Barakat, Jack Barakat
“What’s wrong?” Amy poked Jack in his side. The pair were cuddled up on the couch watching a film. It was 10am and they had decided to have a nice relaxing day. Amy had gotten up early for work, only to receive a phone call that she wasn’t needed. Jack had been staring off into the distance, not really focussing on the movie.
“Yes, I’m fine!”
“Jack, you can tell me what’s wrong. What is it?”
“Oh my god, I don’t have to tell you everything. Just drop it will you. I’m sick of the questions”
“Why are you being like this? The past week or 2 you’ve been nothing but an ass!” Amy stood up, grabbing her jacket and keys.
“Where are you going?” Jack called.
“Out” she slammed the door behind her.
“Amy! Nice of you to drop by without warning” Alex laughed.
“Uurrgghh” Amy groaned walking into his apartment.
“What’s up? Is it boy troubles because I am all ears hunny” Alex laughed.
“It’s Jack. He’s just not acting like himself at all” she flopped down on the couch.
“Yes. I don’t know what’s wrong with him Alex. I tried asking and he blew up on me”
“I’m sure it’s nothing. He’s probably just stressed”
“Stressed? What is there to be stressed about?”
“I don’t know, just forget about him. I know what will take your mind off of him” he wiggled his eyebrows.
“We’ve been over this a thousand times Alex; I’m not sleeping with you” she laughed.
“Nooo, no. I’ve come to terms with that and accepted it. I’m gonna take you out for the day” he smiled.
“Oh god, where?”
“We’re gonna go to the zoo” he grinned.
“The zoo does sound pretty good”
“YES! It’s a plan. I’ll go get ready and we’ll leave”
“IT’S SO CUTE OH MY GOD” Amy gushed at the Arctic fox.
“Alex, buy me one” she pouted.
“God no! That’s Jack’s job” he laughed.
“Come on, let’s go and see the penguins!” the pair walked off in search of the penguin exhibit.
“Okay, now I want one of these guys!” Amy laughed.
“Lex, I want a picture with the penguins” Amy grined. Alex held out his phone at arms length to get a good angle of them and the penguins. Amy pulled a tongue as he took the picture.
“This is going on snapchat”
“Oh my god, you’re Alex Gaskarth” a girl approached them.
“I am he. Or am I?” he grinned and Amy just rolled her eyes.
“I’m a huge fan, oh my god” she grinned.
“Can I just hug you?” she laughed.
“Of course you can, I don’t bite! Unless you want me to” Alex laughed holding out his arms.
“Do you mind if we get a picture?” she asked.
“Yes, of course” he took the girls phone from her, taking a few pictures of the pair.
“Thank you so much!” she grinned.
“Hey, you’re Amy aren’t you?”
“Uhh, yeah” Amy smiled nervously.
“I just wanna say that you and Jack are really cute together” she smiled.
“Oh, thank you” Amy grinned.
“It was so nice to meet you both. Thank you so much!” she grinned, walking away.
“She was cute” Amy smiled.
“I’m glad she wasn’t one of our younger fans who would probably scream and attract so much unwanted attention” Alex laughed.
“That would’ve been a nightmare”
“So she thinks you and Jack are cute” he nudged her.
“Yeah” she sighed being reminded of Jack.
“He’ll come around soon” Alex pulled her in for a hug.
“I hope so. It’s really pissing me off because I haven’t done anything wrong” she frowned.
“Hey, this day is supposed to be about you forgetting about it. So chin up, and smile” she gave him a weak smile.
“Close enough. Now let’s go see some polar bears!” he skipped off like a little girl. Amy followed behind him laughing.
“Thank you for today Lex. You really didn’t have to do this”
“It was my treat. Now it’s late, you better get home and see if cranky pants is still awake” he laughed. Amy waved him off, getting into her car and driving home.
She tried her best to open the door as quietly as possible. After getting back from the zoo, Alex and Amy had sat around for hours talking. They had played a few games, ordered pizza and had actually fallen asleep at one point. Amy had woken up completely cuddled into Alex. She smiled at the thought as she made her way into the living room. No sign of Jack. She walked into the kitchen and he was nowhere to be seen. She stood at the bottom of the stairs listening to see if she could hear him. She almost laughed when she heard his faint snoring. She then remembered how pissed she was with him. No way was he getting to cuddle with her tonight. She pulled out a blanket from the cupboard and made her way over to the couch. She lay down, covering herself and sighed. She just hoped that tomorrow Jack would be back to his normal self.
Just want to give you a heads up; the next chapter, Chapter 50, is the last chapter of this story. I'm actually so sad.
