Knots in the Ties
Visions of the Enemy
“The sun is going down,” I commented as I looked up at the sky.
“They should be coming soon,” Luna stated as she picked up her stuff and started walking into the woods.
“What will be chasing after us?” I was terrified, but perhaps this might help me prepare myself.
“I’m not going to tell you.”
“Why not?”
“I just... Some of my warriors turned into the things that would even scare me. I don’t know if those will be the ones hot on our trail or not, but I hope will all my heart that we will never have to encounter them.” As if my fears weren’t that strong already.
“We’ll be fine.” Alex put his arm around me. I won’t let anything hurt you for as long as I live.”
“Thank you.”
With that said, we started to walk deeper and deeper into the woods. Soon, the only light left was the light of the full moon. For some reason, it seemed to calm me down quite a bit. Of course, having Alex’s arm around my waist did help as well. Then, out of nowhere, Luna stopped mid-step.
“Why’d you stop?” Alex asked her quietly.
“Shh.” She looked to her left and then her right. “I thought I heard something.”
“Maybe it was nothing,” I said as I started to shake. “Maybe it was just the wildlife.”
“There is no wildlife in these woods. This place was once home to all kinds of creatures, but they left centuries ago when the darkness first came.”
“Then what could that have been?”
As if the monsters were trying to answer my questions themselves, they jumped out of their hiding spots. There were three of them.
One of them actually looked human in her 20s. The differences were that she had grey skin, blood-stained claws, fangs, and bat wings. When I looked at her, I couldn’t help but think that she was some kind of vampire. I don’t know how, but I knew that she was once human just like the other two. She had become a vampire because she was dying of cancer and she was the only family her brother had left.
The next one didn’t look human at all. It was some kind of animal. A wolf? That’s when I realized that it was a werewolf. I could see in my mind that he had never wanted to be a creature of the darkness, but he had no choice of the matter. His fur was black which was perfect for hiding at this time of night in the woods. That was probably why he had been chosen to chase after us.
Finally, the last one was obviously a ghost of some sort. Her head was hanging forward so her long blonde hair covered her face, which I knew was deformed from a vision that I had had of all three before they became what is now in front of us. She was wearing a light blue dress that came to her knees, and she was slightly see through. She had been murdered by her best friend of five years. It turned out that she was madly in love with her and didn’t want her to marry her fiancé.
“Jack. Jack!” I was pulled out of the visions from Alex saying my name and tugging on my arm. We started to run. The ghost and vampire took flight as the werewolf started to chase us on the ground. “What was that all about?”
“I saw who they used to be.”
“They’re demons. They weren’t anything before this.”
“They were. They were just normal people like us. They didn’t want to become like this.”
“Did you see that in your vision?”
“I did.”
“Do you want to know what I saw? I saw all the sins that they have committed. The vampire was the only one that her brother had because she had killed all of them when she was still a human. Her punishment was to die from cancer, but she went into the darkness. She killed her brother after she turned and felt the power that she had been given to her. SHe drank him dry.
The werewolf was a teacher that had an affair with one of his underage students. He was on the run when he was attacked in the woods. He was suppose to be punished by the government but didn’t get to. Instead, he used this curse to kill his wife and the girl.
The ghost became a ghost because she wanted to get revenge on the man that killed her. She haunted him until he became mad and killed himself by punching the mirror that he saw her image in. He cut an artery and bled to death.”
“I-I didn’t know.”
“It’s ok. We need to just worry about getting away from them.”
I didn’t care how much my legs were hurting. I had to keep running. We had to keep running. I didn’t want to look back at the monsters that were chasing us, but I couldn’t stop myself from looking back. My head immediately went forward again. Why did this have to happen to us? I’m happy that it did happen because I was now with my precious Alex. However, the fact that we were being chased by demons had me shaking. We were too young to die. We hadn’t even been together that long.
“We’re almost to the safe house,” Luna told us.
I could see the shine of the force field as we neared it. We were going to make it. I smiled at Alex, but my face turned to one of horror as I saw the demon grab him and force him down to the ground before clawing at him.
“Alex!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. No, this can’t be happening. When did it all go wrong? The memories started to fill my head as I lost control of my body. Before I lost complete control, I could feel the energy flowing through my body. The last thing I saw was the snow white color circling my body.

@JagkBaraSlut
I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.
