Knots in the Ties
The Legend
The younger man’s lips moved in sync with the shorter one’s. The two used to be best friends, but the sexual tension had gotten the best of them. They were currently on the younger’s bed with no clothes on. They knew it was wrong, but they couldn’t help themselves because they secretly loved each other.
“I love you,” the taller one finally admitted to the elder.
“I love you too.”
“You know this is wrong, right?”
“Why? Because we’re both guys?”
The younger shook his head. “Because we’re both so powerful.”
The older one was taken back. “W-What do you mean?”
“You have powers too, right? You don’t know why, but you do.”
“H-How did you know?”
“I have them too. I met a witch the other day, and she couldn’t explain why we had them. She was going to ask their council for me.”
“You can’t trust witches. They’re evil.”
“True, but they know the most about magic. Now, let’s continue, please.”
“Of course.” Their lips met again with a fiery passion.
The next day, the younger one was managing his shop with his new lover next to him. A young lady with a hood on walked up to them. She paid no attention to the items around her. She just simply walked up to the two men. They gave her a suspicious look, but their thoughts were answered when she spoke.
“The council sent me.”
“So why do we have these powers when we are not witches?”
“They told me to take you to them.” She grabbed both of their arms and then teleported the three of them.
When the young men opened their eyes, they found themselves in a dark room where the only light was shined on them and twelve people in front of them. Each one was wearing clothes that resembled the 12 zodiac signs. The two lovers couldn’t believe their eyes. They had heard rumors that the witches were governed by people that were just like the zodiac signs.
“My name is Leo,” the one with the lion mane said. “You are Jack and Alexander, correct?” They both nodded. “I bet that you are wondering why you have these powers even though you are not witches or wizards.” They nodded again. “It is because you are like us.”
“What do you mean?” Alexander spoke up.
“You were created just like us,” the one with ram horns on his hat said. “We are created with the power of the zodiac signs. We are them in mortal form. The girl that brought you here, Luna, is the mortal being of the moon just as her sister is that of the sun. Jack, you are the human form of light, and Alexander, you are the human form of the dark. Light and Dark are the two most powerful forces. Just being able to see their human form is amazing. The moon and sun are more powerful than us, but you both could destroy the world if you wanted to.”
“W-What?”
“That is why we must separate you,” Leo continued.
“Separate us?”
“You are too powerful to be together. Luna will be watching over you, Alexander. Jack, you will be going with Luna’s sister, Cymbeline.”
“But I don’t want to leave him! We just admitted that we loved each other! You can’t take us away from each other!” Alexander was furious. How could he even leave the other boy for a second.
“Maybe it’s for the best,” Jack tried to tell him. “How long do we have to be apart.”
The one world that would break both of their hearts came from Aries. “Forever.”
“W-What do you mean forever?”
“You are not allowed to be together. If you were somehow turned to the side of the demons, the end of the world would come. Luna, take Alexander to your safe house.”
Luna nodded before grabbed Alexander from under his arms and starting to take him away. He struggled as much as he could. There was no way that he would even want to live without Jack. Jack was like his other half. He was the yang to his yin.
“You’ll pay for this!” he screamed. “I will be with Jack whether you like it or not! I love him!”
“How can the dark ever love the light?” Pisces murmured.
Alexander and Jack were only separated a month before darkness started to fill the world. The demons had gotten to Alexander. He was under their control, and there was nothing that he could do. With his magick, he made a veil of darkness cover every place that held a witch. This was why people started to accuse others of being witches and having them burned at the stake.
The council had to do something to fight this evil, so they sent out the only person that stood a chance, Jack. He may not have wanted to fight his love, but he wanted the evil to subside. He put on special armor that was created by Cymbeline and the council and then set out to take down Alexander.
When they met, a heated battle began. The two shot burst of energy at each other and fought with their magick swords. Jack tried his best to get his Alexander to come back to him, but it was futile. Alexander’s strikes were set to kill. Jack’s were not, and that is why he fell. Alexander’s sword went straight through Jack’s chest. He looked down at his wound. Alexander pulled the metal out of the younger’s body, and Jack fell down to the ground.
Alexander’s black eyes became brown again. His senses and control were back. However, it was too late. Once injured by the sword of darkness, no magick can heal the wound. Alexander knew this, so he fell to his knees and held Jack in his arms as he cried. He didn’t want to lose his love. He couldn’t.
“I-I’m h-happy that you’re b-back,” Jack spoke as blood dripped down his chin. “I love you.”
“I love you too. I’m not going to lose you.”
“It’s too l-late though. I’m n-not going to m-make it.”
“You don’t have to make it.” Alexander started to chant words from an ancient tongue. When he finished, a dark glow surrounded them.
“What d-did you d-do?”
“You’ll see one day.” With that, Alexander took his knife from the sheath on his leg and slit his throat.
The spell that Alexander cast was a spell that would make the lovers be reborn again. It couldn’t stop the fact that they would have to go through the darkness, but this time they would be together. The council would be unable to separate them. Their guardians would make sure of it. They were going to be together, and not even the demons would stop them.

I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.
