Zack's Pov.. I stood on the stage with my black and white bass jumping about and putting my whole heart into this performance and ignoring Jack whenever he came over to my side of the stage, but I did take part in our unison jumps. After Alex had finished 'Stay Awake' I went and took a gulp of water the sweat already running down me. I smiled as he made his over to me slowly I watched as Alex got closer and closer and finally kissed me, I stood there frozen with shock he usually done this with Jack and I could hear the roar of the crowd. Then it was over just as quickly as it had started, I wanted so much to pull Alex back and kiss him right there and I wasn't sure why. I watched as he skipped away from me winking and then went back to talking to the crowd who were still cheering about the kiss. I went and got more water trying to hide my blush from Alex and the crowd but I could see Alex looked slightly flushed as well, it was probably just from playing on stage I told myself."Okay so this next song I'm going to dedicate to our own Zachary Merrick, this one's for you" Alex said grinning at me as he started to play 'Under A Paper Moon' I joined in quickly after I got over him dedicating a song to me, I started to get back from my shock of Alex's lips on mines but my lips still tingled when I thought of the kiss and all through the song Jack kept throwing me and Alex weird looks. I wondered why Alex was doing this but whatever it was I liked it and I hadn't even thought of Jack since. When Alex was playing 'Remembering Sunday' Jack came up to me as I was backstage watching from the side of the stage "Zack what was that on stage?" He asked his hands on my shoulder, I froze then spoke. "Alex being Alex, you know what he's like Jack" I said laughing and Jack just nodded not really believing me. "Yeah I guess your right I just thought for a minute there was something going on" Jack shrugged, I looked at Alex again and loved the sound of his voice. "No Jack, he's with Lisa he wouldn't do that to her" I said still watching Alex and how had the whole audience captured "I guess" He said giving my shoulders a squeeze and walked away probably to find Rian since we were going back on in a minute, I don't know why Jack was acting like this with me now even though he had stopped since Heather came along but now strangely I didn't even care. Alex caught me watching him, he gave me a wink while I felt my stomach did a back flip and I blushed looking away from him, I knew tonight was going to be a weird one. After the show we all walked back to the bus and I watched for the sofa as Alex grabbed six beers from the fridge and carried a DVD case in his mouth and motioned me to follow him. We stuck the DVD on which turned out to be Iron Man 2 I could only laugh as we sat on the couch far apart from each other, I found it awkward even though I shouldn't I mean Alex has been my best friend since school none of this should be awkward. I got up and moved next to Alex but not touching him and after about ten minutes of not really watching the movie I felt Alex's hands pulling me down to his side and I snuggled into his chest, I heard his phone buzz and I got up so he could fish it out his pocket he looked at the screen and sighed."What's up?" I asked and Alex looked at me and shook his head putting on a smile"Nothing it's fine" He said putting his phone on the table beside him, I took a gulp of my drink and looked at him"Alex stop it, what's wrong" I said looking him right in the eyes, he sighed and turned to DVD up so no one would hear what we were talking about.
