"....and that's why I want to propose a 'ménage à trois' "

"Fuck, let me google that quickly." Jack says pulling out his phone.

I cackle softly at that, of course Jack would do something like that.

Alex patiently waits until Jack starts reading his search result.

"Uhm, okay, Wiki says: A ménage à trois is an arrangement in which three people having romantic and/or sexual relations with each other occupy the same household. It is a form of polyamory." He looks up confused.

"Yeah, I mean without the same household part obviously." Alex clarifies in a calm voice. He doesn't seem concerned about the outrageousness of his proposal at all.

I shake my head. "Alex, I don't know what to say really, what kind of idea is this? I mean who does something like that?..." for once I'm at a loss for words.

"Well Wiki here states heaps of examples of famous people who engaged in it.." Jack pipes up still reading on his phone.

"Jack! You can't be seriously considering this!" I hiss at him.

He quickly drops his phone putting on his adult voice.
"No, of course not, that's ridiculous Alex!" He thinks for a moment" Wait! are you talking a threesome here?" Jack speaks without filter.

I facepalm at this, can this man ever be serious for just two seconds?

A small smile plays around Alex's lips when he reassures. "I think, that would take it a bit far for a start, Jacky.
There will have to be ground rules of course, so that everyone is comfortable with this arrangement and I guess you two need time to talk this over, so I would suggest we wait until the tour is over and you give me your answer after, until then I promise I will not do anything inappropriate but may I ask for the permission to court you both?"

I lean back into my chair shaking my head again. I'm speechless. I can't believe how bold he is, as if he does something like that everyday. Wait! Maybe he does, how would I know?

He presses a kiss to either of our hands and then gets up.

"I think I leave you to it. Love you guys." With that he turns and leaves.

I watch him until he disappears from my view and then turn back to Jack who stares at me with his jaw slack. "What the fuck was that?" He whispers.

"That was Alex casually stating he wants to be part of our relationship, I guess." I huff incredulously.

Jack pushes the cup of coffee away from him. "I guess I call this waiter of yours and order something stronger. I need some sort of liquor to stomach this talk. Hey, we can even ask this guy if he wants to join in our ménage as well, he seemed keen." He crudely jokes while waving his hand to alert Telle.

I slap his chest hard and he flinches. "Shut the fuck up, Barakat, you are an idiot."
"..and order something for me, too. Maybe a bit of alcohol in my system will help pretending this was all just a weird dream." I continue letting out a gush of air to relax myself.
......

We then moved from the cafe to a restaurant because we got hungry and the whole time we were only making casual conversation the both of us apparently not wanting to touch the subject.

It is over dessert that I finally ask what has been bugging me for a while. "Hey Jack, mind telling me how far your relationship with Alex went?"

He comfortably leans back into the booth we're sitting in and contemplates for a moment.

"Well I don't even know if you could call it a relationship. We have always been close and cuddly and then on the first tour for the new album Alex initiated it, we were making out every chance we got after that, a few handjobs and blowjobs, we would have gone further but none of us wanted to bottom." He bluntly explains, grinning at the last part.

"Then pretty much a month before his wedding he tells me, it didn't mean anything and we would have to stop. I felt really shitty for a long time after that because it started out as just fun but I got attached to him quickly. And imagine me having to be there as his best man, I'm telling you I had to get so drunk just to get through this day."

He looks at me sadly. "But while we're at it, you never told me about your affair with Alex."

I think about what he just told me and wince at the realisation. "Okay, when I was working with you guys on the recording of Future Hearts I got really close with Alex, you know long nights in the studio, going for dinner afterwards and so on.
But I just thought of him as a good friend. We kept seeing each other even after the album was finished and it sort of just happened.
He asked if he could come home with me one night and we had sex. This went on until a couple month before his wedding and he dumped me telling me the same stuff he told you and that means...."
I pause to get my head around it and give Jack the chance to realise it himself, "...he was with the both of us at the same time." I conclude.

"Fuuuuuuck." Jack groans and runs his hands through his hair.

"So without us knowing, we already had a polyamory going on?" He asks.

I think about it for a moment.
"Well, not exactly but I guess you could look at it like that, "

This is so fucked up!

Okay, I really like this chapter because I slowly get more into my characters and enjoyed writing this one.
I hope you like it too.

BUT the weekend is over at least here in Australia and that means less time to write. :( anyways I will keep at it.
