Alex’s POV
I woke up and I went to cuddle into Jack’s back but he wasn’t there which made me pout to myself as I rolled out of bed and pulled some of Jack’s pj bottoms on and I just walked out the room and went downstairs.
I got downstairs nobody was around other than Luna.
“Where is everyone?” I asked which made Luna jump and she turned round and looked at me.
“In lessons.” Luna said as she turned back round and offered me a drink which I took and I sat round the table.
“Why didn’t Jack wake me up?” I asked and Luna sat round the table opposite me.
“Because he thought you had been through enough because of yesterday and thought you would like to have the day off.” Luna said and I smiled as I looked down at my coffee.
“Would of been better if he was here.” I said and Luna chuckled.
“Well you’re in luck as Jack is only on half day today and he should be finished in about an hour.” Luna said which made me smile.
“What happened yesterday with William and Tate?” I asked and Luna sighed.
“I fucking told William not to take any of the blue eyes with him but he didn’t listen and the Moroi said something to Tate which made him snap and take some of his leg of and William had completely shifted and was just about ready to kill the Moroi before I got between the pair of them.” Luna said and I looked down.
“Hey this wasn’t your fault if what happened to you happen to me for example then this is what would happen. We all think of you as if you are part of the pack and we’ll look after you as if you was a wolf.” Luna said and I looked at her and smiled.
“Also you are a mate of an alpha, people no matter what they are should respect that and the fact you are royalty then they definitely should be respecting you.” Luna said and I nodded as I stood up and I went back to mine and Jack room and went back to sleep.
“You sure he’s okay?” I heard Jack say as he sat on the bed.
“Yeah he was fine when he came down. Think he was just wanted cuddles when he woke up this morning.” Luna said and I rolled over and pulled the covers over my head so Jack could maybe get the hint I was awake.
“Well he can have cuddles now if he really wants it.” Jack said and I think Luna got the hint as I heard the door shut and Jack got of the bed and then he jumped on me.
“Ow Jack that hurt.” I laughed as Jack pulled the covers from my face.
“Would say that I’m sorry but I’m not really.” Jack said and i smiled at him as he lent down and kissed me which I returned and I rolled Jack off me and I cuddled into his back and I kissed between his shoulder blades.
“Can finally have my cuddles.” I said quietly and Jack chuckled.
“But this feels wrong.” Jack said as he rolled over and I did the same as Jack cuddled into my back.
“That’s better.” Jack said and I chuckled.
“Why didn’t you wake me up this morning?” I asked as Jack messed with the bracelet which made me smile slightly.
“Because you had a shit day yesterday and you did a lot of crying yesterday and you also looked really peaceful when I woke up so I just left you.” Jack said as he kissed my cheek.
“So, it doesn’t mean I have to miss school.” I said and Jack chuckled.
“You nerd.” Jack said and I rolled so I was facing Jack and pushed him onto his back and sat on him.
“I’m not a nerd, I happened to missed a year off school.” I said and Jack’s put his hands on my hips.
“And who’s choice was that?” Jack asked.
“I was testing the security.” I said and Jack chuckled and his eyes landed on my stomach where I had a big bruise and my scar from the accident.
“Don’t look at it.” I said quietly as I got off Jack and I pulled on a jumper.
“I wasn’t looking at your scar.” Jack said as he sat up.
I looked at Jack.
“Babe I promise I wasn’t looking at your scar or any off them.” Jack said and I looked down at my arms and put my hand over the scars I had there.
I felt Jack’s hands round my hips and he gently pulled me towards him so I was standing between his legs.
“You’re still beautiful to me.” Jack said quietly and I looked at him.
Jack caught hold of the bottom of the jumper and looked at me and I nodded as Jack took the jumper and he was now at eye level of the scar on my stomach.
Jack lent forward and gently kissed the scar which made me tense and Jack looked at me.
“Relax.” Jack whispered as he stood up and pulled me close to him.
“If only you knew the horrible memories that one scar holds.” I said quietly.
“I don’t know but I can only imagine the memories.” Jack said quietly and rested his hand against my face which made me smile as I lent into the touch.
Jack was going to do something but something stopped us and our heads turned towards the door where Zach was standing.
“We need to go now.” Zach said quickly which made me frown as I look at Jack.
“Come on.” Jack said seriously as I quickly pulled a jumper on and I caught hold of Jack’s hand.
“You need to go back to your old dorm.” Jack said seriously as we headed towards the dorms.
“What’s going on Jack?” I asked and we stopped since we got to the dorms.
“It’s not for you to worry about. I need you to stay here, please can you stay here for me.” Jack said and I nodded which made Jack smile and he kissed me which I returned.
“Be careful with whatever you’re doing.” I whispered against his lips and kissed him again.
“I will.” Jack said quietly and I watched him walk off shifting as he does and he stopped and looked back at me and I smiled at him as I walked into the dorms and went straight to my old dorm.
“What’s going on?” Brooke asked as soon as I walked in the door.
“I don’t know, they kept me blocked from their thoughts so I don’t know what’s wrong.” I said as I headed to Brooke’s room with Brooke following.
“What happened the other day?” Brooke asked as I started to pace up and down her room and she sat on her bed.
“I don’t want to talk about it now.” I said quietly.
“Alex please, I thought someone had killed you. Especially since you gave me Jack’s bracelet back which is something a wolf mate would never do.” Brooke said and I looked at my wrist and smiled at the bracelet.
“That Tony asshole in our year.” I said and Brooke frowned a little.
“The creepy looking one, you know the one who tried to hit on you when we first started here.” I said and that’s when Brooke remembered.
“Oh shit, what did he do?” Brooke asked.
“He beat me up and then he raped me Brooke.” I said quietly and looked down feeling dirty all over again.
“My god Alex I’m sorry. Do you want me to set the bastard on fire?” Brooke asked and I chuckled as I looked at her and walked over and sat on the bed.
“Think the wolves beat you too it.” I said and Brooke smiled.
“You’re also the gossip at the moment.” Brooke said and I rolled my eyes.
“When am I not the gossip?” I asked and Brooke chuckled.
“That’s true but you did go all batshit on Tony the other day right?” Brooke said and I sighed and looked down.
“I used the spirit, but I also used it on Jack and William.” I said and I looked at Brooke.
“But you didn’t hurt them though did you?” Brooke asked and I shook my head.
“Then you don’t have worry about it.” Broke said and I smiled slightly.
“But the wolves did get their own back. But I don’t think Tony will be right again after it.” I said as I looked down.
“What happened?” Brooke asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
“I don’t know, all I know is one of the blue eyes took the huge chunk out of Tony and then the Alpha of the whole pack almost killed Tony, if it wasn’t for the Alpha mate then Tony would of been killed.” I said and Brooke looked at me in horror.
“Honestly their lovely but that’s probably because I’m now part of the pack and I think Jack would have something to say if they didn’t like me.” I said and Brooke smiled which I returned.
“I’m glad you’re happy Alex.” Brooke said as she got under the covers.
“You joining?” Brooke asked and I shook my head.
“I need to know what is going on.” I said and got up and walked out the room.
I found the big window in the dorms and sat in it and watched the night go by hoping that Jack and everyone was going to be okay.
I must of fell asleep in window and I was woken up by someone touching my arm.
When I came to my senses I saw William.
“Where’s Jack?” I asked as I stood up.
“He’s back at the dorms.” William said and I frowned at him when I noticed his aura wasn’t it’s normal self and that he was hiding something from me.
“What happened last night?” I asked compelling William by accident.
“There was a big fight and Jack got injured.” William said and I looked at him.
“And you didn’t come and get me until now because?” I asked seriously as I walked off with William following me.
“Because Jack didn’t want you too see him in a state but I don’t know what to do. You have a right to see him as your his mate but at the same time I had respect Jacks choice.” William said and I looked at him.
“Next time this happens again you bloody get me okay.” I said seriously and the walked to the wolf dorm was silent.
When we got there I could hear how much pain Jack was in and all the wolves was sat outside waiting for any news on Jack.
“Why did you get Alex? Jack said not to get Alex.” Zach said and William sighed.
“Because Alex has the right to see Jack, right now I think Jack needs Alex but he’s too stubborn and in pain to know what he wants.” William said.
I felt this need to go inside and heal Jack and the more I heard Jack in pain the harder the need to got ignore.
“What the fuck can he do? We’ve done everything we can to heal him but his injuries are too bad.” Oscar said and I looked at him.
“I brought myself back to life when the accident happened. I can heal Jack.” I said quietly and William looked at me.
“Alex is our best shot right now.” William said and Oscar scoffed and I looked at Oscar when I made him go he on his knees gasping for breath.
“You don’t want to fuck with me, I’m a lot more powerful than what you think.” I growled and William put his hand on my arm and I snapped out of what I was doing and looked at him.
“Go and see Jack.” William said softly and I nodded and walked inside and I headed to mine and Jacks room.
When I walked into the room I could sense how much pain Jack was in and Luna was sat on the edge of the bed with a flannel on his head.
I walked over and stood by Luna who jumped when she saw me and she smiled sadly at me which I returned.
“How bad?” I asked quietly as I watched Jack groan loudly in pain.
“It’s bad.” Luna whispered and I nodded and caught hold of Jacks hand.
“Hey babe, I’m here now.” I said quietly and Jack opened his eyes and looked at me.
“W..W..What you doing here?” Jack panting and you could hear now much pain his was in.
“William came and got me, good thing that he did.” I said and Jack frowned.
“Don’t speak okay. Let me fix you.” I whispered as I kissed Jacks forehead.
“Don’t waste your gift on me.” Jack groaned and I smiled.
“Tough shit, I’m going to fix you as it hurts to see you like this and I can’t lose another person in my life.” I said quietly and Jack smiled slightly.
“I’ve got you okay. I’ll make you see better soon.” I said softly.
I looked at Luna who looked down.
“Show me.” I said and Luna pulled back the covers and there was a massive cut in Jacks stomach.
“Why didn’t you get me sooner? Jack has lost a lot of blood because of this.” I said and looked at Luna.
“Because Jack said not to bother you and wolves heal quickly and we thought he would heal by now but obviously he hasn’t.” Luna said.
“Next time if this ever happens again you get me straight away.” I said seriously and looked at the cut and I touched it which made Jack hiss loudly and shout.
“I know, I’m sorry baby but I’ll make this better soon I promise.” I said and looked at Jack who was gritting his teeth from the pain.
I walked up to him and caught hold of his hand and I messed with his hair.
“I’m going to have to touch it I’m afraid and it’s going to hurt but I promise you after that there will be no more pain.” I said softly and Jack looked at me.
“Don’t do it.” Jack hissed as he panted.
“I’m not losing you okay, you make the most of what I can do because I wouldn’t do this for anyone.” I said softly and Jack groaned loudly.
I smiled as I kissed Jacks forehead and moved down the bed.
I looked at Luna.
“Hold his hand for me please. I would but I can’t.” I said and Luna smiled at me as she touched my arm.
“Thank you Alex.”Luna whispered.
“Would do anything for him.” I said quietly and Luna smiled and she walked up to Jack and caught hold of his hand and she nodded at me and I touched Jacks cut and he screamed out in pain and I felt really bad but I knew I had to do this.
It took a while but I managed to heal Jack, half way though healing him, Jack passed out from the pain which I was thankful for.
I stood back and had to get myself back to reality which was hard to do.
“Alex?” I heard someone say and I turned round and saw William.
“I need someone to dress his wound. I need to have a cigarette and vodka.” I said and William nodded at me.
“Zach will keep you company. Me and Luna will deal with Jack.” William said and I smiled at him and walked out the room.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed my cigarettes and I grabbed the vodka off the side and walked outside with Zach following me.
I sat on the top step and I started to smoke the cigarette and I had a mouthful of vodka.
“So what does this do then?” Zach asked and I looked at him.
“It numbs the spirit. I do this when I’ve pushed myself a bit too much, which isn’t very often but I can always tell.” I said quietly.
“Can’t you take medication for it?” Zach asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
“Haven’t got to that point yet.” I said quietly.
“What you did with Jack, that was amazing.” Zach said and I looked down.
“Just hoping that it is enough.” I said whispered and Zach put his hand on my knee.
“I’m sure it was.” Zach said and he stood up and he left me alone but I’m sure he was watching from a distance.
Once I felt like I had numbed the spirit I got up and I went inside and went straight up to Jacks room.
I walked in the room and William was just there holding Jacks hand.
“You’re gift, so rare but so amazingly powerful.” William said quietly.
“But also sends me batshit if I’m not careful.” I said and William turned round and looked at me.
“Would never thought someone like you would do something like this.” William said.
“He’s my mate. I can’t let him just die not after losing my family the way I did. I would do anything to make sure he stays alive.” I said and William frowned.
“Even if the spirit pushes you to insanity.” William said and I nodded and looked at Jack who was sleeping peacefully.
“I might not know much but from the love my dad showed my mum, I know this is something he would do to make sure mum was okay.” I said quietly.
“You are a very wise young man.” William said and I looked at him.
“I don’t say that to many of your kind but if I wore a hat I would certainly take it off for you.” William said and I smiled at him.
“Thank you William.” I said quietly and he smiled at me.
“If you need anything then just come downstairs.” William said and I nodded and William walked out the room catching hold of Luna’s hand as he walked past and they both left me alone with Jack.
I walked over to him and checked the bandage and there was a small amount of blood on it but I expected that and I gently pulled the covers back over his stomach.
I took my clothes off and left myself in my pants since I always got really hot since sharing the bed with Jack so I checked Jack once more and then I climbed into bed and out the tv on and I rolled onto my side and just looked at Jack.
I must of been really zoned out to this film as Jack moved and it made me jump and I looked at him.
“Hey you.” I said softly as I sat up and sat cross legged and face him.
“Hey.” Jack said quietly as he smiled.
“How you feeling?” I asked softly and Jack looked at me.
“Sore but better than earlier.” Jack said which made me smile.
“I’m glad that for feel better.” I said and Jack sighed.
“I was worried sick about you last night.” I said quietly as I looked down and messed with the covers.
“I was fine.” Jack said and I looked at him.
“No you fucking wasn’t Jack. You got injured and I didn’t know anything about it, what would of happened if you died? I can heal you Jack and I can even bring back the dead but only if I get to you in time.” I said letting my emotions I held back go.
“I don’t want you to waste your gift on me.” Jack said and I rolled my eyes.
“Healing you does hardly anything to me. Yeah it sends me a little crazy, but that’s the risk I take to make sure you are okay.” I said.
“Do you realize what your gift can do Alex? I can’t risk that happening to you.” Jack said and I looked down.
“I know exactly what the spirit can do.” I said quietly and I looked at Jack.
“But I can’t lose you, I’ve lost my family and I thought I understand what it is like to understand lose. But if anything happened to you Jack I wouldn’t be able to carry on like I have done when my family died. I had a reason to keep on going but without you there is nothing. So I will fucking do anything in my power to make sure you are okay and if using spirit is the only way to protect you then let it make me go insane.” I said seriously and Jack sighed.
“Please understand this Jack.” I whispered as I looked down and I felt Jacks hand on top of mine which made me look at him.
“I understand.” Jack whispered and I smiled slightly.
“Now what do I have to do to get cuddles.” Jack said and I smiled as I crawled over to him and climbed back under the cover and cuddled into Jacks side, being careful of his stomach.
I rested my head on Jacks chest and just molded myself around him and Jack kissed the top of my head.
“I’m sorry I caused all this worry for you.” Jack whispered and I smiled and kissed his chest softly.
“It’s okay. I might be able to forgive you.” I said quietly and I allowed myself to just relax and fall asleep.
