This Ride Is A Wild One

The couple lay in bed, Jack’s hand running through Amy’s hair as her head lay on his chest. She hummed happily, trailing patterns on his stomach.“Right, come on, we need to get up” Jack stood earning a whine of protest from Amy.
“Nooo, I wanna stay here all day” she pouted.
“Well too bad, I made plans with Alex for the day” he grinned.
“And you want me to third wheel?” She laughed.
“Now how would you be third wheeling?”
“Have you not noticed how you and Alex act. You’re more of a couple than we are. Jalex… I ship it” she laughed throwing Jack a wink.
“Whatever” he chuckled to himself gathering together some clothes.

Alex stood outside Jack and Amy’s temporary apartment leaning on the hood of his car. He sighed looking at the time.
“Late as always” he mumbled.
“ALEX” he heard the female voice, his head shooting up, looking for the source. Amy came running from the doorway, arms wide open as Jack stumbled behind locking the door. The air was knocked out of his lungs as Amy threw herself at his chest, arms tightly wrapping around him.
“Hey you” he smiled kissing the top of her head.
“Long time no see” he chuckled as she looked up, grinning at him.
“How’s the album going?”
“Really well! I’m so proud of this one. We’re releasing the first single soon. Which reminds me, we have a video shoot next week” he looked to Jack who had clearly forgotten himself.
“Oh shit I forgot about that. Hey Amy, you ever been on the set of a music video before?”
“Do I look like I have?” she laughed, rolling her eyes.
“Okay Miss sassy pants. Just get in the car before we’re late”
“Ooh, where are we going?” she grinned as she buckled up in the backseat.
“Have you not told her?” Alex asked looking at Jack.
“Nah, I was gonna make it a surprise”
“Jack come on, I hate surprises, just tell me” she begged as Alex started the car and pulled away from the apartment. Jack just sat in the passenger seat staring straight ahead, smirking to himself. He flinched when something hit him in the back of the head, he looked up as an empty bottle dropped to his feet.
“Come on you ass, tell me” Amy cried from behind him. She leaned forward flicking his ear.
“Ow ow okay woman!” Jack groaned holding his ear.
“We’re going paintballing!”

“We’re almost there” her head shot up looking ahead at the road.
“Good” she muttered.
“What exactly is your plan when we get there?”
“We’ll wait it out for a while. I don’t care if it takes months, we’ll wait for the perfect opportunity” she manically grinned.
“Oh boys” she sat up straight gaining the attention of her male acquaintances.
“Don’t you just love happy endings? Because that’s exactly what this story is gonna have. A happy ending for all of us” she grinned playing with the ring sitting on her finger. Not once had she removed it since the day she acquired it. It rightfully belonged to her. In her eyes anyway.

“YOU’RE CHEATING” Jack shouted as a paintball hit him right in the back, as he ran for cover. Jack did not expect Alex and Amy to team up against him, leaving him completely vulnerable on his own. He heard the pair laughing to his right as he dodged yet another ambush of pellets. He ran his way swiftly through the course, only turning to see where the other two where. He lay low in a shed, checking his surroundings for any sings of them. He gasped as he was pulled backwards, landing on his back, staring up at Amy through her mask. Alex then came running in.
“Now finish him Amy!” He grinned, prematurely celebrating.
“Sure thing” she grinned. She stood, gun pointed at Jack as he lay helpless on the floor. Jack’s hands immediately covered his face as he heard her shoot, yet he felt nothing. He uncovered his face and laughed at the sight before him. Amy had turned and unloaded her remaining ammo all on Alex. Alex stood there, an array of colours splatted on his abdomen.
“TRAITOR” he dramatically cried. Amy laughed as she extended her arm towards Jack, pulling him to his feet. He removed his head gear, smiling at his girlfriend.
“Thanks” he pulled her into a kiss.
“See Gaskarth, this is what happens when you try and attack me” he laughed as Alex flipped him off.
“Let’s go give this stuff back and get out of here”
“Guys, can we go to the beach? I wanna sit and watch the sunset, as cheesy as it sounds” Amy smiled, grabbing onto Jack’s hand.
“Sure” they both agreed.

“So how are you holding up?" Alex asked Amy, the sounds of waves crashing in front of them. The three sat on a blanket on the sand, watching as the sky turned from blue to different shades of pinks, reds and oranges. Amy subconsciously grabbed onto jack’s hand.
“I’m doing better. I’m still kind of paranoid, but who wouldn’t be? I suppose it could be worse” she shrugged.
“Well I’m glad to hear that” Alex smiled. Alex sat staring at her face as she leaned her head on Jack’s shoulder, a soft smile on her face. He could never tell Amy how he felt about her. He really did love her. More than just a friend. But there was nothing he could do about it. He just had to get on with it and try and push his feelings away, even if it was eating away at him.
“I love you guys. Thank you for being there for me. I don't know what I'd do without the both of you" Amy smiled, pulling both boys into her for an awkward triple side hug.

I have returned! I refuse to let this story die! So I saw ATL twice last week and I met Jack and I also caught his guitar pic. Plus I'm seeing them again this Saturday and I'm meeting all of them. Wish me luck because I know I'm gonna be such an awkward fuck.
