Reconnected

Cass had a plan. Eve knew that her and Rian were dating. What she didn’t know was that Rian was one of Alex’s best friends. She figured that if she could convince Eve to come to one of All Time Low’s band practices then maybe, just maybe, Eve and Alex could finally become friends again.

“Eve. Eve, wait up!” Alex yelled from down the hall. Eve heard him, but chose to ignore him and continued walking.

“Damn it Eve” Alex muttered to himself and started sprinting to catch up with her. He didn’t realize just how much he missed her until he saw her in English.

Eve missed him to. How could she not? He was the only person that actually wanted to be her friend. Then he went to private school, and her public school, where she was picked on nearly every day. What bugged her most is that he hadn’t even tried to stay in contact with her, even though she was trying her hardest. After a month she began to see that he really didn’t care, and it hurt.

“Eve, why are you avoiding me?” He asked her, out of breath.

“It sucks, doesn’t it” She threw out still walking fairly quickly.

“What do you mean?” He said completely confused.

“Seriously, Alex. Do you not remember how hard I tried to maintain our friendship in middle school? I called you multiple times. My mom even took me to your house. You never once answered” She yelled before walking away as fast as she could without running.

As much as she missed him, she couldn’t deny the fact that she was mad that he threw away so many years of friendship. They’d known each other since they were little, their parents were even best friends. It really hurt her that her best friend didn’t seem to give a crap.
