I Guess I'll Go Home Now
Nine
We were at Target for about 45 minutes now. It was hard to do shopping because Alex went to the toy department and started throwing things at me. Making me laugh.
About 30 minutes later we had gotten all the stuff we needed and started making our way to the check out line. I was looking at the magazines when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.
New Text Message: Rian
Alex left his phone at home, can you let him borrow yours so he can call me? It's really important.
Reply Message:
Sure thing.
"Um, Alex. Rian just texted me. He wants you to call him. Says it's important." I said.
"Oh, Sure. Can you pay for this? I'll give you money, I'm just going to take this over there." He said.
"Yeah babe." I smiled as he handed me the money.
I watched him walk over by Starbucks. He was on the phone with Rian and had a shock look on his face. He'll tell me later if he wants to.
Just as I finished paying for everything, he walked back over to help me carry the bags.
We walked to the car and loaded the stuff in silence. As we got in he just sat there. I looked out the window when I heard him suck in a big breath.
"So." He said.
"Everything ok?" I asked.
"Sorta. Rian just called me." He said.
"I know, is he ok?" I said starting to get worried.
"He and Kara broke up." He said.
"What? Why?"
"Didn't say." He shook his head. "Man that girl was like a sister to us, it's going to be different not having her around."
"I always thought they would end up getting married." I whispered to myself in complete shock. Alex nodded in agreement and started up the car. The ride back to the house was a quiet one, both of us shocked at the news.
When we got to the house Alex and I unloaded the car in silence and went in. Rian was no where to be found, my guess was he was in his room dealing with the break up.
"Blake, do you m ind putting the stuff away? I'm going to go talk to Rian." Alex asked quietly.
"No not at all, go on ahead." I said.
I was sad that they broke up because Kara and I had really gotten to know each other in the time that I have been living here with the guys. She and I were supposed to be roomies on tour but now it will just have to be Arabella and I. I put all the food away and went up to my room to get ready for the pool party. We were going to have to have an even better time because Rian was going to be bummed.
