Shut Up And Kiss Me Now
chapter 2
Damn, this girl, can't find nobody like her
She is everything I want and I'd do anything for her
I'd beg, beg, and beg
Make me believe that there is no one else I need

I had to use the truck when I brought kegs to Zack’s house for obvious reasons, my motorcycle can’t really do that kind of work.
I pulled up into the driveway that was already filled with cars, and there were cars lined up all the way down the rich street of houses that were the size of mansions.
His house was a massive brick Georgian- style house with ornate cast-iron gate blocking the gravel driveway. His perfectly manicured lawn might as well been a green carpet, completely spotless with no fallen leaves even though it was November.
The ground was pulsating from the loud music blasting from inside the house.
I tried to ignore the last 10 texts that Zack had sent me since the end of the school day. He’s paying me to bring him beer, not to be his fucking pen pal.
Like he was waiting for me to arrive, Zack and his posse of football jocks exited the house.
They all had nearly the exact same body type, fucking huge. Tall with large, muscled arms, broad shoulders and rock hard abs underneath their essential, black and red letterman jackets.
They all look like chippendales honestly, they were all really fucking hot but I didn’t let it affect me.
Zack walked at the front of the jocks, hopefully with my money in his hands. He was the captain of the football team, and considered dreamy by just about every skirt, and even helmets roaming the halls of Dulaney High School.
Unfortunately for the girls, Zack was shockingly gay.
I know, kind of unheard of having the captain of the football team being as straight as a circle.
He tried to hook up with me once at a party before he had even came out to anyone, he was obviously very drunk, but so was I.
Luckily, nothing really happened, we both made out for a while until I got side tracked, basically I remembered that Stella was wearing a tight ass dress and I wanted to gaze at the sight.
Predictable me.
Now I usually try to stay away from guys like Zack, or any jocks like him for that matter. He was just too much of a public figure, not only captain of the football team but he was the lead homecoming king candidate, and basically all around douche.
“Hey Barakat!” Zack called out to me, “Where have you been? I thought you’d be here earlier!”
“Hey Zack,” I decided to ignore his question.
“You got it right?” he asked me, narrowing his eyes.
“Yeah, I’m not here for your crappy party, dude. It’s in the trunk.” I answered, leaning on the side of my car with my arms crossed, staring at Zack who was in front of me, waiting for him to hand over my money so I could get out of this hell hole
Thankfully Cass and Rian ended up going here, so my deal with Patrick would be settled.
“Nice,” Zack responded, watching his posse open my trunk and lift up the kegs.
Zack and I weren’t great friends. We aren’t enemies, he isn’t that big of a dick compared to all his other friends, at times he could be a sweet guy. Also shocking.
I really don’t do close friendships well. Rian and Cass are pretty much as much as I can possibly take in the friend department. Attachments to other people are a liability.
I orbited around Zack’s clique, the good looking, athletic ,rich kids that hogged all the popularity and attention, along with many others that I make deals with on a daily basis, but none of them were my actual friends.
“You gonna stick around?” Zack asked me.
“Like I said, I’m not here for your crappy party. Just waiting for you to give me my money.”
“Right,” he nodded, and fumbled through his pocket and pulled out a thick stack of twenties.and handed it to me. I turned around to leave but he stopped me.
“Wait, Barakat. Uh.. I need to talk to you about something else too.” Zack spoke, making me turn back around and give him a weird look.
“Yeah?” I asked, suddenly interested on what made the confident jock fumble on his words.
He looked back over his shoulder making sure his buddies were gone and sighed.
“I need you to get me a boy.”
I couldn’t hold back a snort of laughter, making him glare at me and his cheeks reddened from embarrassment, but I gestured for him to keep talking.
ZACK MERRICK?!? He needs help getting someone to date him. Wow.
“Okay, his name is Alex Gaskarth. He’s new here, he just moved from England-”
“Ooh, so you got a thing for British accents?” I couldn’t help but make fun of him a little.
The people who usually ask me to set them up with people, are nerds, or just plain weirdos.
I didn’t think Zack needed help in dating.
“Shut up,” he glared at me.
“Nobody moves into school in November, in senior year-”
“He’s a junior.” he corrected me, I cocked an eyebrow.
“Younger guy, huh?” I scoffed.
“He takes all senior classes because he’s like wicked smart.” Zack told me, proud of that one tiny detail that he had about this new kid.
I was shocked I didn’t hear about him, it was probably sometime early this week where I was busy trying to get some kid to take the fall for some prank the basketball team wanted to pull on their coach. I usually know about all the new school news from Cass the day of.
“Good for him, he sounds like a total nerd.” I thought outloud.
“Jack, I’m fucking serious.” Zack’s voice hardened but it didn’t phase me like it did with the geeks he’d pick on.
“Can’t you get your own dates, captain of the football team. Did you even try asking him out?” I rolled my eyes at his stupidity. It’s like he didn’t even try.
“Yeah, he turned me down.” Zack shrugged, I bit back my laughter.
Oh buddy… he forgot about the very first rule in the book of being gay.
Don’t fall for a straight guy.
“I just want you to get him to like me.” Zack went on.
“Wow that desperate, huh?” I scoffed. I doubt the kid is even that good looking.
Sure the british accent is always hot but Zack will get over it in a week.
“You can tell that he’s really shy-”
“I can’t just force someone to like you, dude. Sorry Zack, the kid is most likely straight.” I told him, his glared at me with anger filling in his eyes.
Someone had to tell him.
“You can’t just tell me no like this!” he argued.
“Watch me!” I countered, getting into my car and driving away from the rejected jock’s house.

Oh my god I love this so much! I really really really love how Jacks dad is a piece of shit but you didn't have to go into detail about him getting beaten and stuff yet you gave the perfect image of a deadbeat asshole of a dad (in my opinion) and I just love this altogether. I can't wait to find out more about Alex!
