Alex woke to find Jack nowhere in the house, he had checked every room and tried to phone him but he wasn't answering. Alex was panicking. Where did he go? Why didn't he wake him up and tell him? What if something terrible has happened? there was to many thoughts swimming in Alex's head. Phoning Jack again it went to voicemail"Jack phone me as soon as you get this, I'm worried please where are you?" He rushed out then decided he was going to go look for Jack himself, grabbing his keys he got into his car and drove around town. He checked Jack's work, he checked the park, music store, the mall and still no sign of Jack anywhere. Thinking of the only thing that may help him find Jack he picked up his phone he dialled Rian"Hey Alex" Rian said cheerfully and all doubt of telling Rian about him and Jack had disappeared in that short space of time."Rian I need your help" Alex said still panicking as he drove back through his street."Whoa Alex calm down, what's wrong?" Rian asked and Alex took a deep breath."I can't find Jack he stayed over last night and when I woke up he wasn't in my house or anywhere around town and now I can't find him or get him on the phone. Rian I'm really scared something's happened to him, please you have to help me find him" He begged and Alex heard Rian moving around."Try to stay calm Alex, me and Zack will be there in a few" Rian said hanging up and Alex tried to calm down like Rian said so he wouldn't have a panic attack in his car, true to his word Zack's car came to a stop beside his own and they all got out."Rian I don't know what to do!" Alex cried flinging himself into the boy who just wrapped him in a hug."Why don't we start off with why Jack was here" Zack said putting a hand on Alex's shoulder, nodded his head Alex told them."We're going out ok, I'm gay as well which was why I was cool with the both of yous. That isn't the point right now but, shit! I think I know where he went" Alex said going to get into his car but Zack stopped him."Where Alex? We can't help if you don't tell us" He said as Alex nodded. "Jack's dad came back yesterday and he was staying with me because his dad use to abuse him""Wait you think Jack went home to his abusive father! I don't think Jack would be that stupid" Rian exclaimed but Alex just nodded his head he knew Jack better than the both of them put together."He might have went back to get stuff to stay with Alex, Ri it's a possibility and I've seen Jack in physical he has no strength what so ever" Zack said opening the door to Alex's car and the three friends hopped in racing over to Jack's house, the closer they got the more Alex wished Zack could be wrong."Alex you can't just storm in that house, you don't know what could happen" Rian said slowly as Alex was ready to run out the car into the house."He's my boyfriend Rian I can't let him get hurt and you would do the same if it was Zack in this situation" Alex said looking straight at Rian, he sighed knowing Alex was right."What can we do to help?" Zack asked causing Alex to smile."Stay at the front door and if I can Jack to run out make sure he gets into the car and you take him to mines, don't wait for me" Alex said as Zack nodded his lips in a tight line. Walking up to Jack's door he knocked loudly, he heard a few shouts from inside the house and then a girl a few years older than Alex opened the door."What?" She asked and Alex swallowed needing to be brave."Is Jack in?" He asked and watched as the colour drained from her face at the mention of his name."No he hasn't been home in a few days" She said about to close the door on Alex when he heard a cry come from up the stairs. Jack."You're lying" Alex said barging past her and he flew up the stairs following the sounds of Jack's cries."JACK!" He shouted opening the door and he watched as Jack's dad spun round locking onto Alex standing there"Get out!" He shouted at Alex who stood his ground and motioned his head at Jack towards the door."Jack go!" Alex said jumping in front of Jack's dad and taking the blow that was clearly meant for Jack, Alex stumbled back slightly hitting his head off the corner shelf and watched as Jack ran down the stairs all Alex could hope was Zack took him away from here."I think you should leave" Alex turned round and saw the girl who had opened the door to him ans he guessed it was Jack's sister."Oh I am and Jack's going with me, how can you do that to him? What makes you think that abusing him will change his mind about being gay? Because it won't, it only makes him scared and afraid that everyone is the same as the both of you. Jack doesn't deserve any of you in his life, people like you shouldn't be allowed to have a family" Alex spat at both Jack's dad and sister before walking out the house, it was when he was walking down the street to his own house he realised he had a gash on his head and could feel the blood running down his neck."Alex get in" Zack said pulling up beside him and Alex stumbled into the car feeling a bit tired."Where's Jack?" Alex asked putting a hand his head to try and stop it bleeding."Rian's with him at yours don't worry he's going to be okay, fuck Alex are you okay?" Zack said pulling over to look at Alex's head."M'sleepy" Alex mumbled pulling his hand away and noticed it was covered in blood"Alex don't you dare go to sleep! Look at me Alex! You have to stay awake for Jack" Zack kept repeating over and over now and then shaking Alex. Oh well Jack's safe that's all that matters Alex thought as he could feel the darkness creeping up on him.- "Ughh" Alex moaned as he came back to reality and was surprised he wasn't in the hospital because the gash felt pretty deep to him."ALEX!" Jack shouted flinging his arms around him and Alex felt him shaking slightly."Gave us a fucking scare dude" Rian said sitting on the edge of Alex's bed, Zack standing behind him looking at Alex with a worried expression."I'm sorry Jack" Alex whispered low enough so Rian and Zack couldn't hear him."Don't be sorry, you saved me Lex" Jack squeezed him slightly and looked over at Rian and Zack who smiled at them,"Ri I think we should leave them alone now, if you need us just phone okay" Zack said hugging Alex and Jack before walking out the bedroom and Rian done the same, hearing the door close Alex lay back on his bed just staring at Jack."Why were you sorry?" Jack asked frowning and Alex sighed."I'm always hurting you Jack" He started but Jack cut him off by kissing him."No you're not! Alex you saved me from my asshole of a family today, no one has ever done something that brave and stupid for me ever. You stepped in front of my dad taking the hit that was meant for me, Alex if anything you've saved me" Jack said taking Alex's hand and watched as a smile grew on his face."I just don't think you deserve me Jack, I don't feel good enough for you. I don't know why you want to be with me, a boy who has nearly killed himself and take anti depressants" Alex whispered tears forming in his eyes, Jack had a sad smile on his face."Alex I will always want to be with you know why?" He said and Alex shook his head and Jack grinned."Because I love you, I love you so fucking much" Jack whispered his cheeks turning a bright shade of red, Alex let out a shaky laugh as tears rolled down his cheeks."I love you to Jacky" Alex said kissing the amazing boy in front of him.
