Just Add Happiness

Alex and I walked into my house and went up to my room. My parents weren't home yet but they will be soon. Telling them i'm moving in with Alex isn't going to be easy. They only met Alex once and it was 2 weeks ago. They loved him but that isn't going to change anything. This kind of had me panicking.

"Jack, are you okay?"

"Yeah, just worried about telling my parents. I don't know what they are going to say."

I didn't have much stuff. Just my clothes, some posters, my guitars, and a few random things here and there. I wasn't one for keeping things unless they meant a lot to me.

"You kept all of this?" I turned around to see what Alex was talking about. I saw that he found the box of stuff I keep with one thing from each date we have been on.

"Yeah, I only keep important stuff. I pick one thing from each date we had and put it in the box." I was blushing because he might think i'm weird.

"That's so cute! Oh my god! you have everything! The tickets for the ice rink, our tickets for DeadPool, the picture we took when we went to Olive Garden. We've gone on a lot of dates, I love it."

"Well we have many more to go on and I'm going to keep filling that box."

Alex smiled and walked over to kiss me. We finished packing everything just in time for the front door to open. We grabbed the 4 boxes of my stuff and started walking down to my car. My parents gave us questionable looks but we kept walking. When we walked back into the house my parents didn't waste any time calling us.

"Jack, Alex! can you come here please?" I grabbed Alex's hand and pulled him into the kitchen.

"Don't worry Lex, nothing bad is going to happen."

I looked at my parents who were sitting at the kitchen table staring back at us. Alex wouldn't look up from the ground and I just gave them a smile.

"Whats up mom?"

"Jack dear, care to explain why you were taking boxes to your car?"

"Yeah about that... Alex and I decided today that I should move into his place."
My parents were shocked. They definitely didn't think I would move out yet.

"WHAT?!? You guys have only been dating a month! This is crazy!" my mother was freaking out and my dad was just sitting there smiling.

"Hun calm down, Jack is old enough to make his own decisions and I think it's cute." Leave it to my dad to be the one on board with all of this.

" How do Alex's parents feel about this? They are okay with you just randomly moving in with them?"

I looked at Alex to see if he was okay with me telling my parents his situation but he was already starting to talk.

"Actually my parents don't even live in this country any more. The day I turned 18 they moved back to England. Plus they told me that if in the future I wanted someone to move in with me it's fine."

"You've been alone all this time?" My mother looked worried.

"Yes, but it has only been a few months. I'm fine though, Jack showed up before I can actually get lonely." Alex looks up at me and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. He was so cute.

"I still don't think this is the best idea. What about if Alex just moved in here with us. That way I know your bills will get payed and you guys will have food." My dad looked over at my mom and chuckled.

"These two already have all of Jack's stuff in the car. They are both over 18 and are perfectly fine with taking care of themselves. You just have to give them a chance."

"Thanks dad, I don't know what we would do without you."

" How about you guys come over for dinner this Friday? That way you can see the house and we can explain everything better?" Alex sounded oddly confident with that and smiled at my parents.

"Okay I guess that could work. Stay safe boys, and know you can always come here if you need to."

"Thanks Mr and Mrs Barakat, sadly Jack and I need to go so we can unpack. See you Friday at 7! Bye!" With that Alex was pulling me out of the door. When we got back home there was a large box on the front lawn.

"Lex? what is that?"

"It's crazy what you can get on the internet and have in sent to your house with in hours isn't it?"

"I stand by my earlier question."

"Its a bed silly, I didn't think I could buy one online but I guess I can!"

We pulled the box in the house and upstairs into the master bedroom. I looked around since it was my first time being in this room and it was huge!!

"Alex this is huge!!!"

"Funny enough, no one has ever used this room before."

"What? Didn't your parents use this room?"

"Nope. They stayed in the room down stairs. My dad set up my room so that's why I had the other one. It was the closest one to the stairs. My parents didn't make any sense. This room has everything but they didn't want it and they kept it locked."

"You're parents are weird. But oh my goodness! Is that a 72 inch TV?!? and A built in bathroom? I'm never leaving this room again." I was loving this already. I don't understand how life can be so great right now.

"Yeah my parents got it for me for my birthday but I never put it up. But I figured it could work for in here."

"How do they afford all of this?! They can get you such a big TV, they payed off your house and still pay the bills for you! That's crazy!"

"Yeah, I didn't tell you this but my family is kind of rich. The Gaskarth name is kind of royalty where I come from." Alex chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Wait. you're not only are you telling me that i'm dating a rich guy but he is also royalty?"

"Yeah, funny isn't it. My grandfather was kind of a King but he got to old so my parents left because they might have to run a country. But I wanted to stay here."

"So that means you're a prince?" OH MY GOD.

"You can say that..."

"THIS IS AMAZING!!!!"

"Don't let this change anything please. There is a reason no one knows. I hate getting treated differently. I'm already the weird nerdy kid, I don't want people to know it's because when I lived at the castle I had personal tutors and all I did was study and do what ever a young prince does. I'm so weird because of all that. That's why I don't talk to anyone or have friends other then you and Rian."

"Don't worry my little prince, your secret is safe with me." I pulled him into a hug and kissed the top of his head.

"I guess you calling me prince works out better then you thought huh?"

"You bet it did!"

"Well lets finish putting all this stuff up and away to we can sleep. I have school tomorrow and you have work."

"Your wish is my command my prince" I playfully bowed and smiled up at Alex. Alex looked down at me and laughed.

"Shut up Jack, you're lucky I love you because that was lame."

"I love you too baby"

and I did, more then anything. Who would have thought that such a rich and powerful boy would only need a little love to bring him actual happiness and I was lucky enough to be the one to give it to him.
