"I'm a walking travesty."

Dawn’s POV
I closed my lips as I finished the last note of my band’s new song. It was another song about him. Why can’t I forget him? Oh well. At least it gave me mind-blowing songs. The host of the show that we were currently on came over and gave me a hug. I looked at the audience and noticed the tears in their eyes. It was so annoying playing slow acoustic songs. Everyone always cried afterwards.
“That was really beautiful,” the lady said. I think her name was Sarah. It didn’t really matter. It’s not like I cared.
“Thanks,” I said in my normal cheery voice. I always covered up my true feelings. I really was silly and childish, but I still acted like that even when I wasn’t happy.
“I can’t believe that you’re still all happy.”
“Well believe it.”
“What they say about you really is true. You really are a joyful 24 year old that is always silly.”
“Yep.” I was using my baby voice. The fans always liked it when I acted like a goofball.
“I’m still surprised that you’re not fazed by those powerful lyrics. Could it be that you have a certain someone in your life?” Everyone always asked if I had a boyfriend. They thought that the only way that someone as silly as me could still be content after singing and writing songs like that was if I had someone that made me feel special.
“No, I’m still single.”
“I’m surprised. There are thousands of boys that would want to fix that for you.”
“I don’t want any of them.”
“I understand if you don’t want to date any of your fans. Still, I think we all wonder why you haven’t dated another musician. Am I right?” The small crowd roared louder than I thought they could.
“I don’t want a boyfriend.”
“Do you at least want a girlfriend? There are a lot of interested girls too.”
“I don’t like girls.”
“Why don’t you want a boyfriend?”
“I just don’t want one. I’m too focused on my career for one anyway.” I always used that excuse.
“Well I hope that you find someone that makes you happy sooner or later.” She gave me another hug before I left the stage with the rest of my band. I could still hear her words though. “That was Dawn Fox and her band, Lunatics and Love! Before you leave, don’t forget to pick up their new CD that I’m giving to all of you!” The crowd cheered even more.
I mentally sighed before running over to my band mates and closest friends. “What do you guys want to do now?” I asked as I jumped up and down.
“Sleep,” our lead guitarist Logan answered. He had white hair that always found its way of getting in his face, sea green eyes, and two lip rings next to each other. He was the mature one of the group. He was hyperactive on stage and sometimes off stage, but the fact was that he was like everyone’s older brother. He was only older than I was by a year. His twin was also older (obviously), but he didn’t act like it. They were opposites. Night and day. Hot and cold.
“I want to go party though,” Luke, the drummer, whined. “I want to drink so bad right now! It’d be so much fun!” Luke had Logan’s eyes, but not his hair. Luke preferred it messy with random pieces of green while the rest of his hair was black. He had two nose rings on the same side of his nostril and an eyebrow piercing.
“You know that Dawn’s sister is too young to drink,” Mia spoke quietly. She was our keyboardist and really shy. She had red hair with cerulean streaks, bright blue eyes that matched the unnatural color in her hair, and no facial piercing. She was too scared to get them. She also was our manager’s little sister. I was older than she was by two years.
“Who cares?” Luke asked. “We can just drop her off somewhere while we have fun!” He really was loud. It seriously gave me a headache sometimes.
“Do you want me to hit you?” my sister, Carina, huffed. I was older than she was by four years. She had long blonde hair and grayish-blue eyes. She also was a lot taller than I was. She was 5’8” while I only was 5’1”. (Curse my shortness.) She also had snakebites. My sister also played guitar. It took me forever to convince her to do so when our old guitarist quit. I’m happy she agreed to do so. I loved my sister. I even called her by a special nickname. I always called her Care.
“Your sister is threatening me!” Luke told me as he hid behind me.
I flung my brunette hair with black tips to the other side of my face as I laughed. “It sucks to be you.” I looked at my sister with my hazel eyes. “Are you really going to hit him?”
“Maybe,” she replied.
“I give you permission,” Logan whispered in her ear.
“Hey!” Luke exclaimed. “You can’t do that! You’re my twin!”
“Oh well.” Logan shrugged it off and went outside to get in his car. Luke chased after him as Carina and I laughed as he fell down on his face as he tried to catch up with his brother.
“Don’t forget that we need to be on the plane tomorrow to go to the first place of the tour!” Care yelled. “If you’re late, I really will hit you! It will be in the face too!”
“Is your brother driving you?” I asked Mia. She nodded before going over to her brother, Brandon. He had short hair that was one shade darker than hers was, but they both had the same eyes that they got from their deceased mother.
When Mia was little, her family was in a car accident, and her mother died because of it. She was the one driving. Mia told herself that she would never drive a vehicle in her life. She was scared that the same thing would happen to her.
“Now that they are gone, you can stop with the act,” my sister commanded. She was my sister. Of course, she knew when I was faking.
I let the smile on my face drop. “You always know when I’m faking.”
“I also know that that song was about him, and I looked at the bands that will be on the tour with us.”
“You did?”
“There was no way that you could hide that from me. I know that his band will be there too. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want to worry you.”
“Why would I worry about you? I’m just kidding. I know that you get depressed when you just hear his name.”
“Yeah yeah. Blah blah blah.”
“Don’t ignore me. I’ll slap you.”
“Ok. Ok. I won’t.”
“If you start getting upset, come talk to me. Got it?”
“Yeah, I got it. Can we go home now? I still haven’t finished packing.”
“Of course you haven’t.”
“I’m Dawn. What do you expect?”
I got home and started to pack my bag with all the stuff that I was going to need. This included my favorite clothes, make-up, ipod, my laptop, and other stuff. When I started to grab my lyric book, I paused. Did I really want to take that other stuff? I sighed. Of course, I was going to. I grabbed the box that I had in a secret department of the drawer of my desk. It was filled with all the notes we wrote, the pictures of us together, and that little plushy that he gave me. Why can’t I get over you? Why can’t I get over Jack Barakat? The last thing that I grabbed was my sketch stuff, which included my calligraphy pen.

Oh thanks! It's been forever since I've gotten comments or anything.
And I'm happy you like this one. It's not favorite, but it's forever there for me since it was my first ATL fic.
Oh and Idon't know if you've started the prequel but I got really stuck on it, but I have thought of just putting up all the info that wasn't explained. Ex. Why they hate Brittany so much

Anyway, thanks! :)
