Seventeen
After their birthday, the kids got themselves settled into finding a crew to have tour with them to help where Tom couldn't work. They ended up hiring Grey Sanders as their new ATM and turned out that she knows how to tech a guitar. Tom also hired someone to be the drum tech and they got their sound and light engineers through the companies Evan and Jeff were hired through to work for Alex and the guys. Vinny decided to pull some strigns at Glamour Kills and got Marky to allow the kids to use GK to make their merch shirts that they design.
Right now, the kids and the guys were away in Australia playing the Soundwave festival. I was home alone, both Liam and Noelle were out at school. I was busy cleaning up Stella's room since she left it in a mess. I went to pull her trash can and I found the one thing I didn't want to find it there. I ran from the room and I grabbed my phone to call Alex.
"Hey Jules, how's everything holding up at home," Alex greeted when he answered my phone call.
"Stella is in big trouble. I found a used condom in her trash can," I told him.
"You're joking. She managed to sneak around at home to get with Jack. Damnit. I'll talk to her," he replied.
"We might as well let her continue her new relationship level with Jack. We just need to make sure they play it smart. If Stella does get pregnant, we'll deal with it then. For now we just try to keep it safe," I told him as I went into Tom's room to clean it up.
"Agreed. I'll make sure that big Jack gets his son plenty of condoms and makes little Jack double up," he replied. I went to pull Tom's trash and I found two more in his. My son is in so much trouble now.
"Alex, you better include Rian and Jack in on a talk with Jack and Stella. I found two condoms in Tom's trash. That means he's been having sex with Aubree. Please attempt to protect Tom from Rian furry. I want both of my twins kept safe from this," I told him.
Both of my teenage children are growing up faster than I'd like. First I thought Stella was the one that wanted to grow up quickly and have sex, but now I find that Tom was right with her on it. I guess they aren't my little babies anymore, but they're my sixteen year old twins that have the chance of a lifetime to make it in the business their father has been so successful in for well over 25 years.
"Jules, I think they're growing up to not need us anymore," Alex replied.
"I hate to admit it though, Alex. They're only kids, they don't know anything about what's out there," I told him.
"We have to trust them to make the right decisions now, Jules. We just have to be there to catch them when they fall," Alex replied, "I need to go. I have to do our sound check and then talk with our kids. I love you Jules, so fucking much. I can't wait to come home."
"I love you too, Alex. Have fun and call me when you can. I miss you so much," I parted with him and hung up.
I guess now it's time fo rme to prepare myself to send my kids off to sea. I need to understand that they have to be carried out by the tides and swim on their own. I know that I'm going to rush to their aid if they start to sink out in the tides.
