2015-

Riley and Summer ended up joining the Future Hearts Tour a little more than two weeks after it started. Conveniently, that's when the tour came through Anaheim, California so there was very minimal traveling necessary to get them there.

It didn't take too long but there was a definite adjustment period between Riley and Summer joining and the guys being completely comfortable with a child on the bus.

There were a few incidents where a few of the guys would get a little too rowdy, a little too late at night on the bus and Alex would have to reprimand them. Riley begged him not to but he didn't listen. She knew the decision she made coming on tour and bringing Summer with her. She knew how much the guys were all sacrificing already with them being there and she didn't want to push it. As long as Summer wasn't physically in the room with ridiculous things happening, she would keep her mouth shut.

The tour had reached Minnesota and since there was no show the next day, there was a very late bus call that night, which of course meant a party night. Riley had yet to join the boys on any outings and Alex had been determined to fix that.

Before the show, All Time Low and some of their crew were out doing a few press appearances. Riley and Summer hung back on the bus so Summer could continue on her school summer reading assignments, while Riley secretly did some work on her laptop. She knew if Alex knew she was doing work related things while she was supposed to be on vacation, he'd get upset.

She had just finishing responding to her sixth email when he phone buzzed next to her with a text message.

Alex: Babe! Great news!

Riley: Babe! What's that?

Alex: You get to come out with us tonight!

Riley: Cool. Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and Busters? Remember, my favorite accessory is an eight year old.

Alex: Neither. It's some place called the Living Room. Jack picked it. Some girl he's "talking to" recommended it.

Riley: Well I'm sure if it's up to Jack's friend's standards, you'll have a great time.

Alex: But that's the great news! You get to have a great time too! Matt isn't coming.

Riley: He's the tour manager. Isn't it his job to go and make sure none of you get left behind? Or arrested?

Alex: He's got some work stuff to catch up on, advancing shows, reconfirming hotel rooms for our driver and other paperwork stuff. He said he's staying in.

Riley: I don't know. I doubt he wants to babysit on top of all that.

Alex: He doesn't mind! He actually offered. I swear! Please say you'll come. Pleaseeee!!!

Riley put her phone down for a second to think. Even though she was sure Matt would have no problem keeping an eye on Summer, she felt bad dumping her kid on someone else so she could have a good time. But on the other hand, Summer and Matt had a very tight relationship. Riley was actually pretty sure Summer wanted Matt's job.

Before she could take any longer to think about it her phone buzzed again.

Alex: Babeeeee!

Riley chuckled to herself and picked up her phone.

Riley: Aren't you doing an interview right now?

Alex: Yeah... that's why I'm texting. Don't change the subject. You in or what?

Riley: As long as Summer's okay with it, I guess I'm in.

Riley: it's not like you're going to give me much of a choice.

Alex: Yaaaaaas! Good! You deserve some fun every once in a while.

Alex: Especially since you've been not so secretly working this whole time...

Riley: #busted :(

Alex: Damn right.

Riley: Sorry... Am I in trouble?

Alex: You'll get your spankings later. In the meantime, I should probably try and be a bit more professional.

Alex: I will see you in a little bit. Love you. <333

Riley: See ya. <3

Of course when Riley asked her, Summer had no problem hanging out with Matt for the night. She knew that meant ice cream for dinner and tons of Disney movies.

Summer was also very smart and observant for an eight year old and knew how happy Alex made her mom. If she had to stay in for the night so her mom could have one fun night with her boyfriend, she was fine with it.

After double and triple and even quadruple checking with Matt that he was going to be okay, Riley finally allowed Alex to drag her off the bus where a few Uber cars were waiting to take them all to their destination.

"Riley, Matt's been in charge of us for the last ten years and nothing catastrophic has happened yet. I'm pretty sure he'll be fine with an incredibly well behaved eight year old contained to the bus for a few hours," Jack yelled from where he sat on the third bench of the van to the front where Riley sat,"Try to have some fun tonight!"

Jack had downed a few drinks before they left and had already forgotten how to control the volume of his voice.

"I'm certainly going to try," Riley said as she chuckled to herself, shaking her head.

"You will," Alex assured her, putting his arm around her shoulders to pull her a bit closer.

Once they had gotten into the place, Riley decided to let herself relax and have a good time. Alex was right; she did deserve to have a little fun every once in a while.

"Riley! Riley! Riley!" Alex yelled over the loud music as he came barreling back from the bar towards his girlfriend.

"Alex! Alex! Alex!" She mimicked, placing her hands on his shoulders to steady him a bit.

Riley had been slowly sipping a bottle of Angry Orchard Apple Cider while Alex went for the hard liquor. He was wasted while she had a nice buzz, and that's about as far as she was going to get.

"It's our song!" Alex yelled again, taking a long sip from his newest drink.

"I don't understand..." Riley said, looking at him confused as I Love It by Icona Pop blared through the speakers.

"Really?" he gasped. "You really don't understand why this is our song?"

"I don't," Riley shrugged. "The one time we talked about having a song, you picked 21 Questions by 50 Cent because it was the next love song to come on the radio while we were having that conversation."

It was hard for Alex to really pick a song for him a Riley. His argument always was if he needed a song to convey his feelings about her, he'd write it. All Time Low had released two albums (Don't Panic and Future Hearts) since Alex met Riley and there were plenty of songs in their catalogue now about her.

"Okaaaay, that's our real song because I do love you like a fat kid loves cake..." Alex explained, dropping his arm around Riley's shoulder. "But this song," he paused to point up, "this song has special meaning too!"

Riley frowned. "Am I awful because I still don't get it?"

"Kinda..." Alex nodded. "This was the song that was playing when we first met."

"Shut up," Riley laughed. "No it's not!"

"It sure is!" Alex exclaimed, swaying slightly as he removed his arm from around Riley's shoulder. "Scout's honor," he said, holding up three fingers.

"I can't believe you remember that," Riley said, smiling as she looked up at him.

"How could I not remember every detail from the moment I first met the love of my life?" Alex asked, a dead serious look on his face as he slammed his now empty glass down on a nearby ledge.

Riley tried not to laugh at him. Alex tended to get overly emotional and overly affectionate when he drank too much. She didn't want to upset him.

"I'm sorry," she said, sliding her arms around Alex's neck. "I may not remember the song that was playing but I do remember the drink you spilled on me to ruin my shirt like it was yesterday."

A smile formed across Alex's lips as he gripped her hips tightly.

"That's acceptable," he decided before bending down to press a soft kiss to her lips. "Come on," he said excitedly when he pulled away and grabbed her hands.

"Come on where?" she asked, fighting against him as he tried to pull her to the dance floor.

"I think it's only fair that you dance with me to our song," he decided, giving her hand another yank.

"Alex, no," she insisted, trying her hardest to release her hand from his grasp and failing miserably each time she stumbled with him another foot closer to the dance floor.

"Stop bitching," he grumbled.

"Alex, you know I don't dance," she argued.

"I know but," he paused when they got to the edge of the dance floor, pulling her body close to his, timing himself perfectly with the song "I don't care..."

Notes

So, kind of a short chapter. Originally this one was going to include the flashback to the night they first met but I decided to make ya wait for it a little longer. :-) Hope you enjoy! <3

Also, I know that technically Brian is All Time Low's tour manager now, but I thought two Brians in the story may get confusing, so I kept Matt around, haha.
