Chapter Nine: One and Only

*The first half of this does have mature content, though it's not suuuuper bad. Still, if you'd like to skip this, feel free to move on to the next bold text :)****

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only

I promise I'm worthy
To hold in your arms
So come on and give me the chance
To prove I am the one who can walk that mile
Until the end starts

“Holy shit, we actually did it!” I laughed in disbelief as Jack and I stumbled into the hotel’s elevator, drunk on our love as the doors quietly shut behind us. His lips were on me in seconds, peppering my neck with electric shocks that lit me to my core, I knew only teasing what was to come. My laugh faded into the elegantly golden elevator and I let out an involuntary gasp as Jack’s hands began to wander, trailing down my front as his fingertips grazed the hem of my dress, already inching up towards my already drenched center. My smile faltered as I slapped his hand away. “Babe, not here--”

“Why not?” He muttered, his hot breath feeling like fire against my sensitive skin.

“B-because,” I stuttered, my eyes rolling to the back of my head as his mouth trailed back up to my jawline and just behind my ear, which happened to be one of my intimate sweet spots. Jack knew this, and took full advantage as my knees went weak. He chuckled against my skin, but I hastily recovered, gesturing with my eyebrows towards the upper corner of the elevator as I explained against his lips, “...cameras.”

His turned his head up towards the direction I was pointing towards and instantly he cursed at the blatantly obvious camera placed in the upper corner of the elevator. His grip on me loosened, but he didn’t let go, at least not fully as he stretched out just far enough to tap the button we’d neglected to press initially as we were too busy getting our celebrations started to bother with such a thing. “We better get back to that damn room, then.” He smirked, his dark chocolate eyes like pools of lust as he shamelessly eyed my body. I shyly smiled back, knowing I’d never get used to Jack looking at me like that, whether I was his girlfriend, fiancee or wife. To me, Jack was the most handsome man on the planet, and for him to look at me with such beauty and wonder...well I just couldn’t believe how I’d gotten so lucky.

Finally the small box we were in began moving up and Jack was on me once more, our lips pressed together in a romantic dance, teeth carelessly clashing and tongues tangoing like our lives depended on it. The minute and a half it took to get from the lobby to our floor flew by thanks to our make out session, and by the time the elevator arrived on our floor, we’d hardly noticed the soft ‘ding’ indicating our arrival. In fact, it wasn’t until an older woman let out a rather unimpressed “Well!” that Jack and I broke free, lips swollen and out of breath.

“Sorry...” I winced as we passed the grey haired lady scowling at our public affection, but really only feeling half-bad. I couldn’t help but add as Jack pulled me towards our room, dark eyes making it clear he was going to take me right there in the hall if we didn’t find some privacy soon, “We just got married!”

The lady looked at me with a scowl as she shot back sarcastically, “For all the right reasons, I see...

I bit my tongue, wanting to tell her that, yes, we did get married for all the right reasons. It just so happened that we also wanted to rip each other’s clothes off.

Was that such a terrible thing?

But, instead of letting some stranger spoil the moment, I let Jack continue to lead us back to the room at the end of the hall, my heart matching a hummingbird’s wings despite having been intimate with Jack before, though I couldn’t pinpoint why. I mean, Jack and I had been together for nearly three years, and had our fair share of doing the deed.

...so why was I suddenly so nervous now?

I watched as Jack struggled to get the keycard out of his pocket and into the slot above the door handle, a challenge thanks to the growing hard on I’d caused. I would’ve felt bad about that, had it not been for the wetness Jack himself was causing just by fucking looking at me. I could only shiver in anticipation what his actual touch would do.

“Finally!” Jack sighed in relief as he’d finally put the key card into the proper slot and the door beeped softly, indicating the electronic lock was good to go. He turned the handle, pushing the door open widely to reveal the dark room we’d left that morning. Eager to finally get some privacy, it was my turn to take charge as I grabbed Jack’s arm, pulling him inside the hotel room with purpose. The door shut behind us and in a flash we were back on each other, the passion even stronger than before as our hands struggled to blindly shed our partner’s clothes.

It didn’t take long before I was lifted up onto the large king sized bed, and I let my body fall back, our kiss never breaking as Jack fell on top of me.

Jack’s calloused fingers trailed back down to the hem of my dress, but unlike in the elevator, this time I didn’t stop him. I watched as he lifted my skirt to reveal the barely-there lingerie I’d decided to purchase at the last minute when I got my dress. And, if Jack’s mute jaw drop meant anything, I’d say that was a smart call. They were a delicate white lace and just the right amount of slutty in my eyes. I smirked as Jack swallowed hard, “Like it?” I asked.

He cleared his throat softly, licking his lips hungrily as his fingers pressed against the pattern of the delicate fabric. “Uh huh...” He kissed me again as I could feel him begin to pull at my intimate wear. I relished in his desire, lifting my leg so the lingerie could be discarded onto the floor.

He pressed his body against me again, the hardness of his member feeling even more tempting thanks to my lack of undergarments. “Oooh, Jack...” I moaned, letting the electricity in the air entice my entrance as I rocked my hips up towards him.

He let out a groan of his own, matching my movements with ease before rising to his knees, his fingers twisting around his belted pants and soon, those were gone as well. He returned to me then, kissing me with tenderness as I could feel his excitement teasingly close to me. I closed my eyes, preparing myself for him to enter me.

...but then, instead of taking me right away like I’d expected, Jack seemed to really be taking his time, still focusing on getting the rest of our clothes off and relishing in the moment before taking such a plunge.

“Uh...babe?” I began mid-kiss, finding it sweet how he hard he was trying to take his time with this.

He hummed against my skin, dark eyes glancing up toward me in question.

I tentatively continued, “Not that I’m not enjoying this, but we have all night to take our time.” I chuckled softly as I added, “All our lives, in fact.”

His mouth fell, looking disappointed I wasn’t on the same page as him. “But I thought you’d want to take your time, you know considering it’s our honeymoon--”

“And I love you for that, but honestly I would want nothing more than for you to fuck me silly right now.” I told him bluntly, pointing down south with serious eyes. “We can do the slow stuff later, okay?”

He raised a brow. “...you sure?”

I growled, reaching down to grab his bare ass so I could pull him close to me, his hard member grazing my dripping center. He gulped as I asked, my heart beating erratically despite my confidence. “Is that enough of an answer?”

I didn’t have to say another word.

*End of smut***

~*~

“That was...wow...” Jack breathed heavily as we collapsed onto the bed, falling from intense pleasure with hazy smiles.

I glanced up at his sweaty features with a knowing smirk. “I know, right?”

“And I wanted to go slow.”

“Hey, I’m all for going slow for round two.” I laughed lightly against his broad shoulder. “I think that’s all my body can handle now...”

He just nodded tiredly, grabbing my feminine frame and holding me close. I could hear his heartbeat slowly return to normal as we relished in the special moment he and I shared; and sure, we’d had a lot of special moments throughout our relationship, but this, our first time together as husband and wife, was really one for the books. “Sally...I’m really glad you said yes to this whole crazy plan of mine.” Jack muttered, his eyes slightly hooded as he smiled weakly at me.

“I am, too.” I smiled earnestly back, sinking further into his frame with a content sigh. “I mean, I think I was okay with waiting, but deep down there’s just something so...special about getting to have this secret just between us.”

“Well, and ‘lex and Lisa and Cass and Rian and Madison and Matt and Jo.”

I rolled my eyes as I readjusted my previous statement. “Okay, fine. Between us and Alex and Lisa and Cass and--” I stopped mid-sentence, realizing with a pale face that we forgot someone very important. “Oh my God, we forgot to call Zack!”

Jack’s tired eyes widened slightly. “Fuck, you’re right!” He shook his head, mild panic running though him as he thought hard for a second. “Well...we should keep it on the down low from him too, right? I mean, just until the other weddi--”

“No! You should tell him as soon as we all get back to Baltimore!” I adamantly suggested. “I mean, wouldn’t you be super bummed if you missed out on his wedding? Or Rian’s? Or Ale--”
“I get it, babe.” Jack sighed, taking the hand he didn’t have wrapped around me to rub his drooping face with a yawn. “I’ll tell him as soon as I can, ‘kay?”

I nodded, pleased that Jack understood my point. “Okay.”
A beat passed.
“...hey Jack?” I bit my lip, glancing down at my curled body, semi covered with thin white cotton sheets.

“Hmm?” I could feel his voice reverberate against his bare chest.

I rolled over so I could meet his gaze. Then, I stuck my tongue between my teeth in overjoyed giddiness. “I’m your wife.” I giggled at the fact that this was finally our reality.

He smiled at my silliness, giving a small laugh of his own. “You are, Sally.”

“And you’re my husband.” I smiled even wider at the thought of Jack being mine in holy matrimony. You know, even if the ceremony was done in the city of sin.

“That’s kind of how this thing works, yeah.”

I pursed my lips, ignoring Jack’s quip. “I’m now going to be Christina Barakat. Christina...Barakat.” I scrunched up my nose at the name as it seemed so distant from my family name. “Babe, I love you, but I’m still not sure if I wanna take your last name...”

“Well I could take yours.” Jack smirked. “I could change my name to Jack Lawson.”

I let out a hardy laugh at the suggestion. “Jack Lawson? Uh, no...that sounds way too close to Jack Dawson and I’m sorry, but I would never be able to look at you without picturing a baby faced Leonardo DeCaprio.”

He tilted his head. “And what’s wrong with that? The dude’s awesome.”

I raised a brow. “Yeah, but in Titanic he had that tragic death that you know makes me cry every time I see it and that’s all I’ll be able to think of--”

“So no to Lawson, then.” Jack sighed.

I continued to think about my options. “What if...what if I just add a hyphen? You know, like Christina Lawson-Barakat?”

Jack thought about it carefully. “Eh...I don’t know...women who hyphen their names always give off a snotty vibe, don’t they?”

I let my shoulders fall, sighing in exasperation about how quickly this whole name thing became a pain. “...we could always make up a name for the both of us.”

Jack perked up at this. “...like...legally change our last name?”

I shrugged. “It’s an option--”

“I call Skellington!”

I laughed at my new husband’s childish outburst. “Jack, no! That’s--”

“Perfect, right?” Jack replied excitedly, the previous amounts of energy that he’d spent with our love making coming back in folds. “I mean, I’d be Jack Skellington, you’d be Sally Skellington--”

I raised a brow as I couldn’t help but correct, “Well actually, I’d be Christina Skellington, but--”
“And we already have Zero, it’s totally meant to be!”

I scrunched my nose despite the laugh escaping my lips. “I’m not sure about that--”

“Come on, babe, it’d be awesome!” Jack pressed on, even adding a kiss to my lips to try to sway me. “We’d be Jack and Sally for real!”

I bit my lip, admittedly thinking about the idea more than I should’ve. After all, a last name of Skellington was not going to happen. Period. “Jack, we can’t change our name to Skellington. I mean it would be awesome, but I’m pretty sure Tim Burton would kill us if we did. Not to mention all of our fans being super confused. We do have stage names to uphold.”

Jack sighed, his tense body relaxing as he admitted, “Ugh, I guess you’re right...our record labels would probably have a field day. I mean, could you imagine all the corrections they’d have to do?” He chuckled at the thought. “On our rerelease of Don’t Panic!, they’d write lead guitar, Jack Skellington, parenthesis, formerly Barakat.”

And totally not related to the copyrighted character property of Disney.” I added with a laugh. “Yeah, that would be a mess.”

He shook his head, smiling. “Well, just so you know, Skellington or Barakat or whatever last name you do decide on, it doesn’t matter to me, okay?”

I raised an unsure brow. “You won’t get offended if I don’t take your last name?”

He rolled his eyes, scoffing lightly, “Babe, I married you. I don’t own you. I don’t need you to have my last name to know that I have your love.”

I blushed, feeling luckier than ever that Jack was so progressive when it came to things of this nature. He was leaving this all on me, with no pressure at all to take his name. “You’re amazing.” I kissed his cheek softly, my thumb gently massaging his jawline.

His mouth flew up into a lazy half smile as he easily replied, “Love you too, Sally.”

Not much else was said after that. We drifted off to sleep for an hour or two, before I was awoken mid-slumber for another roll in the hay. I happily complied, and as promised, I let Jack take his time for round two. Round three I decided to take control and round four...well that was something so powerful it blew all the other times out of the water.

By the time we wrapped up our weekend in Vegas, our bodies were absolutely spent. I was sore, exhausted, and could barely walk thanks to our celebrations in the bedroom. Jack was also equally exhausted and probably just as sore, though he didn’t show it. Instead he kept a stupid goofy grin plastered to his face the entire time we were at the airport. “You look way too awake for a guy that had sex six times in twelve hours.” I muttered, narrowing my eyes at my husband as we sat in front of our gate, waiting to board.

“Seven times.” Jack corrected, smiling even wider as he added, “We did it in the shower before we left for the hotel, remember?”

I blushed as a few people passed by, one lady giving Jack a strange look for talking openly about such things in public. “Do I remember...” I muttered under my breath.

“I think I’m just high on life, you know?” He continued, sniffing the fresh morning air with enthusiasm. “I got to have an amazing weekend in Vegas, got to hang out with my friends, got to tie the knot with you--”

“Keeping it on the DL, remember?” I rolled my eyes, gesturing subtly to keep his voice lower when talking about the very thing we both agreed we needed to keep a secret.

He gulped, mentally slapping himself. “Oh, right! Sorry, Sally.”

“It’s okay, babe.” I chuckled, letting my head rest on his shoulder. “I understand how tempting it is to just scream it for all to hear, but unless you want our parents to have heart attacks, I think not saying anything would be best.”

He bobbed his head, reluctantly sighing, “I know...but you’re right with the whole wanting to scream it for all to hear thing. I mean,” He leaned in casually so only I could hear, “...is it wrong that I want to show off my wife to the world?”

At hearing him calling me his wife, a shiver ran through me and I gulped, stuttering out a quick response, “N-n-no, that’s not wrong at all.” I cleared my throat, trying hard to focus. “But we have to be careful, alright? We don’t know when someone we know or a--”

“Oh...my...GOSH, you’re Jack Barakat!” A girl, no older than sixteen squealed as she shuffled her feet towards us, all but abandoning the rest of her family walking towards another gate.

“--fans might show up.” I finished with a wide smile. It was a bit forced, I admit, as it was still early in the morning and I was reluctant to leave the innocent bliss that was our honeymoon, but we all knew it had to happen eventually.

“Hey, what’s up!” Jack greeted the young girl happily, despite the fact that she’d strolled right up to us without batting an eye. I couldn’t blame her, of course. It was the ‘celebrity’ mentality. Though I hated putting Jack and I in that category, we were technically more famous than the average joe. Thus, we had to deal with people, such as this girl, randomly walking up to us at any time of day.

“I love All Time Low so much!” The girl gushed, yanking her backpack from her back to grab something out of her bag. “I’ve been to your shows like, three times, and they’re seriously so amazing...” She paused for a second, rifling through her bag a little longer, only to pull out a notebook. “Could I have your autograph?” She offered the black notebook to Jack, who took it with that amazingly patient smile of his.

“Of course!” He told her, scribbling down his signature with expert speed. “There ‘ya go.”

She smiled widely at him, reaching for her notebook. “Thank you so much!” The girl gushed, eying her newly acquired signature with a hint of disbelief that she’d been so lucky to be at the airport in Las Vegas the exact moment her idol was. Briefly, she glanced away long enough from her precious autograph to meet my amused expression. She took a startled step back, having apparently fallen out of her tunnel vision long enough to notice Jack wasn’t alone. “Oh fuck, of course!” she laughed to herself. “Hi, Chris!” She waved softly towards me, glancing down at her converse for a beat before admitting in an apologetic rush, “Sorry, I didn’t see you for a second...I love Midnight too, obviously--” She gestured to the jacket she was wearing which proudly displayed our band’s logo. “...but can I just say you’re way less scary in person than I always imagined?”

“Me? Scary?” I had to laugh at the girl’s assessment of my character, despite her having solid reasoning given my on stage persona. “Like I could be scary hanging around him all the time.” I nodded my head towards Jack with a wide, friendly smile.

Jack raised a brow, adding, “Well that’s not totally true.” He nudged me softly with his shoulder in tease, while I just gave him a curious stare. “What? Babe, you’ve gotta admit, you can be super scary when you want to be.”

I just shrugged innocently. “Come on, if anyone’s scary, it’s Jo.”

The fan in front of us made her eyes widen. “Really? Is she mean?” she asked, her shoulders dropping with disappointment. “I mean, I was really looking forward to seeing you guys next year, and--”

I shook my head quickly to dissipate her worry as . “No, she’s not...” I pursed my lips. “She’s not mean. She’s just...a lot to handle, sometimes.” I stumbled out, grumbling to myself as I realized that hadn’t really put Jo in the best light. “But she’s great with fans, I promise. She really loves talking to people who connect with our music.”

My words seemed to ease the poor girl, at least a little. “Oh...okay, cool.” she bobbed her head, opening her mouth to speak when she was abruptly halted.

“Vanessa!” an older man, I assumed her father, shouted towards her to grab her attention. “Wrap it up! We’re going to be late!”

The girl cursed under her breath, twiddling her fingers a few times before daringly handing her notebook to me. “Can I get your autograph as well? Before my dad kills me, that is?”

“We always have time for our fans.” I smiled softly at the nervous girl, taking the notebook from her so I could sign my name just above Jack’s. “There you go,” I smirked as I dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s before finally handing the notebook back to her.

She smiled broadly. “Thank you so much!” She clasped her hands in pure joy. “You guys are the best, truly--”

Vanessa!” Her father repeated, this time more firmly.

She rolled her eyes, backing away from us slowly. “I’ll catch your shows next time you’re in town. You’re touring in spring, right?”

I shrugged, honestly unsure when touring would begin exactly thanks to the wedding we still had to plan. “Maybe. But we’ll tour in the summer, for sure.”

“Cool.” She grinned, now nearing her family, all of whom looked rather used to their daughter running off to freak out over random musicians. “Well, thanks again!” She waved widely before running off to gush to her family about her experience. “Stacy, you would not believe who I just met!”

Notes

YAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!! THEY"RE MARRIED!!!!!

I now get why the safeword was needed! I'm so waiting for Derek to just show up and ruin even more, though. I can totally imagine Zack tackling him and Alex trying to join in xD even though there's no way for them to know what he looks like.

Derek is an asshole for sure. Good on Christina for punching him. Please, please, please let there be a Barakat baby soon! Jack would be such a good dad, and she would be a great mom. They need some undiluted happiness after the sadness they went through with losing Melody.
