Just Two Kids Stupid and Fearless

Riley's POV

It was lunch time, and I tried to stop myself from freaking out, but I haven’t seen Haley because she is in all my classes the second half of the day. We usually meet up after our class and go to lunch together, but I forgot to prepare for this. I decided to just go down to lunch, and she will probably be waiting for me, saving a table.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. The lunch room was packed, every single table was taken, being occupied by starving teenagers that wouldn’t let some random girl come sit with them. It would be easy to see her, because of her bright purple hair, so she is definitely not here. I gripped on my lunchbox and left to go to the bathroom. I guess I can eat in there.
“Riley!” I heard my name being shouted, but it wasn’t Haley. I turned around and saw Alex at a table with a bunch of boys and one nice looking girl. He motioned over to me to come sit at his table with him. Why not?
“Couldn’t find a seat?” a muscular guy sitting next to a guy with tall kid skunk hair chuckled. I smiled and nodded. These guys seemed friendly.
“You can sit with us, guys this is Riley Rose.” Alex introduced me. The skunk boy grabbed my hand and said, “Hi, I’m Jack. I’m single, and you’re very hot.”
I giggled, and Alex smacked his shoulder as punishment.
“Ignore him, I’m Rian Dawson.” the guy with the buzzcut, and girl with brown and blonde hair under his arm said.
“I’m Cassadee.” she smiled, both in the couple showing off their amazingly white teeth. Maybe their parents are dentists or something. I glanced at the muscular guy who had not introduced himself yet, and he just stated, “Zack Merrick.’
They seem like a nice group of people, and I was sitting next to Alex so that’s great for my anxious mind.
“Riles, I texted you to meet up by my locker!” Haley said. Finally she was here!
“You know my phone is shit, it doesn’t ring when I get texts anymore.” I reminded her, and she nodded her head.
“Seems like you found us a table.” she commented, looking at all the people at the table.
“Alex, where are you finding all of these hot girls. Please take me there.” Jack begged, leaning over me to have direct eye contact with him.
“Well, one of them fell on my shoes this morning.” he chuckled, wrapping his arm around me. Haley laughed, and sat between me and Jack, using the edge of both our seats as her own. Jack looked up and acted like he was thanking god to have Haley so close to his body, and he wrapped his arm around her. Seems like we found a good group of people.
They did all their introductions again to Haley, and started talking about band practice after school.
“You guys are in a band?” Haley asked.
“Yeah, were All Time Low. We suck.” Rian chuckled, everyone laughed.
“Riley’s boyfriend’s in a band.” She stated, but didn’t seem too excited.
I immediately felt Alex’s arm ripped away from me, but not from him.
“Ri, what the hell are you doing sitting with these nerds?” Luke.

Notes

I'm in a very writey kind of mood, so I will post at least one more chapter tonight. Idk, I'm on a roll lol
