The love of my life is coming home from tour today and there’s no telling how I’m gonna feel when he gets home. Since I’m clearly not up for heading to the airport, I’m gonna wait for him at home. I nodded and walked back into the living room. I had just sat down when he came back. I snuggled up to him once he took a seat on the couch and he wrapped an arm around me, laying a hand on my belly.

“I agree. I missed it so much, more than I ever have.”

A couple tears ran down and apparently landed onto my shirt which Alex noticed; I just tried to bury my face into his shirt as more tears fell. He started to move which caused me to do the same. He took my head in his hands and wiped my tears.

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.” I said smiling.

All of a sudden, I wanted him and I wanted him bad. I kissed him, placing my hands on his shoulders and he pulled me onto his lap.

“Wanna take this upstairs?” I said in a breathy voice.

He didn’t even respond as he got up and I locked my legs around his waist then made our way up the steps and into our bedroom. I removed my shirt and bra, but that's all I could do, unfortunately. He let me go and I struggled to get out of bed, but I managed and walked toward the bathroom. I came back after a moment to see him putting on clothes.

“Definitely. Could you hand me my clothes please?” I asked, sitting down.

He nodded and picked up my clothes and handed them to me. I slowly put them on and sighed, pushing on the bed to get myself up.

“Let me help.” he asked walking toward me.

I nodded and took his hand.

“Thank you.”

“My pleasure.”

“Can I make you something?” I asked, walking out of the bedroom.

“I’m making us something. You go relax.”

“Alex.”

“Abby. If you love me, you’ll let me cook.”

I gave him a look before caving in.

“Ok. You can cook.”

He smiled and kissed me. I started down the steps with him right in front of me, in case I tripped or began to fall. I made it to the bottom a bit winded.

“What can I get you to drink?”

“Water.”

“What do you want to eat?”

“Surprise me.”

While he went into the kitchen, I walked into the living room and lied on the couch with me propped up on some pillows. He came back a minute later with my drink.

“Could you do something for me?” I asked.

“Anything.”

“Grab my headphones for me please.”

“Of course.” he said leaning down to kiss me.

I was looking through my music to find the perfect thing for her to listen to.

“Find something?” he said handing my headphones.

I shook my head and turned them on.

“Can I pick something?”

“Sure.”

It only took him a few seconds till he decided.

I pressed play and placed them on my belly. The first song that played was Boom; it was one of my favorite songs ever and Alex was also in the video for it when he had that blue hair I loved so much. He smiled at me when he saw the smile on my face.

I hoped I looked okay.

“Perfect.”

He put his phone away and walked over to me with him already on Instagram. He was so excited as he wrote the caption for it before posting it.

“Go onto your account.” he said kneeling beside me.

I laughed and got onto mine.

I got my phone and took a quick one.

"You are seriously cute as fuck." he said looking at the pic.

It was my turn to blush. He took my face into his hands and kissed me.

“Tell me you weren’t already cooking when you came in here.” I asked after a moment.

“No. I was only getting out ingredients.”

“That’s a relief. I didn’t want me to be the reason something burnt.”

“If you were, that’s why we can always order something.”

Fuck. He’s so wonderful.

“You’re right.”

“I’ll be back in a bit. Love you.”

I went back to my Instagram and added a caption to my photo.

I tagged him then posted it. I put my phone down and turned my focus to whatever was playing on the television. My favorite movie aka Singin’ in the Rain was on and I nearly squealed. Alex came back in twenty minutes later to see me engrossed in the movie.

“Abby?”

“Yeah?” I said with a goofy smile on my face.

“What’s up?”

“My favorite movie’s on.”

“So, it is. Ready to eat?” he said looking at the screen.

“Yep. Just give me a second.”

I took off my headphones and swung my feet then pushed myself up and off the couch. I grasped his hand and held it tightly as we walked to the dining room.

“I am so sick of this.” I said once I sat back down.

“Sick of what?”

“Difficulty getting up and sore joints.”

“It’ll be over soon.”

“Yeah. Five weeks.”

He made a face and squeezed my hand before kissing my cheek and heading to the kitchen. He came back with two plates of chicken and Thai noodles.

“You went simple. Love it. Thank you.”

“My pleasure.”

I dug in and smiled.

“This is delicious.” I said with my mouth full.

He laughed.

“I appreciate that. I missed some home cooking.”

“I can make a roast this weekend if you’d like.”

“I love you, but isn’t that gonna be a bit hard?”

I groaned.

“If I make it, you could take it in and out of the oven for me. That way I’m technically making it.”

I hated not being able to use the oven anymore.

“Ok. Sounds good.”

Another minute passed before either one of us spoke again.

“I saw your post.” he said.

I blushed.

“I loved it.”

“I hoped so. It’s the truth.”

After we ate, we went back into the living room and started my movie from the beginning with me singing along much to the delight of Alex. It was one of several great moments of the day.
