gay date

Alex's pov
It was so sweet of Jack to take us on this date, he brought a picnic basket of really nice little treats. He set them out perfectly in a quiet area near the river. Eager for his touch I tackled him with loving force, he was shocked at first but pulled me into a hug. It was a peaceful moment together, something we both wanted, something we needed after all of this time.
We spent 20 minutes just lying in each other's arms, the only sound we heard was each other's steady breathing. I couldn't have asked for a perfect moment, except for maybe my lips on his so that's what I set out to do. Pulling us up gently I moved my lips closer to him hoping he would close the distance (MAKING SURE IT WAS CONSENSUAL BC THAT FUCKING MATTERS). Taking less than two seconds to connect our lips. I took control and moved down towards his neck, things were heating up it was real. SNAP the sound of a twig snapping nearby could be heard
Not now please not now I can't ruin this with Jack
Flashback
'come on Alex just take a sip of this you'll be fine' max slurred shoving a can of an unknown alcohol onto my lap.
'listen if it will shut you up fine but you still need to tell me about the girl from the park, you blush at every mention of her' I answered slightly too bitter.
He was lost in thought for a while, not moving at all except for his chest slowly moving in and out. He titled his head slightly and fixated on a rope hanging from a tree branch.
'leex' he said dragging out the e 'I have an idea that you're not gonna like'
Before I could answer him, he was sprinting over to this rope. him being as drunk as he was and that rope hanging over a pretty rough river I knew this would end painfully.
I really didn't have energy however to stop him, maybe had broken his ankle or something and learn not to do dumb stuff. With that thought in mind, I shuffled down the floor until only my head was lightly resting on the tree, and closed my eyes
I was woken up by the sound of a tree branch snapping and a violent splash. It took a few moments for my brain to make any correlation. As soon as it clicked that he was in danger it was too late.
He was found at the end of the river a good 20 minutes after I left him, no pulse. Never will I forget that night.
The police told me it wasn't my fault, but that's not what his parents told me at his funeral.
Jacks Pov
Alex was shaking aggressively, with hot tears streaming down his face. His eyes were filled with more tears. I wasn't great at this whole panic thing but I'd spent long enough with hi to know what would calm him down. I brought him from his thoughts and asked him to take deep breaths with me.
Eventually, he calmed down so I picked him up and carried his tired frame back to my car, we'd eaten most of the things anyway and Alex was wrapped in the blanket I'd brought
This certainly wasn't how I expected this to go. I didn't mind I was just worried about Alex
