as he took the remaining steps and made his way over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I stood on my toes so we could kiss; the electricity shot through us as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I missed you." he said separating our lips.
"I missed you, too."
I would've kissed him again, but I heard our daughter cry.
"Someone else missed you."
He moved away from me and kneeled down to see Scarlett. She smiled again when he smiled at her.
"Daddy missed you, too."
He went ahead and tickled her causing her to go into a giggling fit. I smiled and sat down, taking in the beautiful sight. I got my phone out and took a picture of the two loves of my life. Afterward, Alex turned his attention back to me.
“Hey.” he said.
“Hey. Ready to go?”
“If you are.”
Once we said our goodbyes to Miranda, Jack and Luca, we grabbed his suitcase and left. When we got home, I was hungry and ready to make something to eat.
“What are you in the mood for?” I asked, reaching the kitchen.
Alex was behind me with Scarlett.
“You, but that’s not exactly an option right now.” he smirked.
“Just give it a few days.” I smirked before placing another kiss on his lips.
She was becoming fussy, so I knew it was time to feed her.
“Let me make something and you can feed Scarlett.”
“You sure?”
“Absolutely.”
It was shortly after twelve in the afternoon.
“Thank you. I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
Instead of breastfeeding her, I headed to the fridge where I already had premade bottles of breast milk; I just had to heat one in the microwave. While I was waiting for one, I felt his arms around my stomach and I couldn’t help but melt into him.
“Alex. I need to feed her.” I said, placing my hands on top of his.
“Then, why are you getting comfortable?” he said with his lips on top of my head.
“Shut up, smartass.”
Then, I heard the microwave beep.
“I need to get that.”
He sighed.
“Ok.” he said defeatedly.
I laughed as he let me go.
“What are you making?” I said, feeding Scarlett.
“Shrimp tacos.”
My mouth was watering.
“You know your way to a woman’s heart. Don’t you?”
He laughed.
“You up for a nap later?” he asked.
“Whenever she is. There’s some body heat I’ve been desperately missing.”
I wanted him so badly at that moment.
“What a coincidence. I’ve been missing some body heat also.”
I bit my lip and finished feeding Scarlett while Alex continued lunch. Five minutes later, she was crying and I took that as my cue to burp her; she giggled after I wiped her face.
“Lunch ready?”
“As a matter of fact, it is.”
“Yay!” I said, placing her in her swing.
“Sit down. I’ll bring them in.”
I sat down in the living room and turned on the television. I shut my eyes for a moment and was startled when I felt his hand on my shoulder.
“You okay?”
“Yeah. I’m just a little sleepy is all. Lunch smells delicious.”
I let out a sound of pleasure after my first bite causing him to laugh.
“I missed your cooking.” I said before taking another.
“I enjoy cooking for you.”
"You're too much."
"I try."
I moved closer and placed a head on his shoulder when I finished eating. I glanced over at Scarlett who was on the verge of sleep.
“I’m gonna go put her in her crib. I’ll meet you upstairs?”
“Of course.” he said, wiping his mouth.
He was about done eating. I gently picked her up, walked up the stairs and into her nursery where I placed her in her crib. When I walked into the master bedroom, Alex still wasn’t there. In the meantime, I crawled into bed and went on Instagram and posted that photo I took at the airport. After I posted it, he walked into the bedroom.
“Hey.” he said, lying next to me.
“Hey.”
"What's with the big smile?"
"Open up Instagram."
I shimmied a bit, so I was lying partially on his chest and looked at him as he opened it up on his phone. His arm that wrapped around my body pulled me in and I melted into him when he saw my post.
The two loves of my life are back together again! #loveyou #missedyou #family
“You are amazing. I love you.” he said.
“I love you, too.”
He commented and loved the post quickly. I looked up at him and saw the beautiful smile on his handsome face.
"You are seriously the most amazing person I’ve ever met.”
I didn’t know what to say, so I took his phone and sat it on the nightstand and pressed my lips onto his.
“Fuck. I need you so badly.” he said after a few seconds.
“So do I.”
It took everything in me not to crawl into his lap and run my hands through his hair while grinding my hips into his own; it would not do either one of us any good. Apparently, Alex had the same look in his eyes.
“Remember, we gotta wait just a few more days.” I said.
“A few more days.”
Aw, cute update. <3 Sorry it took me a minute to comment.
Excited to see more. :)
