The Experts Say I'm Delirious
"I’ve been telling you that I’m Alesia, but I’m not."
The teenage girl sat up and slowly opened her hazel eyes. What had happened last night? She knew that Echo took over, but she didn’t know what she did. Echo didn’t tell her. She only laughed at the childish girl.
A cold breeze brought Alesia back to the real world. Why was she so cold? Her pajamas always kept her warm normally. She looked down to find that she wasn’t wearing them. Actually, she wasn’t wearing anything at all. What did Echo do!? The sound of a body turning to its other side made her look over at the other side of the bed. There Jack was, fast asleep with his mouth partly open.
Alesia screamed before grabbing one of the sheets and falling off the side of the bed. The combination of the scream and the thud caused Jack to wake and sit up. The younger crawled over to the corner of the room and pulled the sheet around her.
“Alesia?” Jack questioned as rubbed his eyes. The young girl started to sob. She looked up at him when his hands started to move. “Are you ok?” He remembered that Alesia wouldn’t have known what had happened last night. What was he going to do?
“I want Daren,” she cried.
“Do you want me to go get him for you?” Maybe that would calm her down so he could explain what happened.
“You can’t get him. He’s gone.”
“What do you mean?” Last time he checked, Daren was on her bed.
“He’s gone. He’s been gone. I want him here though. I always comforted him when he was upset. Maybe he could do the same for me.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I named my puppy after him. Daren was my little brother. He’s gone though, so you can’t get him. He went to the light.” Jack started to get up to go over to her, but her voice stopped him. “Don’t come any closer! I don’t want you to get closer. You look like a plushie. Why did you hurt me? You’re a monster!” What was Jack going to do? She wouldn’t let him comfort her, and she wouldn’t let him explain what happened.
He’s not a monster.
Alesia hadn’t heard that voice in so long. This voice knew everything. Maybe she knew what happened last night. Was it Echo that started this, or was it Plushie?
Jack didn’t start anything. He actually wasn’t sure if he should have been doing that. Echo started everything.
Of course Echo started it. Alesia wasn’t mad at Plushie anymore. Her anger was now pointed at that pervert, Echo.
Don’t be mad at Echo.
Why shouldn’t she be mad at Echo? Alesia’s body was no longer pure, and it was Echo’s fault.
Echo may have started it, but I finished it. Echo didn’t go all the way with him. I took over before she could. I was the one that went all the way with him. Don’t be so upset. You know that what I say goes. I may let you have control, but Iam the real Alesia.
The childish one knew this. She just never thinks about it. The real Alesia doesn’t do anything. She never talks. She never says what they can or can’t do. She’s been hidden inside her mind since the incident.
The girl looked over at the bed to find that Jack was still sitting there. He was looking at his hands. She started to feel bad about calling him a monster. The other personality and the real Alesia both allowed him to do what he did. It wasn’t his fault. She needed to apologize.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you,” she said. He took his attention away from his hands and looked at her. “Alesia cleared everything up.” His face showed that he was confused. This was Alesia, wasn’t it? Her voice didn’t sound like Echo or that other girl from last night. “You’re confused. I know why. I’ve been telling you that I’m Alesia, but I’m not. I’m just one of her personalities. Echo is the other one.” So the girl from last night was the real Alesia? “You met her last night.”
Tell him about my feelings for him.
“She wants you to know that she likes like you just like Echo and I do. That’s why she did what she did. She was ok with it because she likes you so much. That’s why I shouldn’t be so upset about all this. I still kind of am though. I know that you aren’t supposed to do that until you’re married. That’s what Grandma always told me.”
Grandma isn’t always right. The world has changed.
“I thought Grandma was always right.”
In her generation, it is wrong, but the world has changed.
Jack noticed that the girl was shivering. “It’s warmer up here. The comforter is up here.”
Go ahead and sit with him.
The younger girl did what the real Alesia said and sat down next to Jack. Her hands pulled the comforter up so it was on her too. She started to feel warmer. She looked over and saw that Jack had his head turned away. He was feeling uncomfortable. Was there something that the teenager could do to make him feel better?
Tell him about the incident.
“I c-can’t tell him about that.”
Then let me tell him what happened. I want him to know. If he knows, maybe he’ll finally understand everything.
She nodded. “Plushie.” He finally turned to face again. “Alesia wants to tell you what happened.”
“You don’t have to.”
“She wants to. I wasn’t going to tell you because I don’t like being sad. That’s why I was created. She didn’t want to be sad or make others sad for her. Anyway, I’m going to let her talk now.” There was a short pause before the girl started talking again. This time her voice sounded more of her age. “Hi Jack.”
“Alesia?”
“Yeah, it’s me. I figured that the best way for you to understand me is for you to know what happened to me. It’s the reason why I created Echo and Ally. The personality that you’ve come to know is named Ally. Anyway, you’ll also understand why I act the way I do like how I act when I’m around the ocean.” A tear rolled down her face from the memories. Jack pulled her into a hug. Alesia wasn’t like Ally. She accepted what the embrace. “Ok. Here it goes.”

Yep. I made the fist chapter 12 pages because I'm adding a bunch of stuff. The second is 10, but it's not the second chapter of this story. It's actually her just getting her stuff and having the guy character (his name is Elijah) driving her to his place. I did the same with another one that I started writing, but I haven't finished the finally copy yet. The rough draft has been done, but I only have four and a half chapters done because I'm adding more stuff.
The main difference would be that they do call her Aly in the begining because I found a way to work with it and the chapter where Alesia reveals herself, she has nightmares, and Elijah has a backstory that is also going to be a book. That, and I don't know what to call it yet because it will have a different name.
