Just Add Happiness

"RIAN I NEED TO BE AT THE PARK IN 30 MINUTES AND I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR!!!!" I was currently running around my room looking for something to put on.

"Alex calm the fuck down. You have a closet full of clothes just pick something." Rian has been no help what so ever, all he was doing was laying on my bed on his phone.

"You don't understand I have to look good. You've seen Jack, he is beautiful. I don't even know why he wants to be seen with someone like me." I wasn't good looking in any way. I had big eyebrows, I was kind of chubby, and my hair is weird.

"Alex you're not bad looking or chubby. Dude you actually pretty skinny. We've been through all of this before, plus you're only a teenager. You will get better with age. Now I have to leave soon so go put something on so I can take you to the park."

"Okay, go to the car i'll be down in 5 minutes."

"Okay" Rian turned back to look at me before he was all the way outside of the door "Remember Jack is gonna like what ever you wear so don't stress."

I quickly put on the first band shirt I could find and some of my nicest skinny jeans. I mean Jack didn't say we were doing anything to fancy. I ran downstairs and put on my shoes and ran out the door and to Rian's car. 15 minutes later and I was sitting on a park bench waiting for Jack. I was really nervous so I was looking down and didn't see someone walk up.

"Hello Sunshine" I looked up and saw the gorgeous person I was lucky enough to be asked out by.

"Hi" I blushed as he sat down and put his arm around me.

"So anything good happen to you today?"

"Yeah actually, a really cute guy may have asked me out, in a really cheesy way." I don't know why it was so easy to joke with him. It took me a few weeks to even use full sentences around Rian.

"A cute guy huh? Does this guy have a name? And it may have been cheesy but it worked didn't it?"

"I think it was Jack and yea I guess it did" ugh why is he doing this to me I thought whilst blushing again.

"So you think i'm cute? What an honor, however I think you might be cuter." he tightened his arm around me pulling me closer.

"I do believe you are the cuter one of the two of us. I'm not cute at all. I'm barley decent. I don't even know how you're willingly sitting so close to me." I made it a point to look everywhere but at Jack.

"Why would you say such untrue things about your self? You look like a prince."

"Jack..."

"No, I don't think you understand how wonderful you actually look. I never want to look away. From the 5 minutes we've been talking I can already tell i'm gonna love spending time with you, I bet everyone loves being around you."

"I only talk to Rian other then that i'm always alone." I started to tear up but I wouldn't let tears fall.

"Well, lets be alone together." That had me smiling. Not only has no one ever said something like that to me and gave me hope but he actually quoted Fall Out Boy and that is great in my book. "Now my prince, I think we have a date to continue" He stood up and took my hand walking us trough the park and to an ice rink. Oh no, this isn't going to end well.

"Umm, Jack.... I can't ice skate."

"It's a good thing I will be there to hold your hand then." He smiled and went to rent us skates.
He brought them back and after putting them on, it took everything in my power to be able to walk to the ice. Jack kept his hands on my hips as we walked and I may have tripped on purpose a few times so he would hold me tighter. I'm not even sorry.

"Jack, i'm gonna fall. I don't want to fall. Don't make me do this." I looked at him and he was just smiling at me and that smile is going to be trouble in the future because all it did was make me want to do anything as long as Jack was there.

"You'll be fine Lex, I'm right here and I wont let you go, I promise." We got on the ice and with in one minute we were both on our butts. Jack was only down because he didn't let go of me when I feel. At least now I know he keeps his promises.

"Told you I would fall" I mumble.

"And I told you I wouldn't let go so we both said things we meant. Now lets get up and actually skate." Jack jumped up and tried to help me up. Sadly my legs decided they didn't want to work so I kept falling. After about 15 minutes of trying to get up, I gave up and sat there pouting as Jack laughed.

"Stop laughing at me" I crossed my arms, pouting up at him.

"I'm sorry but its kind of funny. I didn't think someone could be that bad. Now I think it's time we gave up on this and did something else." Jack pulled me over to the exit and I crawled off the ice because there was no way I could stand. I pulled off my skates and ran around screaming.

"I CAN WALK!!! WHO EVER DECIDED ICE SKATING WAS A GOOD IDEA IN THE FIRST PLACE IS WRONG BECAUSE WALKING IS GREAT!!"

"Alright ya freak we have another place to be so lets get going before you hurt yourself." Jack was chuckling and it might be my favorite sound. We started walking to our next location which Jack wouldn't tell me.

"Jack i'm actually having a great time right now, even though I spent half the night falling" Just thinking about how stupid I probably looked make me laugh.

"Well a prince deserves to be happy and have fun. And I want to be the one to make it happen." Jack grabbed my hand as we walked and all I could do was smile.

"Reminded me to thank Rian for dragging me into that cafe".
