behind the scenes
an introduction
The following information is brought to you by IMDb and Wikipedia, the internet's #1 source for actors/actresses and your general browsing needs.
Melissa Dawson (Actress)
Melissa Rose Dawson (born February 14, 1990 in Towson, Maryland) is an American actress and producer. She is best known for her co-starring role on the hit MTV series "Hit The Lights", which she has co-produced several episodes (see end of Season 3 and start of Season 4). Dawson first's acting role came in 2008 when she appeared on a national commercial for Gap, and it wasn't until 2010 when she first hit the silver screen in the independent film "She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty", which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and received mostly positive reviews. From then on, she starred in several guest roles with one small reoccuring role until she was picked up by MTV for the second season of "Hit The Lights" in 2012. (source: IMDb)
Both IMDb and Wikipedia have credited Dawson for her craft versatility as a young actor, going from a charasmatic, comedic role to a serious, dramatic role at the drop of a hat. She has also been acknowledged for her musical/singing abilities showcased on "Glee", which several fans accredit to her direct relation to the hit Alternative band All Time Low, where her brother Rian plays the drums as well her as being close to the other three members, Zachary Merrick (bass), Alexander Gaskarth (vocals/guitar), and Jack Barakat (lead guitar). While Dawson is still relatively new to acting by the industry's standards, she has been described as one of Hollywood's brightest- and most promising -rising stars.
