Alex POV

"Is Andy coming over?"

Lily asked this everyday for the past few months. At first it didn't bother me. I should have brought it up before. It's just everytime I said yes, she'd wince as if it had caused some sort of pain, if it was a no, she'd do a little sigh of relief. I wasn't sure if Lily had realised I'd noticed. I wasn't sure why she'd be uncomfortable with him.

"Oh hey... I'm off to Sophie's."

When Andy showed up, that was her response. I needed her to tell me what was going on.

"Lil," I began as she opened the fridge. "Andy might come over later."

Lily's eyes widened. She placed the cup, she'd just pulled out the fridge, on the counter. "Oh ok, what time? I'll see if-"

"It's ok to not like him. Don't hide it by running off to Sophie. I get that she's your friend but I'm your boyfriend and you should tell me if you hate one of my friends."

"I...I don't hate him, Alex."

"Really? How come you disappear every time he's here?"

Lily glanced at me and back to the cup, then sighed. "The smug 'I'm checking you out' stare makes me feel uncomfortable."

"What!" I blurted.

"Yea Alex, can't believe you haven't noticed. I'm not being rude. Hey Andy seems great but I can't deal with all the staring."

Right now I should be on her side, however I was stupid and muttered. "Zach stares at you too."

"Not like Andy," she raised her voice.

I bolted from the bar stool. "Yea you would side with Zach," I spat, which immediately regretted as her eyes began to glisten. I waited for the tears.

However, Lily just stared at me and walked off. I felt terrible. I shouldn't have brought up Zach like that, he liked Lily but not that way. I've caught him look at her a couple of times. It wasn't exactly a long hard state.

I ran out, understanding I was being stupid, grabbed Lily's arm to pull her into my arms. That didn't go very well, she yanked her arm out of my grip.

"Get off me Alex!"

I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I'll talk to Andy if you want me to."

"Do whatever," she huffed. "I'm going to Sophie's before...yea..."

"Well done Alex," I mumbled, as Lily stormed off and slammed the front door behind her. "Way to be the supportive boyfriend."

I couldn't just stay home after what Lily had said. I was now sat opposite Andy as I took a sip of the beer he'd given me. I studied him and then blurted out a question that made him look guilty. "You stare at Lily?"

"Is that why you're here?"

"Do you?" I raised my voice, he glanced at me for a second and to his lap.

"She's gorgeous Alex."

Even though that wasn't exactly an answer it was enough for me to get all worked up. "Dude, she's my girlfriend."

"I know," he replied, very calmly, I might add.

"We're having a kid. Lay off her. Seriously... Wow. I... See you later. I need to apologise."

"No," Andy yelled. "I should be the one saying sorry."

"I honestly don't think she wants to see you."

"Alex, I'm leaving tonight and want to make things right before I go."

"You can try," I sighed. Andy's been an awesome friend to me. I can't be mad at him for that long. "She's at Sophie's."

Lily's POV

Urrggh! I couldn't believe Alex had acted like that. He should be supporting me, not bitching about Zach, which is absolutely rediculous. Alex needs to get his jealousy under control.

"You look pissed off."

I quickly looked up to find Sophie with a concerned stare.

"That's because I am."

"Why," she asked as we walked inside of her house.

"Alex is being super jealous instead of supportive. I told him about Andy and he...he brought Zach up, which turned up the jealousy."

Sophie opened her mouth and closed it at a loud bang on the door, she ran to answer it. "Lily it's for you," Sophie shouted.

I made my way to the door in hope of it being Alex. "I need to talk to you," Andy's deep calm voice told me it wasn't. I glanced up, into his blue eyes.

"Lily," he leaned in closer, lowered his voice. "I'm sorry."

"Is that it?"

Andy raised his eyebrow. "I guess so."

"Ok," I began to walk off to get stopped by his next words.

"Please, I want to make things better. I didn't mean for this to happen."

I sighed. Andy seemed to be making an effort and I liked that. "Fine but I don't want to go far with you." Harsh? Yea it was but right now I didn't care.

Andy waved behind him. "Err, is Sophie's front grassy bit too far?" he smirked.

"Depends," I replied, barging passed. He followed and we both sat down on the ground. "You know you're very beautiful right?" I looked up at him as he continued. "I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Please Lily, I'm leaving tonight for a tour. I want to know we're OK with each other. Alex is pissed at himself. Don't blame him for my actions."

That sounded incredibly sencere. Andy actually meant it. Now it was my turn to feel bad. I should have brought it up before. "I'm sorry for acting-"

"No, I'm sorry. You don't have to be. Are we good?"

I nodded and smiled. "Yea. I've got to go home. Ale-"

"Would it be too far for me to take you?"

"I don't know," I began as we both stood up, well I tried but Andy had to help me. My bump was getting in the way. "Let's go and I'll let you know."

I walked into the living room to find Alex hunched over, strumming his guitar. "That's pretty," with the sound of my voice he sprung off the stool, placed the guitar down. "I'm really sorry."

"It's ok."

"No it isn't," he replied. "I'm such a douche. Jealous of my friends. I shouldn't be... I feel so stupid..."

"Totally stupid, you know Zach doesn't stare at me. I...we still love you."

Alex glanced down at my belly and smiled. "I love you both too." He pulled me into his arms and held on tight. We were like that for some time, then he broke the silence. "I only said that because I was annoyed. I will apologise to Zach. He does love you a lot though."

"It's not the type that you should turn an evil shade of green by."

Alex smiled, almost laughed. "I know babe."

Finally a new chapter haha. It might feel a bit fast paced, I wanted to upload something as I felt bad about not updating as often. I'll still keep this on a break but I'm still working on it and will update when I can.
