Things Are Shaping Up To Be Pretty Odd

Ugh, I’m so excited yet nervous for tonight. I know that me and Jack have been dating for 2 years now, but dates with him always make me nervous. In a good way though.
I just finished getting ready with time to spare, surprisingly. I’m waiting for him to come get me. Yes, we live together but he went over to Lex’s today. Probably to prepare shit or something. I have no clue.
About ten minutes later I heard a knock on the door. I looked down at my watch, 7:30, Jack’s early, by about 30 minutes. I got up and smoothed down my dress, and made my way to the door. When I opened it Alex was standing on the other side. I wonder what this is about.
“Hey Lex. What are you doing here?”
“Jack asked me to pick you up and bring you to the location of your date?” What is that little fucker planning?
“Why?”
“All I’m gonna say is that he is one romantic little fucker. Makes me want to puke but then I remember that I’m the same way with Lisa”
“Exactly Lex. You can’t say we’re to cute, because I can pull the same card. And you guys are really cute together, I’m so glad you finally manned up and proposed”
“Thanks Nic”
“Always Lex. Now let’s get going”
“Okay. Eager much?”
“Oh shut it”
Most of the ride was silent, but a comfortable silent. About 20 minutes in Alex decided to break the silence.
“We’re almost there, when we get there you’re gonna need to close your eyes, as ordered by Jack” Seriously, what is this little fucker planning?
“Okay”
After about another 10 or so minutes we pulled into an abandoned parking lot. It seemed kinda familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on why it did.
“Close your eyes, Nic. I’ll be over there in a sec to help you out”
“Okay” I said and closed my eyes. I heard a door open and close then another door open.
“Okay, I’m gonna unbuckle you”
“Okay” I felt him reach over me and heard a click then he grabbed my hands and carefully pulled me out of the car.
“So I’m gonna walk behind you and lead you to your destination”
“Okay. But if you make me fall I will sneak into your room when your sleeping and chop off your dick. And you know Lisa will help me”
“Ugh. You just had to ruin my fun didn’t you?”
“Yup. Love you Lexy”
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever let’s go”
After what felt like forever we stopped. Must be there. I felt Alex’s hands leave my shoulders and heard footsteps both walking away and walking towards me.
“Open your eyes baby” I heard the voice of Jack whisper as he grabbed my hands. I opened my eyes and was hit with why the area looked so familiar. It was where Jack asked me to be his girlfriend. I started to tear up a bit as I remembered that day. I remember it like it was yesterday.
“Jacky where are we going?” I asked for probably the millionth time.
“It’s a surprise” He responded again. I groaned.
“Are we almost there?”
“Yup. In fact we are here” He said as he pulled into an abandoned parking lot.
“Jacky, why did you take me to an abandoned parking lot?”
“Come with me” He said and grabbed my hand.
“Okay” He led me down a path and we reached a beautiful field with a gazebo in the middle.
“Jacky, this is beautiful” I said turning to him.
“I’m glad you like it. Let’s lay down”
“Okay” I said walking to a place in the field and laid down, Jack mimicking my movements.
After about 20 or so minutes Jack looked over at me.
“Nic I have a question for you”
“Ask away”
“Okay so well, I’ve liked you for a while now and well I was wondering if you’d maybe be my girlfriend. I get it if you don’t want to” He rambled nervously.
“Jack, look at me” He looked up and I took a deep breath, confident in what I was about to say.
“Jacky, I’d love to be your girlfriend” I said confidently. I watched his whole face light up as he pulled me on top of him.
“Really?”
“Really” I whispered as I leaned down and kissed him.
That was quite possibly the best day of my life.
“Jacky, this is where you asked me to be your girlfriend” I murmured to him as a tear rolled down my cheek. A tear of pure happiness.
“Yes, yes it is. And it was that exact spot too” He murmured back and pointed.
“It was, wasn’t it? Well shall we go lay down? You know, for old times sake?”
“I was hoping you’d say that” He answered and led me to our spot and laid down, me mimicking his movements.
We laid in silence just like that day, the only difference being that I was in his arms.
What felt like an eternity later, but was only an hour, he stood up.
“May I have this dance?” He asked reaching a hand down to me.
“Yes, you may” I answered with a smile and grabbed his hand. He pulled me up and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around his neck and we danced to the imaginary music. This was a moment I would treasure forever.
Once the song in our minds ended we stopped dancing.
“I love you Nic”
“I love you too. And I have a question Nic” I smiled at that. It was the same line he used when he asked me to be his girlfriend.
“Ask away” I said using my same line.
“Well it was this night two years ago I asked you to be my girlfriend” He said as he leaned down on one knee. I began tearing up. He grabbed my hands with both of his.
“I honestly didn’t think you would say yes that day. When you did it was quite possibly one of the best moments of my life. These past two years have been some of the best. When you moved in with me last year I was so happy that I would be able to wake up and see your smiling face everyday. I love that you get to come on tour with me because you got employed by Matt to keep us in line. I love being able to see you everyday when I wake up and when I go to bed. I love seeing your beautiful smile. I love you on your good days. I love you on your bad days. I love you when you’re laughing. I love you when you’re crying. Overall, I love you. I never want to let you go. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So Nicole Alexandra Williams, will you marry me?” He pulled out a box and opened it revealing probably the most beautiful piece of jewellery I have ever seen. I was in tears and nodding my head like crazy.
“Yes, yes, yes. A million times yes, Jack. Yes, I will marry you” I cried out. He put the ring on my finger and stood up. I threw my arms around his neck and collided my lips with his, putting every ounce of love I have for him into the kiss. Him returning the kiss with the same amount of love.
“I love you Nicole” He whispered as he pulled away and hugged me.
“I love you too Jack” I whispered back hugging him back, holding him as close to me as possible.
