Fanboy

"Alex, get up!" I heard my mum yell from the bottom of the stairs. I groaned, grabbed a pillow and put it over my head. I knew I shouldn't have stayed up so late, but I needed to write.

"Alex!" She yelled again.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back. I managed to barely sit up on my bed. I grabbed my phone from the side table, instantly smiling once I saw my Jack Barakat lock screen, but then frowning to see that it was half six in the morning.

I staggered out of my bedroom, downstairs and into the dining room, where my annoying family sat. Mike, my older brother, was eating toast of some sort, Jade, my younger sister, was taking disgraceful selfies on her new phone, my mum wasn't in here and my dad was reading his paper.

"Oh look who finally got up." Mike joked. I rolled my eyes and sat down on a random seat. My mum walked into the dining room, a plate of food in each hand. She placed one in front of my dad, whom just mumbled a 'thanks' and the other plate in front of Jade, who didn't stop with the goddamn selfies. I didn't know how an eleven year old could be so addicted to themselves.

"Alex, what do you want?" My mum asked.

"Can I just have some cereal?" I asked, "I feel really bloated." I said, pouting and rubbing my stomach.

"That's why you don't eat Doritos and ice cream at two am." She said and walked back into the kitchen. I could feel Jade staring at me, even when I wasn't even looking at her.

"What?" I asked her, turning around.

"You're so feminine." She commented.

"And?.." I replied.

"It's really weird." She said with a shrug.

"You're really weird." I fired back.

"Gay boy.." She muttered under her breath.

"You're saying it like it's an insult." I said. My mum returned and placed my bowl of cereal I font of me. I thanked her and picked up my spoon ready to eat, but that's when my phone buzzed. I reached over and noticed that Jack barakat had tweeted something, since I receive notifications when he tweets.
