How did we end up here??

Time flies when you're making memories

It had been almost six months since our first album dropped. A lot had happened in that time too. The response to the album was amazing. People I didn't even know were aware that we existed were contacting us saying they loved it. Some of my favorite band members had even promoted the cd on their twitters which was a whirlwind for me.

We had been playing a lot of shows in Arizona, and few on the west coast that we could land. Going to different states was my favorite part. Seeing these people so in love with what were doing and just getting to say hello made my entire day.

We were also contacted by Hopeless Records in regards to a record deal. I don't think I've ever driven to California so fast in my life. We accepted and were immediately booked on our first tour, with All Time Low. That was the coolest part of it all to me. One of my favorite bands was going to be the headliner of a tour I WAS ON. I couldn't believe it.

But all good things have a price. When we got the record deal I was forced to quit my job and start doing the band full time. Music took full control of my life. I didn't sign up for the second semester of college and dropped out behind my families back.

When my parents found out it resulted in a huge yelling match where I was kicked out of the house and moved in with Ryan for a while before landing my own apartment. That was four months ago, I haven't spoken to anyone in my family since.

I was happy though. I was preparing for my first full tour and it was only a few days away. Ryan showed up at my apartment and walked into my room. I seriously regret giving him a key sometimes.

"Hey kid." He said and sat on my bed. We all called each other kid, don't ask us why I don't think we even know. "I can see that you put off packing to that last minute, what else is new."

I glared at him. He was right but still no need to point out my procrastination. "Well, better late then never." I said zipping up my last bag. I smiled and sat next to him. "Are you actually ready for this? Like it's going to insane! There's going to be so many people and not necessarily there for us."

He laughed and just looked at me. "This is what a band does. They tour with bigger bands and steal their fans! It's all apart of the circle of life." He stood up and grabbed one of my bags.

"Come on, we have a plane to catch."

I grabbed my other two bags and followed him out of my room and out of my apartment. We got to his house and shockingly were the only ones there. "Where's everyone else?" I looked at him completely confused. Something felt off and it bothered me.

"They called an Uber already and left. I want to talk to you before we leave. It's important." Shit. What did I do? Was he replacing me days before my dreams came true? I didn't now where this was going and honestly didn't want to. "I want to talk to you about well, your health. I know you've been really stable lately and that makes me so happy. I just want you to know things might get rough out there. I want you to know if you start feeling upset I am the first person I want you to tell, and I mean tell immediately. You can tell the other guys but just know they will tell me. I care about you a lot Amy, you're the closest friend I have ever had. So just remember we are here for you, okay?" I gulped and nodded before a smiled forced it's way out. I was doing great. But sometimes life attacks you. I knew why he was worried. He knew my past. I just smiled at him and hugged him and we went on our way.
