Knots in the Ties
The Plan for Tomorrow
I woke to find myself in an empty room. The walls were made of stone of some kind and the bed that I was laying on was made of straw. I started to panic.
What happened after I passed out?
Where am I?
Where is Alex?
I started to calm down when I heard his voice outside of the room. There was no door, but he was out of my view. It sounded like he was talking to Luna about something. I watched as he came into my room with a smile on his face when he saw that I was awake.
“Good morning, baby,” he said as he came over to the foot of the straw bed and sat down.
“Where are we?”
“We’re in an ancient temple. It was one of the first built by the witches. This whole area was home to them before they met other groups and had to expand. It’s in the mountains, but I don’t know which continent we are in. It could be Asia. I truly think we are in China. It looks like one of the temples that monks lived in.”
“Why are we here? Is it because the demons can’t get to us?”
“They can’t get to us here, but that’s not why we are here. I was just talking to Luna about it. She believes that the key that opens this book is in the mountains to the east. We’ll have to fly over there, but it’s not all that far away. Once we are over there, we are going to enter a temple that is protected by very powerful magick. Legend has it that only the ones of light and dark can enter.”
“So we will have to enter by ourselves?” Alex nodded. “How are we going to fly over there? Luna doesn’t seem like the girl to be flying on a broomstick.”
“That’s why I’m pretty positive we’re in China. The dragons look more like the asian ones.”
“Dragons?”
Even though I was the being of light and there were witches and demons, I just couldn’t believe that there were dragons too. What other kinds of creatures where out there? My mind started thinking of unicorns. That statement really does make sense since they probably are real.
“We’re going to fly there tomorrow. We wanted to make sure that you got enough rest,” Alex told me. “Cymbeline is making dinner right now.”
“What is she making?”
“I have no idea, but it sounded asian. For all I know we could be eating gnomes.” I laughed. “Luna was actually telling me about all the creatures that exist. I couldn’t believe how many of them there were. Some of them are good and evil like the dragons of asia are good but not the ones in Europe. There are also dark elves too.”
“I think I heard of them before.”
“There are ones that hide of broad daylight too. Luna told me that there is a good chunk of the population that are magickal creatures.”
“Well, I guess that makes sense. I mean, there are a lot of kinds of them.”
“I guess so.”
Silence filled the room until I spoke up. “Hey Alex.”
“Yeah?”
“Are you sure that we can do this?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m talking about saving the world from the demons. I mean, we’re just Jack and Alex from a band. It’s hard to believe that we are really all this special. It’s more like a dream. Some days, I wake up thinking that it’s all a dream, but it’s not, and every night I dream of us with Zack and Rian on stage playing shows for our fans.”
“Same here. I mean, at least you’re the one of light. I’m the one of darkness. It may not be bad, but I would have become the evil one if it wasn’t for our past lives. Hell, I killed you in my past life.”
“Yeah, but you don’t get freaked out whenever a demon is around you. I start to feel uncomfortable. I’m fine around creatures of the light, but I can’t stand the demons.”
“I can see where you’re getting at. It would be annoying, but it’s also annoying to not feel uncomfortable around them. Can you imagine what it’s like to not feel anything when a big and terrifying creature is up in your face?”
“I guess that would be annoying.”
“Dinner is ready,” Cymbeline said as she walked into the room.
“Ok,” we said as we got up.
Alex took my hand, and we made our way to an area outside that was set up like a fancy picnic or something. We sat down next to each other will the sisters on the other side of the food. I picked up the chopsticks and grabbed my bowl of rice. I was kind of scared of what the meat was, so I just stuck with that. Alex was eating it like it was heaven though. He barely even touched his rice, so I ended up eating his too when he ate all of my meat, and I do not mean that sexually for once.
“Are you guys ready for tomorrow?” Luna asked before taking a bite of rice. I nodded. “That’s good. The temple is suppose to be like a bunch of tests, but I don’t really know.”
“Tests?” I asked. “What kind?”
“Not sure. It’s suppose to be a surprise.”
“I guess that makes sense if you think of it as a way to prepare us.”
“Actually. They are suppose to prepare you for the final fight. Of course, we’ll have to find out the way to kill the evil or lock it up at least.”
“Do you know where the key is located?” Alex questioned.
“No, I don’t. All I know is that you will both be tested, and it should be there if you both make it through. That’s what the legend says. There is some great reading material in the temple. They even have slash smut in there!”
“We didn’t need to know that,” her sister told her.
“Anyway, we’re going to give you some stuff before you make your way to the place tomorrow.” Luna went inside the temple and came out with a bag.

@JagkBaraSlut
I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.
