Barakat, Jack Barakat

“YOU FUCKING CHEATER” Amy screamed.
“Come on now, no need to accuse me of that” Jack put his hands up, defending himself.
“Alex, back me up here” Amy shot Alex a glare, daring him to oppose her.
“Listen Amy, I think you’ve got it wrong” Alex said cautiously.
“Alex! You’re supposed to be my friend, now you’re against me? Fine. I didn’t like you anyway” Amy folded her arms, letting out a puff of air as she sat down on the couch.
“I can’t even look at you right now Alex. Going against your dearest, most amazing friend in the whole world” she pouted.
“To be fair, Jack already claimed that title long before you arrived” Jack burst out laughing at Alex’s reply.
“I AM VICTORIOUS” he shouted, throwing his arms in the air.
“Just admit it Amelia, you’re a sore loser” he was now eye level with her, looking her in the face.
“What did you just call me?” she shot him a mischievous glare.
“A sore loser. L-O-S-E-R, loser” he poked his tongue out, making an L shape with his fingers on his forehead.
“I wasn’t talking about the loser part. You just called me by my actual name” Jack looked at her realising what he had said.
“Oh you’re dead, Barakat” she shot up, chasing him into the kitchen. He made a break for the stairs, but Amy caught up and jumped on his back.
“Jesus woman, you’re heavy!”
“Like you can talk, now what’s my name?” she said, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Amelia” he smirked.
“Wrong answer” she said tightening her legs around his waist.
“Now tell me, what’s my name again?”
“This is assault” he laughed.
“Come on now Jack, we can do this all day” she ran her fingers through his hair.
“Now tell me what my name is” she grabbed onto his hair, yanking his head back so that she could see his face.
“Ow ow ow, not the hair! I give up, Amy, your name is Amy” he quickly shouted.
“Good boy” she leaned down and kissed the tip of his nose. She loosened her grip around him.
“Now take me back to Alex. I want a rematch” she said referring to the game of Mario Kart in which Jack had beaten her at. 4 times.
The rest of the afternoon was spent lounging around Jack’s apartment, playing video games and eating food. It was just after 6pm when Amy received a text.
“Okay guys, I’ve gotta go. Got to go and meet the cousin” she stood, grabbing her jacket.
“Want me to come with?” Alex offered. Amy just laughed.
“Please. I’d prefer that you stay in one piece and not be ravished by my cousin” she laughed.
“I’ll see you guys again sometime” she smiled as she walked out the door.
“So, you guys seem to be getting on better than I thought” Alex nudged Jack, giving him a sly smirk.
“I suppose we’re back to being comfortable around each other” he shrugged.
“Do you still love her?” Jack was completely thrown by Alex’s question.
“Sorry, what?” he pretended not to hear Alex’s question.
“You heard me. I said, do you still love her?” Jack just looked his best friend in the eyes, knowing that Alex knew 100% what his answer would be.

“Holly!” Amy almost squealed as she seen her cousin approaching. They both ran at each other like a scene from a movie, arms out ready to embrace, although Amy decided to stop, knowing that her clumsy self would probably collide with her cousin at force, and probably end up on her ass. She stood and waited for her cousin to approach, pulling her into a tight hug when she did.
“It’s been so long!” Holly said, smiling up at her.
“I know, I know, I’ve been busy, like I said” the pair made their way into town, in search of somewhere to eat.
“So, how’s my favourite person in the whole world? Holly beamed at Amy. Amy hadn’t actually thought about it, but the afternoon in Jack’s had really made her happy. Just being around Jack made her a happier person.
“I am amazing actually, thank you” she grinned.
“I wasn’t talking about you, ugh, I was talking about Alex. How is he???” she smiled again, Amy just rolled her eyes.

“Thanks for the food” Holly said as she finished up, taking a sip of her drink.
“Now tell what happened with you and Jack” she leaned forward onto the table.
“Holly, I know I said I’d tell you, but I’m not really sure I want to speak about it just yet” she was still a bit sensitive about that subject. She knew that Jack’s fans probably all knew about their breakup. If Holly knew, then thousands of others must know as well. What would the fans think if they saw her with Jack again? They wouldn’t be happy, that’s for sure. She had avoided using her twitter for a few months. She was scared to even open up the app.
“I understand, just promise me that you’ll tell me one day” Amy was a bit wary, but knew she couldn’t keep if from her cousin forever.
“I promise” she smiled, linking her little finger with Holly’s.
“So your birthday is coming up! What are you doing for it?” Holly grinned.
“Actually, a group of us are going to Disney World. I kind of begged Alex to go when I was drunk one night, so now we’re going for my birthday” she smiled.
“When you say a group of you, do you mean Jack is going?”
“Yes, Holly” Amy sighed.
“Are you sure having him there would be a wise thing to do?”
“Holly, we’re cool with each other now, we’re back to being really good friends actually. I was actually at his place today before I met with you” she smiled. Holly gave her a cheeky smirk.
“What?” Amy asked her cousin, not liking the look on her face.
“Oh nothing” Holly sang, grinning from ear to ear.
