The Lion and The Lamb

Alex's POV

Dad came home and I was sat in the sitting room doing homework.
"Heard you and Jack had words at school today." Dad said and sat in his chair.
"Yeah, I don't really want to talk about it." I said and closed my books and got up off the floor.
"Alex where you going?" Dad asked.
"I'm going for a walk." I said and put my shoes on.
"Before you ask the question, no I'm not going to be doing something stupid." I said and walked out the door and headed towards the hill.
While I was walking to the hill I texted Jack to see if he would join me and he said to give him half an hour and he'll be up at the hill.

I was miles away looking at the small town below the hill when I heard a twig snap behind me and I looked round and saw Jack.
I didn't realize I was crying until I felt tears roll down my cheeks and I sniffed and wiped my nose in my sleeve.
"Your crying, why is such a pretty face like yours so tear stained?" Jack asked as he sat down and pulled me to his side and I just let him do it.
"I'm just being stupid, it's nothing." I sniffed.
"Your upset. What's the matter? Come on you can trust me." Jack said and I shook my head.
"I..I..I trust people then they throw it in my face." I said and moved away from Jack.
"I won't do that to you. Alex please believe me when I say that you can trust me." Jack said.
"But your popular, your loud and you speak before you think. I have been the gossip and I have been the person everyone has made fun. I don't ever want to be like that person again. I can't have that happen to me again." I said and I sniffed loudly and Jack pulled me back into his side.
"I might be popular, loud and speak before I think but I can keep my mouth shut when I need to keep it shut." Jack said and I nodded.
"How about this, we get to know each other. Just basic questions." Jack said and I looked at him and nodded which made Jack smile.

I moved and sat in front of me.
"So what's your name and how old are you?" Jack asked I looked at him and frowned.
"Answer the question, I also want you to tell me your middle name." Jack said and I looked down.
"Okay, my name is Alexander William Gaskarth and I am 17 years old. Now it's your turn." I said and I looked at Jack.
"My name is Jack Bassam Barakat and I am also 17 years old." Jack said and I frowned.
"Your Arabic?" I asked.
"Techically I'm from Lebanon, which is in Western Asia but in the Middle East if that makes any sense, but that sort of where the bloodline comes from." Jack said and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"So with a middle name like William I'm guessing your from England?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, my mum was English." I said and looked down.
"Where is your mum? I noticed that it's just you and your dad but there's pictures of her." Jack said.
"My mum died in a car accident when I was 10." I said and started to pick at the grass.
"Alex I'm so sorry." Jack said and I smiled a little.
"I don't want to talk about it. What about you?" I said and looked at Jack.
"My dad died from a drug overdose and I have no idea what my dead beat mother is doing now." Jack said and I frowned at him.
"My mother is a drug user and she's a alcoholic. It's why I live with my brother Charlie and his wife Kylie and their two kids Lily and Jackson." Jack said and I chuckled a little.
"Jack and Jackson, gets a bit confusing in your house then." I said.
"I'm Jack and Jackson is Jacks. We have it all sorted." Jack said with a smile.

"So are you gay or straight, maybe even bisexual or whatever other sexual orientations there are out there." Jack said.
I chuckled and I picked Jacks hand up and messed with it.
"I am gay, have been since I was 7 years old." I said quietly.
"You should totally hang out with me and a couple of my gay friends. It'll make feel less alone and you'll actually have some friends as well." Jack said and I put Jacks hand down and I looked down.
"I can't. I'm just impossible to get along with." I said.
"No your not, we're talking now and I feel like your my friend." Jack said and I smiled and I looked at Jack.
"You never said what you was." I said quietly.
"Well if you lean forward I can show you." Jack said quietly.
I leant forward and I felt Jacks lips on mine and he kissed me which after a few seconds I returned it.
The kiss only lasted a few moment but it felt like it lasted ages.
"You have your answer." Jack whispered.
I smiled a shy smile.
"So, baby, let's go home." Jack said and stood up and offered me his hand which I took and Jack helped me off the floor.
"Don't call me that, I'm not with you and also I'm not your property. We kissed and that's all. I don't belong to you." I said seriously and Jack smirked at me and stepped forward and kissed me again which I returned for some stupid reason.
"We she'll see." Jack said quietly and we walked back to ours.

I got to my house and opened the door and turned round and looked at Jack.
"Laters baby." Jack said with a smile and he turned round and walked off.
I groaned and rolled my eyes as I walked in and took my shoes off and walked to the sitting room.
"Was that Jack I heard?" Dad asked.
"Yes and what he said the answer is no we're not in a relationship." I said and sat down.
"Wasn't even going to question it." Dad said and I smiled.
We went on a Bates Motel marathon until we both fell asleep.
