Knots in the Ties

Enid's First Day of School

“I don’t want to go to school,” Enid pouted. “I want to stay home.”
“I’m sorry, but you’re going to have to go at some point, and it’s better when everyone is the same age as you,” I tried telling her.
“But that means that I’ll be away from you two.”
“You won’t be gone all that long,” Jack said. “Besides, don’t you want to learn how to cast spells and make new friends.”
“Yeah, but you won’t be there. Who’s going to protect me?”
“The school teachers will,” I said, “and if something happens, we’ll come running to your rescue.”
“Plus, the friends you make can help protect you too,” Jack added.
“Ok,” Enid sighed. “I’ll go.”
“Bye,” I said before kissing her head. “I love you.”
“See you after school,” Jack said before he did the same thing. “I love you.”
“I love you both too.” Jack cast a spell to teleport her to school.
“I miss her already,” Jack frowned.
“It’s ok.” I embraced him in a hug. “She’ll be back.”
“Yeah, but she’s growing up. Everyone always says that they grow up fast, but you don’t really see it until you actually have a kid of your own.”
“Yeah, but that’s just why we have to make all of these remaining kid years last.”
Ever since we were dragged into this world of magick, everything has been different for us. We’re still in All Time Low, but we don’t tour as much since our daughter is way more important now. We record as much as we can, so we only have one world wide tour after we come out with a CD. The fans weren’t able to know about our lives exactly, but we did tell them that Jalex is real and that we have a daughter. Although we told them that we adopted her.
Rian and Zack are doing fine as well as our crew. Since they were in our lives before all of this, they are allowed to visit us just like we are allowed to visit them. We try to go into our old world as much as we can, but it’s just not ours anymore. Eventually the time is going to come where we don’t leave at all, our friends and family will just visit us when they can, and All Time Low will be over. We’re going to try to make it last, but it can’t last forever. It’s sad, but that is life.
Our daughter is amazing. She has Jack’s eye shape and hair color and my nose and eye color. She’s really hyper just like Jack and loves Home Alone, so I’m stuck watching it even more now. She loves to sing just like me, and we have days where we just sit down and sing our favorite songs. I’m really happy she’s more of a tomboy. She’s never been into any of that princess stuff, so she sings Blink. Enid loves space as much as I do. She truly is the perfect mix of Jack and I.
Later that day, Enid came back home with a huge smile on her face. Jack and I just looked at each other with the same look on our face. She came up to me, and I picked her up.
“I’m guessing that you had a great day at school.”
“It was awesome!”
“Did you make any new friends?”
“Yeah. There was this one boy named Aeolus. He’s really funny and nice. He gave me a cookie!”
“He did?”
“Yeah! We’re going to hang out again tomorrow. He’s my best friend.”
“Maybe he can come over one day,” Jack suggested.
“That would be awesome! Maybe I can go over to his place too!”
“Sure.”
I just looked at Jack, and it was like if he could read my mind. It was really going to suck when that time of her life happened. The time of...boys.

Notes

Sorry this took so long! I haven't been able to get on te computer in the library since there has been a sub. I'm actually in English right now.
Anyway, this is the last chapter. The next thing will be the epilogue and the prequel for the sequel.
Hope you enjoyed this story, and I hope you come back for the sequel about their daughter!

I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.

Well, Alice-Anna St. is the street my other favorite band is named after, Alesana.
Our school doesn't do any competition, but I think Newton Falls which is a town over and where my dad lives got to learn how to play All the Small Things. My friend Shelby told me since she's in band, and I was like gurl, why couldn't I have gotten to play stuff like that. Our school isn't that large either. In fact, it's a school for Leavittsburg and Braceville with kids from Warren, Champion, and Newton Falls kids. The only big thing our school has ever done is have our basketball team go to state last year, which I didn't care for since I hate LaBrae anyway.
Your guy's band sounds a lot more fun. Hell, if it wasn't for me being so much into art class, I'd still be in it if we did stuff like that. The closest fun stuff is sometimes they get to go to New York if they have money, but mostly Cedar Point.

Really? that sounds kinda boring :P we always played something new and different, so that people would actually show up to class and played the competition songs in practice when the whole band was together. Like when we were in gr.10 the band I was in, was invited to come play in Disney land, so we learned lots of the Disney songs and the person that used to do the voice of Donald duck was our adjudicator and it was so awesome to meet him.
And sure it's not cause of ATL ;) I toatly would to if I could haha

I actually just looked it up because I was pretty sure that universities are just bigger and that's what it is. A university is like a bunch of colleges together. Colleges have more specific degrees and universities have a bunch more. I plan on going to a university, and I sooo don't just want to go to the University of Baltimore because of ATL. Oh no..... Alice-Anna St. is in Baltimore too. Lol
We learn scales when we first start learning the instrument. There aren't really any to actually tune like a guitar, so we never learned that, but sometimes they will see if we'd play our flutes in tune. I only had that happen once, while my sister's class had that happen more because she had a different teacher. Although, scales we didn't focus on. Once year they were just used as warm ups. We were just told how they work, and so it wasn't something we focused on. Our school mostly just does the songs that they have to do for the next concert over and over again. Then sometimes we'd go into the book as well to practice, but they don't do that much anymore. Although this year they will have weekly tests on new notes which is different since we have never had any tests at all in band.
