I Know It Sounds Crazy

(1/1)

"Jacky come find me!" I yelled excitedly, hiding behind a tree. This was a normal thing for Jack and I, hide and go seek games on my family's annual camping trip. It happened every November for one weekend, when the mountains were cool but not too cool. Jack started coming with us 3 years ago, after we started dating, and he has loved it ever since. He actually planned this trip out with my dad, budgeting and working out details such as food and activities while we were gone. He also handled finding a place for our dog, Simba. I let Jack name him after we watched the Lion King one night and it was no doubt he picked that name. Back then little Simba was a tiny puppy but now he came up to my hip and his long black German Shepherd hair filled our house. It would be clean when we got back though, seeing as we left him with Jack's best friend Alex. I would have objected if I didn't know Alex had two dogs of his own and knew how to take care of them, but seeing as I know this I was pleased to let him dogsit for us.

Peeking out from behind the tree I saw the back of his leather jacket. Running my eyes down my boyfriend's body I realized myself lusting over him and hid back behind the tree, accidentally snapping a branch under my feet. I could here Jack coming for me now and covered my eyes. "Gotcha!" he said happily, wrapping his arms around my middle. I shook my head and pouted, "If I can't see you, you can't see me." He laughed and brought his hands up to remove my hands from my face, but I still kept my eyes squeezed shut. I felt his lips on mine and as hard as I tried to resist the urge, I couldn't just not kiss him back. My hands were soon around his neck and his cupping my face. Hearing coughing from our side, I pulled away from Jack and saw my sister about 10 feet away from us. "Sorry to interrupt you guys but dad has the fire set up for dinner" she said sheepishly, kicking the dirt under her feet and blushing. My sister was so awkward around couples it was sort of adorable, seeing as she was only ten. When we nodded she walked away and Jack grabbed a hold of my hand, "Let's go before your dad takes away our privileges to sleep in the same tent" Letting out a small giggle I nodded in agreement and let him lead me to the circular fire pit.

The fire was warm as the sky darkened, our dinner already eaten. Only Jack and I were left sitting around the fire, roasting marshmallows for s'mores. Jack loved them and the s'more making became a sort of tradition for us. Jack took his stick out of the fire, calmly blowing on his marshmallow to stop the fire. I took mine out and did the same, grabbing the crackers and chocolate. Once our s'mores were eaten and everything was packed up, Jack grabbed my hand. "Let's take a walk" he said leading me to the lake. I smiled up at him as we walked across the shoreline. "Jacky, do you think I'm pretty?" I asked quietly. He stopped walking and turned to look down at me. There was always a noticeable height difference between us, about 8 inches or so. Bringing his free hand up he cupped half of my face in his palm. "I think you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and nothing will ever change that." he whispered. I nodded, pulling him into a tight hug and burying my head in his chest. I had something to tell him, and I wanted to make sure he would still feel the same about me.

Pulling my head off of his chest I looked up at him, "Jacky I have something to tell you." He looked down at me worried and I started getting nervous. "Babe tell me" jack pleaded, eyes never leaving mine. Instead of telling him I just pulled one of his hands from around my waist and placed it on my abdomen. He looked confused for a moment than let out a small gasp, "Are we.. are we having a baby?" I nodded wordlessly and he broke out into a huge smile. I looked at him confused, "You're not mad?" He shook his head, "No way! We're making a barakitty!" he said smiling like crazy. I laughed and nodded, pulling him into a hug. He returned it, pulling away shortly to lean down and kiss my stomach. Holding back tears I smiled, knowing everything would be alright.

-- 1 year later --

I looked across the room to Jack and our son Bennett, staring at them in awe. Ever since Jack had found out that I was pregnant he had never left my side and now that Bennett is born he is completely obsessed. Currently the Ravens game was playing on the living room tv where the two of them sat across from. Bennett was sitting on Jack's lap, wearing a small Flacco jersey with his eyes glued to the tv. Jack was matching our son, eyes glued to the tv as well. I smiled when Jack cheered for the touchdown and Bennett smiled, he was such a daddy's boy it wasn't even funny. Making my way to the couch I sat with my three favorite guys, seeing as Simba was on the floor. He wasn't as aggressive to Bennett as I thought he would be, which was really good. He actually acted as some sort of protector over my raven haired baby.

Jack smiled at me when he saw me sit down and reached for my hand. I took his softly, twining our fingers together and leaning my head on his shoulder. These are the moments I love. The moments where I feel complete in life and that I have all I could ever need. Because it is true, everything I could every need is summed up in these 3 body that are situated around me. And I know that with Jack, for the rest of my life I will have these moments as well as many more to come.
