The Death Of A Bachelor
Summary
"I didn't mean to." I tried, only to shut me up as another disapproving scoff filled my ear.
"Just knock it off, it's April sixth not April first." She snapped.
"I'm not trying to fool you, mom!" I exclaimed, pulling at my hair in frustration. "Why would I be calling you on my second day in Vegas if it wasn't important?"
I bit my cheek, listening to a tense five seconds of silence before it all went to hell.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" She exclaimed.
I cringed, holding my iPhone at least five inches from my face as soon as the screeching began. I lolled my head back, listening to the rage of my mother as she spewed select phrases of Arabic down the phone at me while I at my lip to keep from interrupting her.
