That Thursday after class I went home to Baltimore to talk to Child Services along with having dinner with the dearest Kennedy’s (Jacee and Lee). It had been almost impossible for me to sleep even the little amount I normally get lately. There has been too much on my mind; so much that I am beginning to think I cannot do school, work, have a social life, and search for my family.
“Finlee Rayne! Get your butt downstairs, dinner is ready,” Jacee yelled up to me.
“I’m coming Jace!”
I loved Jace but sometimes she was over bearing. You see The Kennedy’s took me in when I had nowhere else left to go within the system; they were newlyweds (she was 24, he was 28) and offered their assistance. It all changed within a few years.
When I got downstairs to eat the whole family was sitting there in silence staring at me. I did not know what to do so I tried to start the conversation among the family.
“Hey Lee, how was work?”
“Uh, good…” he replied. You see I always got these answers from him, he was basically impossible to talk to!
After the awkward dinner I made the long trek back to Virginia Tech so that I could study and get all of my homework done before Friday. Fridays are always special for Char and me because it is the one day we can let loose and live like we’re different people. We basically spend all of our spare money on outfits for Friday nights. I know, very stupid of us!

Wow guys I am horrible at keeping my readers informed! I am soooo sorry y’ll. I have decided that it should count that I am thinking about blogging among my busy schedule, lol. Don’t y’ll agree?
I went to visit Child Services in Maryland yesterday. They gave me a copy of everything they had on me. I have yet to open the packet; however, I think I am beginning to chicken out. Silly me, you’d think after everything that has gone on in my life I would be able to read a few pieces of paper.
Going to Maryland also meant that I had to go see my foster family. I love hanging out with Jacee, my foster mom, but Lee is another story. You see when I first came to their home they had just gotten married. We got along okay at that time, mostly my fault (you know the raging teenage hormones and all); but that all changed a year later when Jacee had their son Miles. It was like a switch went off in his brain and I was no longer useful for him. I even think I heard him arguing with Jacee a few times about how she should just send me back and that I was a “useless piece of shit, slut.” That man definitely knows how to push my buttons. So going there to visit them for a nice dinner was hard for me. We basically sat and ate in awkward silence, me catching him glaring at me every once and a great while. Then after that Jacee apologized and said “He’ll come around, I know it” like she always does and I made the 2.5 hour trip back here.
Child services also gave me a letter in an envelope addressed “Fin”. I think that is why I am so scared to open the packet. All I keep thinking about is what if my mom wrote something in there like, “blah, blah, blah, never ever contact me!” I think that is what scares me the most.
On a brighter note (since I feel like this blog is such a downer for y’ll) it’s FRIDAY!!!!! Oh yeah go ahead and sing the song with me, “It’s Friday, Friday. Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend.” Okay thanks for indulging me. I think Char and I are going to go guy scoping in town tonight. She has been really bugging me to find someone “to fuck” in her own words. I have finally given in to her requests and am letting her “set me up” with Luke’s friend James.
Well I better go get ready, everyone should be here soon. Wish me luck! And I will update y’ll on my life tomorrow or Sunday.

Zack’s POV
This girl’s blog is so captivating. I really want to write her and tell her just to open the packet of information already! But I have a feeling she doesn’t really want anyone to reply, she is just writing to get her feelings out, so I have been holding off. We are WA today for a gig and I have to go to sound check soon. I am going to hear hell for this because I am sure Jack has told the others about me being infatuated with a girl 1. I have never met 2. I have never talked to and 3. I don’t even know.
“Merrick, hurry your ass up, we gotta go to sound check,” I heard Matt yell. Well I guess it’s time to face the music. Deep breaths Zack, deep breaths.
“Hey dude. Where have you been?” Alex asked. Oh no here it comes;
“Oh he probably has been drooling over this girl who he reads about online…” Jack said quickly. Oh thanks Jack; that is something the whole band needed to know.
“Haha, wait, dude do you even know this girl?” Rian began and I shook my head vigorously. “Then why are you so in love with her?”
I couldn’t take it any longer, “I’m not in love with her. I just find what she has to say interesting, unlike you losers.”
“He says she’s gorgeous too,” Jack just would not shut the fuck up!!!
“Haha, it’s okay Zacky boy, we understand it’s your first love! So tell me, would she get with me at the same time?” Matt chimed in.
Oh my god this is going to be a loooonng tour!
Charlotte’s POV
Rayne has been acting REALLY weird lately. I wonder what is on her mind. Hopefully finding her a guy to play with tonight will help her loosen up and let whatever it is go. This girl is so secretive, even towards me. It’s like she can’t trust the world or something. Whatever I need to get this James kid prepared for the best thing that will ever happen to him.
I told Rayne to wear something sexy but casual and even suggested her black skinny jeans, pink corset top, and calf high boots. Hopefully she listened, because she needs to get laid.
