Knots in the Ties
How It All Began
“Hey, catch that dog!” I heard a young woman yell as I snapped back into reality. Coming my way was a black Peek-a-Pom with tan markings. I leaned my lanky body down and picked him up when he reached me. “Thanks.” She was now standing in front of me.
Her long straight hair was black like the night sky with a slice of snow white in her bangs. Her eyes were a striking green, and she had long thick eyelashes. The young woman was on the short side, probably 5’2” or 5’2 ½”, and slim. She looked about the same age as me. Her facial features were soft, and her skin pale. She was wearing black skinny jeans and a white turtle neck.
“It’s no problem,” I smiled as I handed her the dog.
“Is something wrong? You’re giving me a fake smile.” How did she know? “I’m not a stalker or anything. I’m just good at reading people. It looks like you have something on your mind.”
I sighed. “I do.”
“Do you want to talk about it? I’m a good listener. I’m almost home. I could drop Chubbs off, and we can talk about it and get coffee.”
“I guess it wouldn’t hurt.”
“Ok then, follow me.” I followed her down the sidewalk, over to her house, and eventually to the nearest coffee place. We sat down in the table in the back after getting our drinks. “What’s on your mind?”
My finger traced the line around the edge of the cover. Was I really going to tell this stranger what I was thinking? I just met her. She could be the least trustful person on the planet, and I did not want the fans to find out about this. I don’t even know if I’m ready to even say it out loud.
“You can take your time. I’m not pressuring you, Jack.” Shit. She must be a fan. I can’t tell her. “I may be a fan, but I’m not a fan girl. Actually, we went to school together.” I took my attention away from the cup to analyze her face. She really did look familiar. I couldn’t put a name to her face though. “Luna. Luna Wood. I was in your French class with Rian.”
“You sat in the front, right?”
“Yeah, I was a little bit of a nerd. Do you trust me now?” I shrugged. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
It probably would be better to get this off my chest. “It’s about my best friend.”
“Alex?”
“Yeah.”
“What about him? Take your time.”
“He’s single again.”
“Why are you upset about that?”
I took a deep breath before finally speaking quietly. “I… like him.” Her eyebrow rose. “I don’t know why. I just always have. It’s only him too. I’ve never looked at another guy. It’s just hot girls and… him.”
“You’re afraid to tell him. You don’t want to ruin your friendship.”
“I know that he doesn’t like me back. He just does all that kissing crap for the fans. In fact, he gets mad whenever an interviewer asks if Jalex is real. He doesn’t feel the same way I do.”
“You wish that he did though.”
“He’d probably only like me if I had boobs.”
“How far are you willing to go for him to like you?” My shoulders went up and then went back down. “I could give you a chance if you wanted me to.”
“I doubt you could do anything.”
“What if I could? What would you do?”
“I’d do it.”
“Then come with me.”
She got up from the seat, and I followed her to her house. What was she going to do? There was no way she could make my dream come true. I sighed from the thought before entering her house and trying to ignore the dog that was now jumping on me with excitement. Our destination was the basement. The stairs creaked as we walked down them. What could be down here? I don’t remember her being a creep. Her hand ran over the bottles that were on the shelf that was directly across from the stairs. She picked up a certain bottle before handing it to me.
“What is it?”
“You won’t believe me if I told you. Just drink it.”
“It’s not going to kill me, is it?”
“Trust me. Besides, the effects only last for a week.”
“What can I lose?” I gulped down the contents of the bottle before handing it back to her. “I don’t feel any different.”
“You will. Can I see your phone?”
“Why?”
“It’s a part of the plan.”
“Fine,” I huffed before giving her my iPhone. Her fingers flew across the screen.
“Done.”
“What did you do?”
“I texted Alex for you.”
“You what?!”
“I told him that your cousin is coming to town while you’re visiting her parents. I also said that she’ll be staying at your place.”
“I don’t have a cousin staying at my place.”
“No, but he’s not going to recognize you.”
“What do y…” My whole body started to shake. What was happening to me? I screamed from the pain. I could feel my body twisting in different ways. I remember the smirk on Luna’s lips before I blacked out.

@JagkBaraSlut
I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.
