Jack’s POV
I had this uneasy feeling about this party but I was going to go for Alex.
“Damn didn’t know you washed up this well.” Zach said as I walked into the kitchen.
“Please don’t remind me on what I’m about to endure for the next god knows how many hours.” I said as I lent against the side.
“What’s going on?” Zach asked.
“Alex has a party tonight and all 12 royal families are going to be there.” I said and Zach pulled a face.
“Well all I can say is that you still smell like a dog and nobody is going to like you but hey what can I say, you’re not there for their entertainment.” I heard Alex say and I turned round and my mouth almost hit the floor.
Alex was in a formal suit with a small crown on his head and I just couldn’t help but eyeball Alex.
“Well if you don’t want to be his arm candy then I will be.” Zach said quietly and I looked at him and pushed him gently and I looked back at Alex.
“Okay, you can both stop staring at me I’m not that good looking in this suit and stupid tie.” Alex said bluntly and I chuckled as I walked over to him and kissed him.
“You look gorgeous.” I said quietly in Alex’s ear and Alex looked at me and smiled as he stood up and looked me up and down.
“Don’t look too bad yourself.” Alex said quietly as he sorted my tie out for me and he smiled as someone cleared their throat and Alex turned round.
“The car is ready sir.” Someone said and Alex looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile which I returned as I followed Alex to the car.
“What’s that?” I asked as I pointed to the gem on Alex’s crown.
“It’s my family jewel.” Alex said as he looked at me.
“You have to promise me that you aren’t going to get annoyed and shift.” Alex said and I frowned at him.
“When have I ever shifted when your around?” I asked and Alex smiled at me and I put my hand on top of his.
“I can keep my cool as long as you are around and your not in danger.” I said and Alex chuckled as he looked at the two guardians.
“I’ve got tweedle dum and tweedle dee keeping an eye on me tonight, you just need to relax and take this all in because this won’t be the only time you be keeping me company to these parties.” Alex said and I looked at the two guardians and quietly growled and one of the guardians turned round and looked at us.
“He’s fine. Just ignore him.” Alex said and the guardian nodded as he turned round and carried on to what they both was talking about.
“You’re going to have to learn to trust them as they are now my signed guardians.” Alex said and I looked at him.
“I don’t trust them.” I said and Alex smiled as he lent forward and kissed me.
“I know, but tonight you have to relax and let them do their job, for me.” Alex said and I smiled at him as I nodded.
“I’ll try.” I said quietly and Alex smiled at me as one of the guardians turned round and looked at Alex.
“We’re here Sir.” They said and Alex nodded as he looked at me.
“You ready?” Alex asked and I nodded just as the doors opened and we both got out the car and I walked round to Alex’s side and I looked at him and I could feel his nerves and I gently put my hand on the lower part of his back which made him jump slightly as he looked at me.
“You’ve got this Lex.” I said and Alex smiled at me as he sighed loudly and we both walked inside.
I was busy looking at the food and feeling really disappointed at the choice off food while I was listening out for Alex.
“You seem more depressed about the food than anything else.” I heard Alex say from beside me and I looked at him and smiled.
“How is this meant to feed anything? I mean I could eat the whole thing and still be hungry.” I said and Alex chuckled as he helped himself to some food.
“Oh the downside of being you.” Alex said as he turned round and I did the same and you could tell everyone was judging me and Alex.
“Prince Alexander.” Someone said and I looked at Alex and saw someone walking over to Alex and I really had to fight the urge to growl at this Moroi as the vibe I got from them wasn’t good.
“Marco.” Alex said which made me frown as so far everyone spoke to Alex always addressed him as Prince Alexander But this Moroi wasn’t being addressed by this.
“So your the one who brought the dog.” This Marco person said and I frowned at him as I moved which Alex moved to block me.
“Yes I brought the dog, but hey why should I be normal considering I’m not the normal royal.” Alex said and Marco looked at me knowing this would get to me.
“You look at me and only me. I am still a Prince and you will respect that.” Alex said in a low clear voice but it was enough to make the room go silent.
“You do not bring my mate into this. You do not get to look at him. You aren’t you go near him. Do I make myself very clear about this.” Alex said seriously as he stepped towards Marco and it was strange seeing this side of Alex.
“You maybe Princess Katherines mate but you are nothing to me and I will stand my ground. Now you back the fuck off and don’t come near my mate again.” Alex growled showing his fangs and this Moroi backed off and walked away.
“Has anybody else got a problem or can we carry on?” Alex said and the room stayed quiet Alex took this as his answer and everyone carried on with their business.
“And you told me to keep a lid on things.” I said quietly in Alex’s ear.
“Marco is a bastard, never trust that Moroi.” Alex said as he turned round and looked at me.
I smiled at him which Alex returned as I placed my hand on his back and we went back to mingle with everyone.
“Have to say, I know that the Gaskarths had that hint of not following the rules but I didn’t know that little Gaskarth would go completely rule breaking and mating with a wolf.” A middle aged Moroi Princess said to Alex.
“Well What can I say, I’m one for not following the rules.” Alex said as he lent into my side and put his hand in my back pocket like it was nothing.
“How are you coping? I mean that was awful what happened to your family.” The princess said and Alex smiled sadly.
“I’m doing good now I have this one by my side.” Alex said and the Princess looked at me which for the first time didn’t make me feel uneasy.
“He’s a good one, yeah he looks the part and to be honest I wouldn’t want to get on his bad side but he’s a good one.” The Princess said and I smiled slightly.
“And he’s so handsome.” The Princess said and stepped towards me which made me step back and she almost looked hurt.
“Hey Nala, can we speak to you in private.” Alex said and I looked at him with a confused look on my face.
“Sure, I just need to let Aidan know and I’ll be with you two outside.” The Princess said and she walked off and me and Alex headed outside.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I asked quietly and Alex smiled at me.
“Relax, Nala is a spirit user as well. She the nicest one in this room, I mean she didn’t ignore you like everyone else did in that room. Now you need to trust me and she is a good way to find answers.” Alex said quietly.
We was stood outside Alex having a cigarette when Nala came and joined us.
“You couldn’t give us one could you?” Nala said and Alex shook his head and gave Nala a cigarette.
“What was it you want to talk about.” Nala said as she looked at me with a frown.
“I’m not the only one with something which drives me crazy.” I said and Nala still frowned at me which made me look at Alex.
“You’re bonded?” Nala asked as she looked at Alex.
“That’s what we want to talk to you about. I mean you’re a spirit user as well and we was hoping you could help us.” Alex said and Nala nodded.
“What you two have is rare, I mean there’s only one bonded pair like you two of our kind anyway.” Nala said and I looked at Alex confused because right now she sounded crazy to me since she was sort of rambling a little.
“Yeah we know that but we need more information about us.” Alex said and Nala smiled as she looked at Alex.
“You know the spirit is rare and if another one was in the room we can spot them out. It’s the same if you where bonded.” Nala said and Alex frowned slightly.
“Yeah aware on how rare our power is, but what about me and Jack. Do you know where we can look to find any information about us. I’ve looked all over the library at school and have found nothing.” Alex said and Nala nodded.
“You found nothing about the person you school is name after?” Nala asked.
“Didn’t even know the shithole was named after someone.” Alex said bluntly and Nala chuckled as she smiled.
“Gosh you sound like your brother.” Nala said and Alex looked down.
“But what about me?” I asked because I’m now really bloody lost on this now and it made both Alex and Nala look at me.
“Surely Alex being with me is frowned upon by your kind. So being what me and Alex are super super frowned upon.” I said and Nala looked at Alex.
“He has a point Nala.” Alex said and Nala was about to say something when someone came out.
“There you are, was wondering where you was.” A man said as he stood by Nala.
“I was just talking to Alexander and his mate.” Nala said and the man looked at me and Alex with a frown.
“So you’re the one stinking the place out.” The man said.
“Well I’m sorry if my dog smell is offending everyone.” I said sarcastically and Alex looked at me as a warning.
“Why you out here and not inside.” The man said and Nala smiled at him.
“Catching up, haven’t seen little Gaskarth for a while.” Nala said and frown at the nickname Nala had for Alex.
“Still causing trouble I take it?” The man asked and Alex chuckled.
“Yep, I’m sure everyone has heard about my great escape.” Alex said as he stood close to me probably meaning he was cold.
“Just like Fredrick although he failed in complete style.” The man said and Alex chuckled.
“Well I did have the brains compared to him.” Alex said and I could feel him shiver slightly against me.
“Excuse us.” I said as I took Alex indoors which made Alex frown at me but dropped the subject as we went inside.
After what felt like hours me and Alex got home and we ignored everyone and went straight to my room since we was both exhausted.
“So explain to me what the fuck we learnt tonight.” I said as I just collapsed onto the bed which made Alex chuckle softly as he sat next to me and started to mess with my hair.
“Fuck all, think Nala was having a hard time, she didn’t seem like herself maybe that’s why Aidan was a bit more protective over her than normal.” Alex said as he stopped messing with my hair which made me look at him and I saw he starting to get himself undressed.
“She calls you Little Gaskarth while everyone calls you Alexander.” I said as I sat up and watched Alex undress.
“My brother was always know as big Gaskarth and I was little Gaskarth. Also it’s a thing that most Morois call royals by their full name or by their title. Like my family or those close to me Alex and my brother was called Freddie but outside of the house he was know as Fredrick and I was Alexander.” Alex said as he looked down.
“Nala is a family friend and once her family and my family where powerful families. But then my family got wiped out and then there was only me and some members of Nala’s family went to the dark side.” Alex said and I frowned at him as I had no clue what he meant about the dark side.
“It’s late and I don’t what to explain everything my kind has to you now. I just to go to bed and forget about tonight.” Alex said quietly and I got up and walked over to him and wrapped my arms round his as I kissed his cheek.
“It’s fine. I can wait.” I said quietly and Alex turned round and looked at me.
I looked and noticed he still had his crown off so I took it off and looked at it and smiled as I put it in the safe place Alex keeps it.
“There back to being my Alex.” I said and Alex chuckled as he walked over to the bed and collapsed onto the bed and I chuckled softly as I started to get undressed.
When I turned round to see if Alex was watching and he was fast asleep on his front hugging his pillow with the covers just covering his ass which made me smile as I quietly walked over and pulled the covers over him which made Alex sigh loudly but he didn’t wake up.
I pulled some trackies on and I went downstairs where Tate was still up.
“It’s the middle of the night, why you still up?” I asked as I got myself and Alex a drink.
“Can’t sleep.” Tate said and I nodded.
“How did tonight go? Alex looked bushed when you got back.” Tate said and I smiled.
“Yeah tonight was pretty different to what we’re used to, don’t think I’ll get used to people calling Alex Prince Alexander.” I said and Tate chuckled.
“Where is he? Normally he doesn’t let you put his sight.” Tate said and I smiled.
“He’s passed out in bed.” I said and Tate smiled.
“Have to admit, he looks good in a suit. He’s still annoying little brat but he’s rocks the whole suit and whatever was on top of his head look.” Tate said and I couldn’t help but laugh at him.
“And he’s all mine. Anyway I’m bushed and going to bed.” I said as I walked off and went upstairs.
