"LEX!" Alex jolted awake at the sound of his name but then fell back onto the bed when he seen Jack smiling at him."Ugh really Jack its-" Alex looked at his phone "half nine! Ugh whyyy?" Alex moaned from under the covers."It's summer! C'mon Lex get your lazy ass out the bed, I wanna go somewhere" Jack said pulling the covers off Alex and he curled up as the cold air hit him, still determined to sleep past ten."It was also summer yesterday" He mumbled against the mattress."Lex! Pleeeease" Jack whined laying next to him and playing with his hair."Okay, okay I'm up" Alex groaned as he sat up on the bed, then stood up after a few minutes grabbing a pair of dark skinny jeans and a blink top before changing in the bathroom."Where are we going?" Jack asked excitedly in the passenger seat as Alex drove them towards the back of Baltimore. After twenty minutes of Jack begging Alex to tell him where they were going they had arrived, Alex knew Jack would enjoy it here since he acts like a 5 year old."Okay Jack look where we are" Alex said making Jack look up from his phone and he watched as Jack squealed in excitement."Oh my god! The zoo!" Jack said running out the car and Alex had to fetch him while attempting to lock his car. He ran after the younger boy as he was already waiting in the line to get in, Jack was practically jumping around with excitement."Jacky calm down" Alex laughed grabbing Jack's hand and linking their fingers, Jack just shook his head which caused Alex to laugh. He paid for the two of them and the woman smiled at them and handed Alex a map of the zoo which Jack grabbed off of him."Can we go see the lions? No the penguins, oh no wait the monkeys!" Jack said pointing to all the places on the map and Alex knew the only way to shut him up was to kiss him, so that's what he did, he gave him a light peck on the lips and he shut up."Why don't we start here and walk our way round in a circle that way we see everything and we'll get some food later on?" Alex suggested and Jack nodded his eyes sparkling like a child at Christmas."Lets go!" Jack yelled pulling Alex along with him. They had been in the zoo for an hour and they hadn't even got half way round yet because Jack was so interested in the monkeys, but Alex didn't mind leaving Jack he wondered over to the next enclosure and waited for Jack to come over to his side."They are so cute!" Jack gushed about the small monkeys and Alex smiled, his favourite animal was the lions."Jack it's you!" Alex called to his boyfriend and he came running over then frowned at Alex, reading the small sign that said 'skunk' and then a bunch of information about the animal."Not funny" He mumbled folding his arms across his chest and walked away."Aww come on Jacky I thought it was quite good" Alex called after him laughing and he knew Jack found it funny as well as he was fighting back a smile."Well that's Zack" Jack said pointing over to the rhinos which caused both boys to break out into fits of laughter. They spent the next ten minutes pointing at animals and calling them names from people in school, until they got to the big cat part of the zoo and Alex couldn't laugh any more because how sore it was."Oh my god! Jack look" Alex said running over to the glass screen so he could get a better look at the lions."He looks like you, got the same hair and everything" Jack said but Alex smacked his arm and ignored him to busy watching them, Alex snapped a couple of pictures of the lions and then went to find Jack who was looking through the glass to try and see the leopard."I'm hungry" Jack complained next to Alex as they were walking up a small hill that took them to the top of the zoo."I think there's a cafe up here" He said feeling the sweat pour off him, it was roasting for the first day of summer and all this walking was tiring Alex out."Why didn't we go to the beach? Why the fuck did I wear skinnys?" Alex thought to himself as they walked into the jungle themed cafe and decided to sit inside since it was cooler, Alex sent Jack for the food and he returned with two plates of burger and chips."Here" Jack said handing Alex back the money he had gave him"Jack this was my treat, I don't want you paying!" Alex huffed and Jack just smirked then leaned over the table and gave him a quick kiss which earned them a few stares from mothers that were nearby."You pay for everything, so let me spend at least $15 on food gosh Lex you make it out like I'm the girl in this relationship" Jack said taking a bite of his burger and Alex chuckled."That's because you are" He replied and Jack just stuck his tongue out at him while he continued to eat his breakfast/lunch, Alex then remembered he had to tell Jack about the envelope his mom had gave him yesterday. He decided he would tell Jack about it later tonight when they got home he didn't want to talk about it in the middle of a cafe, soon both boys were finished their meals and Jack was ready to go look at the rest of the animals. Once they were home Alex changed into sweats and a baggy jumper while Jack went in for a shower,"Sure you don't want to join me?" Jack asked trying his best to look seductive from the bathroom door while Alex laughed from their bed."Maybe another time but for now hurry up and shower so I can cuddle with my boyfriend and if he's lucky I might consider watching Home Alone" Alex said and as soon as the words 'Home Alone' were mentioned Jack was gone and the bathroom door shut"Works every time" Alex laughed to himself as he felt his phone buzz and he put in his password then opened the message from Rian.From Rian :) - Hey Alex, having a great time apart from the fact Zack's ex is here nearly everyday and won't let me and Zack be alone! I can tell Zack's getting annoyed but the guy just won't take the hint! Anyway I'll see you when we get home and we can catch upAlex never knew Zack had a boyfriend before Rian but then thinking back he never did understand why he would spend nearly every summer at that lake house, then one year he came back in a complete mess but wouldn't tell Alex what was wrong. Looked like both of them had kept secrets from each other, just then Jack bounded into the room and leapt onto the bed next to Alex pulling him down for a kiss which caused Alex to laugh into the kiss."Jack!" He squeaked in surprise as Jack nipped at his neck while he heard his phone fall off the bed, Alex attached his lips back to Jack's and the younger boy wrapped his arms around Alex kissing him back and Alex ran his hand through Jack's damp hair no doubt messing it up."So can we watch Home Alone?" Jack asked breaking the kiss and Alex couldn't help but laugh at him"Do I have a choice?" He asked and Jack kissed him again before hopping off the bed sticking the DVD on."Nope" Jack said as he reattached himself to Alex's side and instantly went quiet as the movie started,"Didn't think so" Alex said as he pulled Jack closer to him so their legs were tangled together, his head was resting on Jack's chest and Jack's fingers lightly making circles on Alex's exposed hip."Did you have fun today?" Alex whispered and he watched as Jack tore his eyes away from the TV screen to look at him."It was great, I had never been to the zoo so I really enjoyed it, thank you Lex" Jack said leaning down to kiss him and it was a long sweet kiss that Alex thought only existed in the movies, the one that made you feel like you were floating and butterflies in the stomach."Oh and I'm sorry I called you a skunk" He said and Jack burst into laughter which made him feel better, Jack squeezed him tightly and they went back to watching the movie that Alex was secretly starting to like but he would never admit it to Jack.
