Rose's POV

"Hey mum." I said as I walked into the kitchen and kissed her cheek.
"Hey sweetie." Mum said and looked at me.
I looked through the post and found a letter addressed to me.
"Sweetie." Mum said and I looked at her.
"If you didn't get in then don't worry, you'll find somewhere better to go." She said with a smile.
"But its the best dance school, just if I don't get in then it feels like I can't do what I dream of doing." I said and looked down.
"Well you better open it then and find out." Mum said.
I nodded and opened it and quickly read it and got my answer.
"Fuck yeah I've fucking done it!" I said loudly and ran over to mum and showed her the letter.
"My baby has all grown up." Mum chuckled and pulled me into a hug.
I chuckled.
"Oh, I have to go as I'm meeting Josh at the stake park." I said and grabbed my board from the back door.
"Is that wheelchair Josh?" Mum asked.
"Yes mum its wheelchair Josh also known as my best friend." I said and took my jacket off along with my top.

"Rose what have I told you on doing that!" Mum scolded.
"What? Their just tits, we're both ladies here." I said and put a shirt on and rolled the sleeves up.
"People could be looking in." Mum said seriously.
"Then they can see my extremely tiny tits and my sexy six pack I'm getting." I said and mum just chuckled and rolled her eyes at me.
I tied my hair up and mum noticed my neck piercing I got the other day.
"Don't let your father see that on the back of your neck." Mum said seriously.
"Why? Its no different than having all these ear rings and streached ears." I said and sat on the table and sorted my make-up out.
"You know how he feels about them." Mum said.
"And this is where I say fucks aren't given and I'll see you later." I said and grabbed my bag and stake board and went to meet Josh.

"Joshie." I said as I staked over to him and jumped of my board and hugged him from his wheelchair.
"Rosie." Josh chuckled and returned my hug.
"How's my favourite person?" He asked and looked at me.
"Well not only am I getting into the best college in the U.S but I found out I have 3 older half brothers." I said quickly which made Josh look at me confused.
"Josh, I'm finally getting out of this shit hole." I said and Josh looked down and smiled.
"Hey, I'm going to make sure we talk all the time." I said.
"No, you should be doing what you want to do and I'll find something to do." He said and looked at the ramps.
"Still no feeling then?" I asked.
Josh shook his head.
"The doctors are saying that because its been a year and still have no feeling in my lower back or legs that I might have to accept the fact that I'll never walk again." He said and looked down.
"Josh I'm so sorry. If.." I started but Josh stopped me.
"Its not your fault okay. That's the downside to this sport is that if you hurt yourself then you just have to live with your injury." He said.
I sighed and nodded.

"So tell me about your brothers then." Josh said.
"Well there's Eric who's the eldest and his girlfriend and daughter are so pretty Josh, I'm literally jealous of their beauty. Get this feeling that you don't mess with Eric though. Freddie is the second eldest, he's gay and the quiet one out of them. Then there's Alex, he has serious problems but he has his boyfriend Jack who looks out for him." I said.
"Sounds like a right mayhem." Josh chuckled.
"My mum walked out on them 6 years ago. I didn't even know she had them. It wasn't until I saw her sat with them the other day than it clicked." I sighed.
"Oh shit. Was their dad involved?" He asked.
"Dunno, they don't talk about him so I'm guessing he's out of the picture." I said and looked down.
"Now you have someone who will have your back when cripple here cant do nothing." He chuckled.
"Any how I have to go home." Josh said and I got up and grabbed my board.
"See you later then." I said quietly and walked off and messed around on the ramps for ages until dad phones telling me I had to go home.
